The most vile creation of the evil Unicron is a creature so shameful and foul that Autobot warriors fear to speak of it. Nemesis Prime - the powerful but twisted clone of the legendary Optimus Prime, pulled out of time and perverted to the cruel villian's purposes - possesses all the knowledge and wisdom of the Autobot leader, but is powered by a deep love of evil and destruction. Perhaps the greatest threat to the Universe ever created by Unicron. Nemesis Prime carries within its body the Dead Matrix, an artifact capable of negating and destroying forever the powerful Autobot Matrix of Leadership.

A [[Heralds|Herald of Unicron]], '''Nemesis Prime''' is a dark clone of an [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]] who was was left for dead by [[Megazarak]] to rot on the shores of the [[Rust Sea]].

Nemesis Prime was once the Cybertronian leader Optimus Prime from another Dimension conquered by Unicron. In that reality The Prime was defeated by the herald of Unicron known as Megazarak, captured, it's Spark tortured and experimented on by the Chaos Bringer. Unicron kept the Prime locked in a state of un-being, it's spark separated from body, yet prevented from joining the All-Spark. Tortured for an eternity until pain became indistiguishable from pleasure and the former Autobot longed for only this sensation. Broken, he was reformatted into Nemesis Prime and granted Unicron's Dead Matrix, the former Autobots Matrix which during the centuries of torture had rotted and been perversed into a weapon capable of annihilating Primus, just as the Autobot Matrix possesses the power to destroy Unicron.

It is the Commander and most Evil member of the Decepticons gathered by Unicron. It also serves as one of the greatest threats to the universe next to Unicron, possessing the wisdom of an Autobot leader yet devoid of all compassion. Of note is that Nemesis Prime is listed in Biography material as a "Champion" of Unicron rather than a Herald. This is believed to denote that the Character voluntarily carries out it's role rather than having to be constantly coerced or forced into action as G1 Galvatron often was.

Nemesis Prime and [[Ramjet (Universe)|Ramjet]] arrived via dimensional portal over an abandoned [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] threatened by the [[Unicron Singularity]]. Quickly, they attempted to amass followers to aide them in their attempt to unleash Nemesis Prime's [[Dead Matrix]] on [[Primus]]' essence, allowing their master [[Unicron]] a posthumous victory. Ultimately, the followers amounted to little more than a handful of [[Scrapmetal drones|Scrapmetal]].

The pair were countered by [[Vector Prime]] and [[Sentinel Maximus]]. During a battle with Sentinel Maximus, Nemesis Prime was able to seal himself into Primus' spark chamber alone. However, Nemesis Prime was defeated by ''[[Robots in Disguise]]'' [[Optimus Prime (RiD)|Optimus Prime]] and [[Ultra Magnus (RiD)|Ultra Magnus]] en route from the end of the ''[[Universe]]'' conflict.

Nemesis Prime was a monstrous Transformer, controlled by Sideways, sent to kill the Autobots and Decepticons while they were on their way to Cybertron. It scanned the minds of the Transformers that landed on the planet it was waiting on to ambush them and took the form of Optimus Prime as he was the most powerful and respected in all their minds. As a duplicate of Optimus Prime, Nemesis had all of Prime's strength and power - in addition to his ability to reconstruct himself. Despite this, it was later destroyed by Optimus (combined with Overload), and the newly-reformatted Galvatron.

Nemesis Prime wielded the Dark Saber, a twisted clone of the Star Saber, and had a Mini-Con partner named Run-Over. Run-Over was only seen alongside Nemesis Prime in the Linkage DVD comics released in Japan. Here, he was used in gun mode, to help Nemesis Prime create an artifact called the "Doomstone."

Nemesis Prime was first encountered on a distant planet composed of salt and technorganic materials. The origins of this planet are unknown, but some speculate that it could be a world Unicron devastated eons ago. Nemesis Prime was a Unicron-created being that acted very savage and feral in nature, using his [[Dark Saber]] to nearly destroy several of the [[Autobot]]s and [[Decepticon]]s. Although the character seemed beastly and insane, his exact motives and personality are unknown, as he was simply a puppet of [[Sideways]]. Nemesis Prime was eventually destroyed by a combined blast from [[Megatron (Armada)|Megatron]] and the [[Requiem Blaster]], and [[Optimus Prime (Armada)|Optimus Prime]] using his new [[Overload (Armada)|Overload]] power unit. Sideways was seen fleeing the scene in [[trans-phase mode]], while Nemesis Prime's remains were scatted about the area. Mysteriously, the planet immediately began to break down and was destroyed without reason or warning.

It's worth noting that the Transformers encountered Nemesis Prime and this planet only after falling into a black hole that had taken shape due to Unicron's lack of a physical body. Nemesis Prime's current status is unknown, but it ain't looking too good for him.

It is the most powerful of the Binaltech bodies created: a near perfect melding of robot technology, Earthling construction and miniaturization techniques, enhanced with the improvisations of one of Earth s most brilliant technical minds. This plan was hatched years ago when Arkeville had the opportunity to remain close to Optimus Prime long enough to acquire a near-complete scan of his programming using a subspace-impulse cloner of his own design. Years of hacking since has brought Arkeville to a level of understanding of Transformers programming decades beyond any other on Earth. Housed within this deadly shell is a near complete clone of the great Optimus Prime, reprogrammed as a tool of destruction and a scion of command.
