Transformers: Robots in Disguise is an animated television series that premiered on Cartoon Network The first thirteen episodes of season 2 began screening on February 20, 2016, with a second thirteen-episode block set for release in fall 2016.

Season 1 of the show is currently available on Netflix in certain regions.

Overview
Years after the Great War, the Autobot prison ship Alchemor crashes on Earth near Crown City, sparking a mass Decepticon jailbreak. Meanwhile, on a rebuilt Cybertron, war veteran Bumblebee is now working as a street cop, mentoring Cadet Strongarm. Bumblebee is alerted to the danger on Earth by a vision of a ghostly Optimus Prime, who directs them to a nearby space bridge.

Bumblebee unwillingly finds himself accompanied to Earth by Strongarm, and the delinquent Sideswipe, where they encounter Fixit, sole caretaker of the former prison ship. They're joined by the ex-Decepticon prisoner Grimlock, human scrapyard owner Denny Clay and his son Russell. Although he's not confident in his leadership abilities, Bumblebee nevertheless pledges to round up the inmates of the Alchemor. Chief among the Decepticon threat is the charismatic Steeljaw, who seeks to organize the escaped prisoners into an effective cabal to conquer the planet.

Over the course of the first season, new Autobots bolster the ranks of the team, including the bounty hunter Drift, his two Mini-Cons Jetstorm and Slipstream, the mysterious Windblade, and finally Optimus Prime himself, returned to life by the Thirteen to defeat Megatronus.

Season 2 sees Bumblebee's team split into two groups: an "away team" to search the world for far-ranging Decepticons while Bumblebee, Strongarm, Grimlock, and Fixit hold down the fort near Crown City. Still recovering from his humiliating rout at the hands of Megatronus, Steeljaw allies with a mysterious group of Decepticons led by Glowstrike and Scorponok, operating out of a crashed Cybertronian ship.

Japanese release
Robots in Disguise was released in Japan as two separately branded series.
Transformers Adventure
Transformers Adventure (トランスフォーマー アドベンチャー Toransufōmā Adobenchā) aired on the satellite network Animax with a Sunday, 9am timeslot. Adventure was the first Transformers cartoon to be relegated directly to satellite since Beast Wars Returns. It premiered on March 15, 2015... only a day after the US premiere.

The localization for the series was headed by Keiichirō Miyoshi, who headed the localization of the live-action Transformers films for Japanese markets. This also makes Adventure the first American Transformers cartoon to be released in Japan without the oversight of Yoshikazu Iwanami since Generation 1. While an effort was made to emulate the dubbing style of Iwanami, which has become synonymous with Transformers cartoons in Japan, the adlibbing was not nearly as extensive and fourth wall-breaking humor was non-existent.

Since Adventure aired on a satellite network and not a broadcast network, it was not edited for time like previous Transformers cartoons. The episodes were fully uncut and featured extended opening and ending sequences. The title sequence was comprised mostly of clips from episodes, but new animation (mostly group shots) was provided by Studio. The end credits sequence featured a newly animated "stage performance" from the cast (which really must be seen to be believed), animated by Nakano Design.

As is rather well-known, Transformers: Prime did not complete its run in Japan, ending at 52 episodes. To date, Japanese audiences have not received the Beast Hunters episodes or the Predacons Rising film. The Adventure series did not alter the scripts to account for this, although it mostly played as a separate entity from Prime.

Animax aired the episodes using the Australian broadcast order rather than the US order, which is actually the incorrect continuity sequence. As a result, "Sideways" aired before "Out of Focus".

The theme song for the series is "Save the Future!!" by Mitsuhiro Oikawa and the ending theme is "Try☆Transformers Adventure↑↑↑" performed by the primary cast of the show (Bumblebee, Strongarm, Sideswipe, Fixit, Grimlock, and Optimus Prime).

Transformers Adventure -Prime of Micron-
Season 2 will begin airing in 2016 under the title Transformers Adventure -Prime of Micron- (トランスフォーマー アドベンチャー -マイクロンの章- Toransufōmā Adobenchā -Maikuron no Shō-). Incidentally, the "Maikuron no Shō" portion of the Japanese title actually translates to "Micron Chapter", but nobody tell them that.

Notes
*Robots in Disguise did not have the most successful record when it came to premiering new episodes; in fact, every single episode of the first season was released through a different venue before it was broadcast on US television.
**The first 13 episodes of the series were released, dubbed in Mandarin Chinese, on December 31, 2014 in mainland China, but not Hong Kong, several weeks in advance of their US broadcast. The episodes were made available on website 1905.com, with five-minute previews being free and the whole episodes available until January 15 for CNY/RMB ¥19.5, which is around USD$3–4. You could even win a "fabulous" assortment of Hasbro toys (legion class) and a RMB¥30 digital coupon if you paid for the episodes!
**The show went on to to premiere on Canal J in France, Biggs in Portugal, and Cartoon Network in Hungary before the USA airings began. In particular, the English-language version of the show premiered on Cartoon Network in Australia and New Zealand about a month before the US airing; the channel aired two episodes a week instead of one, and so quickly tore through the first thirteen episodes of the season.
**The fourteenth episode debuted on Singgaporean television two months before its US airing.
**The final twelve episodes of the season were then released in two six-episode chunks via Autralian iTunes in the first two weeks of June, 2015, allowing viewers to see the season finale three months before it aired in the US.
**Things seemed like they were going better for the second season, which managed to debut 6 episodes on US television, before Cartoon Network UK—airing two new episodes a week instead of just one—caught up to, and overtook, the US broadcast, airing the season finale around a month before the US.
*While it's possibly a coincidence, this series features antagonists with animal-like forms for the Autobots to fight, much like the series' 2001 namesake predecessor and its featured villains.
The severely outnumbered Autobots on Decepticon Island desperately search for a way to stop Steeljaw and his army. Tensions between Bumblebee and Optimus could put the mission, and the entire world, at risk.

Synopsis
The Autobots, having infiltrated the crashed Alchemor, are surrounded by Decepticons. Saberhorn and Steeljaw bicker over the latter's leadership coup, and though Glowstrike is tempted to strike, the fact Steeljaw has two Decepticon Hunters stops her. Optimus Prime and Bumblebee disagree on their next course of action, so Windblade takes matters into her own hands, taking off as a distraction. The other Autobots make a run for it, but Drift and Bumblebee are hit by fire from Steeljaw in the process. Though they escape, it's with the loss of Windblade and Bumblebee's Decepticon Hunter.

As Windblade is carried away, Glowstrike picks up the lost Decepticon Hunter and prepares to take back leadership from Steeljaw, but she and Saberhorn are merely blasted by their betrayer who claims the weapon himself.

Bumblebee and Optimus again clash over the latter trying to take leadership from the former. The team splits up, with Drift and Ratchet going to rescue Windblade; Strongarm, Sideswipe and Grimlock trying to free the Mini-Con captives; and Bumblebee, Optimus and Toolbox continuing with the cryo-bomb plan.

On shore, Fixit is determined to help the captive Mini-Cons. While Denny and Russell Clay are distracted readying disguises, he steals a boat and heads out towards the Alchemor.

Overload is securing Windblade in a stasis pod when Drift and Ratchet burst in on him. A fight ensues and the Autobots are knocked into stasis pods, however Drift's Mini-Cons manage to detach and avoid being trapped as well.

Strongarm, Sideswipe and Grimlock stumble on a communications room, which they realize can be used to transmit a signal to deactivate the inhibitor collars enslaving the Mini-Cons. Before they can do so, they're found by Groundpounder and Thunderhoof who engage them in battle.

Bumblebee's trio is making their way through the ship, though Bumblebee's irritation is boiling over and he and Optimus are forced to talk out their problem, with Bumblebee managing to persuade Optimus to let him lead. They reach the ventilation hub and start planting the cryo bomb but are interrupted by Steeljaw. The Decepticon combines his Decepticon Hunters, granting himself tremendous power.

Fixit sneaks through the Alchemor until he stumbles on his enslaved fellow Mini-Cons. When one of the slaves collapses and it appears that a Decepticon is about to terminate, Fixit steps in to block his shot.

Jetstorm and Slipstream manage to free Ratchet and Windblade who successfully take out Overload shortly before Drift is freed. They head for the rendezvous.

Meanwhile Strongarm's team is having trouble against Groundpounder and Thunderhoof. Strongarm manages to kick Sideswipe over to the communication controls, and he sets up a signal which incapacitates the two Decepticons. He then sets the console to deactivate the inhibitor collars, allowing Fixit and his newly-freed Mini-Con pals overcome the Decepticon guards.

Bumblebee and Optimus struggle with the supercharged Steeljaw, however a mayday from Toolbox has Fixit's group come to their aid. While the Mini-Cons keep Steeljaw busy, Bumblebee attempts to complete the bomb, and Optimus helps out after Steeljaw overcomes the Mini-Cons. The bomb is soon complete, but they need to find some way to keep Steeljaw on the island so he'll be affected when it goes off. As the three larger bots clash, the Mini-Cons manage to deprive Steeljaw of his weapon, which Bumblebee promptly takes possession of. He uses it to trap Steeljaw in the floor. The Autobots speed back to the boats and manage to get clear before the bomb goes off. Fixit reports the Decepticons on board the ship are now all in stasis.

In the aftermath, Toolbox announces that he and the other Mini-Cons will complete repairs to the Alchemor and use it to take the Decepticons back to Cybertron. Windblade and Ratchet intend to accompany them, and Optimus intends to go as well, so he can investigate the new ruling body. After watching the boat leave, Bumblebee tells the rest of the team that it's time to establish a permanent base on Earth, and they all head back to the scrapyard.
Reunited with Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and his team must use everything they’ve learned to stop the annihilation of both Earth and Cybertron.

Synopsis
As the Autobots pick themselves up following Megatronus's arrival, Drift contacts Fixit to find out who the newcomer is and Fixit is able to tell him that Megatronus is one of the original Thirteen Primes. While Optimus Prime faces the new Decepticon, Bumblebee and Drift go to free Windblade, Sideswipe and Strongarm, only to be hit be a deflected blast from Optimus's Prime Decepticon Hunter. Optimus is prevented from going to their aid by Megatronus who attacks him.

Over on the bridge, Denny and Russell pose as filmmakers to try and cover up the giant robot battle, however their attempts to get a police officer to clear the area are hampered when the officer turns out to be a wannabe screenwriter.

Grimlock attempts to attack Megatronus, only to be slung at Drift. Jetstorm and Slipstream prevent Megatronus from moving in on the Autobots long enough for Optimus to get up and resume combat. Though Optimus boasts the power of the Primes, Megatronus says he has been granted power too, and sends Optimus flying into the river. Megatronus moves to pick up a staff, but Windblade manages to break free from her bonds and opens fire on him. Bumblebee runs to attend to Optimus, leaving Drift to free Sideswipe and Strongarm. With Windblade down, Drift and the two freed Autobots attempt to stop Megatronus reaching the staff, only to be seen off with a barrage of firepower and are then attacked by the other Decepticons.

Megatronus picks up the staff and reveals the extent of his plan to Steeljaw: the staff will draw the remanents of the Anti-Spark from Unicron still in Earth's core, then summon the AllSpark from Cybertron. This, Steeljaw realizes, will destroy both planets. As the staff creates a shaft of energy that lances into the sky, the enraged Steeljaw attacks Megatronus but is brushed aside. Not fancying their chances, the other Decepticons flee, only to run into the Autobots. As Sideswipe and Strongarm draw their Decepticon Hunters, their weapons touch and momentarily surge with power. A fight ensues between the two sides. Meanwhile as Bumblebee watches, Optimus's wound closes.

On the bridge, Denny is still having no luck convincing the officer to clear the area.

Optimus awakens and identifies the staff Megatronus is carrying as a spark fuser. Steeljaw continues fighting Megatronus, but is tossed into the distance shortly before Optimus and Bumblebee return to the fight. Megatronus blasts Optimus, sending Bumblebee flying, and the smaller Autobot takes advantage of his momentum to take out Underbite. The rest of the Decepticon team is taken out in short order, leaving only Megatronus and Optimus locked in combat. After turning their Decepticon Hunters into the same forked sword shape as the Prime Decepticon Hunter, Bumblebee, Sideswipe and Strongarm are endowed with new armor. With the combined power of the Hunters, they give Megatronus a brief blast, but Bumblebee has a new plan, and contacts Optimus over the comm. It may be already too late, as the AllSpark appears in the sky and moves down towards Megatronus, however Optimus flings his Decepticon Hunter, destroying the spark fuser. The AllSpark returns to the sky and the Anti-Spark to the ground. Megatronus starts attacking the Autobots furiously.

Denny is still trying to convince the officer to clear everyone from the area when a stray blast destroys the officer's hat. The officer is suddenly very keen for everyone to evacuate.

While Optimus keeps Megatronus busy, Drift, Windblade and Sideswipe head up to the top of the Crown City Colossus and begin hacking. Megatronus finally has the better of Optimus, however Grimlock joins in, and between him, Optimus, and the other Autobots, Megatronus is kept busy until the arm of the immense statue falls on him. Even this doesn't stop him, and he lifts up the enormous arm, however Bumblebee, Sideswipe and Strongarm combine the power of their Decepticon Hunters, unleashing a powerful blast of energy on him. When the smoke clears, there's a crater where Megatronus stood. With the news that emergency crews are on the way, Bumblebee finally manages to nail a rallying cry, and the Autobots rev up and roll out.

Back in the scrapyard, the captured Decepticons are all safely placed in stasis pods. Though Bumblebee says the other Autobots are free to go back to Cybertron, the other Autobots are all in favor of staying. Optimus says he's no longer needed, but Bumblebee insists he stay, and Optimus agrees so long as he's Bumblebee's equal rather than leader.
:Scowl is a Decepticon Dinobot from the Robots in Disguise portion of the Aligned continuity family.

Scowl is a Dinobot gone bad. In a better world, Scowl could have put his prodigious strength and powerful hammer towards constructive ends. Instead, he turned his physical prowess toward random violence and indiscriminate destruction, with an emphasis on collateral damage. Scowl seems to revel in the destruction he causes, hiding his cruelty behind a gregarious façade and layers of self-rationalization. On Cybertron, Scowl worked for the crime boss Thunderhoof as one of his enforcers. Since he's arrived on Earth, however Scowl's chosen to strike out on his own...and strike, and strike, and strike, until all of Crown City is a smoldering heap of rubble.

On Cybertron, Scowl worked for Thunderhoof's crime cabal as hired muscle, tearing down buildings on the land that Thunderhoof had illicitly acquired. At some point, he was arrested and incarcerated by Cybertron's police. Scowl was placed in a stasis pod aboard the prison ship Alchemor, but was freed after the ship crashed on Earth.

After laying low for a time, Scowl discovered a human demolition site, and began eagerly demolishing the abandoned stadium. He was discovered by a fellow Dinobot Grimlock. The two Dinobots bonded with one another over their mutual love of smashing stuff, and Scowl invited Grimlock to help him destroy the building. Grimlock reluctantly agreed — since the stadium was going to be torn down anyway — but then attempted to arrest Scowl. Scowl managed to win Grimlock over and walk away free, promising to Grimlock that he would never endanger a human.

While wandering the forest, Scowl was jumped by the rest of the Autobots, who had researched his extensive list of criminal charges and had decided to bring him in. Scowl incapacitated Bumblebee and the others with a tree, then angrily confronted Grimlock about his apparent betrayal. Although Grimlock tried to reason with him, the Decepticon escaped and headed toward a nearby rail station, hoping to knock down the elevated tracks and derail the approaching passenger train. The two Dinobots battled one another while the other Autobots tried to repair the tracks. Grimlock gained the upper hand, and knocked his foe into the station roof, sending him flying and temporarily taking him out of commission.

Unfortunately, Scowl managed to free himself before the Autobots could cuff him, and ploughed into a local spa, aiming to cause as much mayhem as possible. The Autobots tried to run damage control while maintaining their cover. Scowl took out Drift and his two students, Slipstream, and Jetstorm. He then tried to bring down the ceiling on a group of meditating humans, only to be stopped by Grimlock. The two fought again, until Grimlock had an apparent change of heart, and confessed that Scowl's indiscriminate violence was easier than his own methods... but that didn't make it right. Scowl was finally clobbered by a massive stone ball, and the incapacitated Dinobot was arrested by the Autobots. Similarly Different
Prowl, Bumblebee and Sari get more than they bargained for when they head out to the remote woods to investigate a mysterious energy signal.

Synopsis
Far outside of Detroit, a lone worker monitoring some oddly coloured mining machines hears a strange noise. Alerted, he looks around, but returns to his drink... only to be attacked by something. The construction machines stop their work, and they too get attacked.

Outside Detroit, Prowl, in his alternate mode, looks on at the snow-covered city before a plow comes along and rather rudely covers him in snow. Transforming, he rises from the snow with a sad look on his face.

When Prowl returns to the base, he goes on a rant about Nature's beauty and how humanity destroys it at every turn. Bumblebee and Sari are playing a video game, ignoring his vent. Prowl looks down on Bumblebee and asks if he was listening, where Bumblebee retorts by noting that Prowl is "electrical components" too, nudging his Autobot insignia to activate a hologram of Prowl. Optimus Prime interrupts the friendly banter by noting that there is a strange energy signature coming from the forest, and he sends Prowl and Bumblebee to investigate. Bumblebee is horrified at the idea at venturing into the tech-less wilderness, while Sari uses the opportunity to go camping with the two Autobots.

The three of them head off into the woods, and Bumblebee laments unpaved roads, while Sari is excited, saying that they'll roast marshmallows, tell ghost stories and the like. When they prepare to proceed on foot, it's learned that Bumblebee brought a few entertainment devices... stored in a place that makes him a little ashamed. After finding a suitable camping site, Prowl sits quietly to commune with Nature while Bumblebee searches for an outlet to power his flatscreen TV. As campers, Sari and Bumblebee are miserable failures. They can't pitch a tent or get a fire going, and Sari is forced to admit that she's never been camping before, so Prowl does both within seconds. When Bumblebee commandeers Prowl's holographic imager to watch a movie, the ninja bot smashes Bumblebee's portable media player, much to the yellow bot's horror. Prowl 1, Bumblebee 0.

During the night, the trio is awoken by a crunching noise. Bumblebee cries monster. Prowl says it's a bear, which are hardly monsters. Lo and behold, a monstrous creature covered in purple tentacles and pink eyes does stomp out into the open and attack them. Bumblebee 1, Prowl 1. The creature absorbs Prowl's shurikens and holds its own against Bumblebee's stingers. What's more, Sari's Key glows, indicating that the creature is Cybertronian in origin. Unable to fight it off, the trio retreat.

Losing the creature, Prowl tries to figure out what the creature was, despite Bumblebee's snide comments. They both determine the creature is made up of space barnacles, scourge of space-going vessels everywhere. Normally, barnacles drain power and act like computer viruses, but these barnacles appear to have been mutated by something and made more powerful. They decide to go back and destroy the barnacles, rather than risk the creature reaching Detroit and infecting other machines. Glowing in the direction of the Cybertronian energy, the AllSpark Key leads them to the mine shaft. When they're not looking, the creature drops a snowbank on them from above, sealing 'Bee and Sari inside.

Bumblebee's attempt to put his video game skills to use fails to extract himself and Sari from the cave, but Prowl uses a hologram to fool the creature into smashing the entrance open, allowing Bumblebee to use his stingers to fry the barnacles. However, Prowl's prolonged contact with the creature has infected him and taken over, turning him into a barnacle zombie. 'Bee and Sari make a run for it, but they know they can't go back to the city because the barnacles may spread. They backtrack, hoping to lure Prowl to the mine and seal him inside, but end up sealing themselves inside too.

Now trapped, 'Bee and Sari seal themselves in a furnace room, and Sari hatches a plan to heat up water from a fire hose to scorch the barnacles off Prowl. However, Prowl's touch has infected Bumblebee as well. Sari tries to use the AllSpark Key on the furnace machinery, but it doesn't work (for once). She manages to light the furnace by scratching a spark (not that kind of spark) from the Key instead. The furnace heats the water, and Sari sprays her two friends, boiling off the barnacles. The two Autobots are restored, and the three return to the plant to recount their harrowing tale to Prime.

Back in the woods, Professor Sumdac arrives in a truck and finds the Cybertronian machinery that was formerly coated by the barnacles, machinery that bears the Decepticon insignia. Sumdac comments that he's finally found what he's been looking for for several years, and that Megatron will be pleased with his discovery. What, oh what, could it be?
Bumblebee: At least I can get this junk out of me. I was feeling kinda bloated.<br>
[Electronic devices suddenly fall out of him, Prowl gives him a look]<br>
Bumblebee: What? You said to pack the bare essentials!<br>
Prowl: Since when are surround-sound speakers, a strobe light, and a hand-held media player "bare essentials?"<br>
Bumblebee: You should've seen what I left back at the plant.<br>
Prowl: Where did you even find room for all of this junk?<br>
[Bumblebee taps his fingers uncomfortably]<br>
:—Bumblebee and Prowl's conversation takes a decidedly uncomfortable turn.

"First we must determine this creature's intentions."<br />
[Creature knocks Prowl aside without provocation]<br />
"I'm gonna go with 'hostile'."<br />
:—Prowl and Bumblebee meet the monster.

Bumblebee: Hey! Why don't you pick on someone your own size?!<br />
[Creature swipes at Bumblebee and Sari]<br />
Bumblebee: Okay. Maybe we're a little unclear on the concept of "your own size".<br />
Sari: Maybe you should stop talking logic to a creature that has no head!<br />
:—Bumblebee and Sari debate whether or not to open negotiations with the monster.

"What did I tell you about camping? Monsters. TV is always right."<br />
"So, wait. Monsters are real? Tutor Bot is such a liar!"<br />
:—Bumblebees faith in television is reinforced, while Sari Sumdacs faith in Tutor Bot is shattered.

"Attention, barnacle monster! Come out with your hands over your...well, you don't have a head. But you get the idea."<br />
:—Bumblebee instructs the creature to surrender.

"Look where nature got you: Barnacles! Luckily we can depend on good old Mother Technology. Right, Prowl?"
:—Bumblebee may have spoken too soon.

"Your tire tracks!"<br />
"So I messed up the pretty white woods! You sound just like Prowl!"<br />
"No! We can follow them back to the mine and lure Prowl into it then seal him inside!"<br />
:—Sari and Bumblebee discuss the finer points of screwing with the scenery.

Sari: And then, they were back to normal, like nothing ever happened. Meanwhile, I'm stuck riding home with no dry clothes and an Autobot whose car mode doesn't have a heater!<br />
[Sari sneezes]<br />
Optimus: You showed a lot of courage and ingenuity, Sari. And hopefully, you'll stop...backfiring soon.<br />
Sari: Hel-lo, it's called "sneezing".<br />
[Sari sneezes, then blows her nose]<br />
Bumblebee: I don't even wanna know what that's called.<br />
:—The Autobots discover the concept of the common cold.

Prowl: Surely you don't blame all of nature for a few space barnacles? <br/>
Bumblebee: You don't see my game player turning everyone into zombies, do you?! <br/>
Prowl: Actually...
:— Prowl and Bumblebee have different points of view on nature and video games.

"Megatron will be so surprised!"<br />
:—Isaac Sumdac, cheerfully dooming us all.
Notes
Continuity errors
*When Bumblebee and Sari are playing a video game, Sari says "jump! jump!", and when Prowl shuts the game off, Bumblebee notes that he was on level 230... how this is possible when they play a racing game, nobody knows...
* If space barnacles are killed by heat, how did any survive atmospheric entry?
* Megatron's body clearly has the Decepticon emblem on it, and Isaac Sumdac... doesn't appear to notice, even though he should have noticed the differences between Autobot and Decepticons. Then again, he never noticed Megatron's eyes being red while all the Autobots have blue ones.
*If those space barnacles came from the Autobots ship and latched onto Megatron's body before it hit reentry, what were they doing for the past fifty years?
* The construction worker somehow survived being attacked by the space barnacle.
* What use could Bumblebee (and possibly Sari) have for a strobe light?
* Ratchet, Bulkhead, and Megatron ('s head), while mentioned, make no appearances in this episode.
* Tutor Bot is mentioned, and is in the voice credits for the episode, but does not actually appear.
*...space barnacles?
* Why didn't Sari get scalded by hot water when she soaked Prowl and 'Bee? Maybe it's because she's part robot?
* This episode was adapted in comic book format using screen captures as half of "Transformers Animated Volume 6", with "Headmaster" making up the other half.

Sparkplug was overseeing two construction bots in a mine, being paid by Isaac Sumdac to find something. Only problem was, that something found them...and it had friends. Sparkplug was attacked, and was presumed dead. Nature Calls

Except he got better. While the Autobots were looking for Scrapper and Mixmaster, the Autobot Bumblebee thought that Sparkplug's truck was Mixmaster, and fired several bursts from his stingers, which did nothing to damage the truck. Upon being attacked by another alien lifeform, Sparkplug displayed both calmness and familiarity with modern slang by asking "Dude, why you whaling on my truck?" after Bumblebee's attack. Guess that encounter in the mines wasn't as bad as we thought. Sari, No One's Home

He later was driving an oil tanker en route to, apparently, Sheboygan, Wisconsin when his truck was attacked by the Constructicons. Three's a Crowd
*Sparkplug is clearly a homage to Sparkplug Witwicky, patriarch of the Witwicky family from Generation 1. And he's still wearing that hardhat.
