:The Blastcharge Strika Drones are Autobots from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Boasting incredible strength and firepower, the Blastcharge Strika Drones are a force to be reckoned with! Each Drone shares the physical attributes of their template, the Autobot General Strika, and while hold no individual Sparks of their own, instead rely on a limited artificial intelligence. That said, their intelligence isn't really necessary, as Strika commands her Drones through a prototype Genetronic Translink System originally conceived by the late Wheeljack and his human ally, Chip Chase. This gives Strika an edge in battle, and can send them up against a specific target or whole army with but a single thought.

One Drone in particular however has been granted a Spark of her own. Should Strika's controls be severed, this "Backup Drone" can take command of her forces, though harbors an incredibly low intelligence, and can only give the most basic commands, such as "CHARGE!", "RUN", or "ATTACK!".

The only downside to their efforts would be that the Drones are good at what they do. Perhaps a little too good. For if neither Strika or her Backup Drone are available, then the Drones are programed to continue on with their last given orders to the very end. And if that order happened to be "DESTROY!" with no further clarification, then this could result in a particularly nasty skirmish for both Autobots and Decepticons alike.
At an unspecified point in time (possibly before the Machine Wars), at least nine Drones were assembled, ready and waiting for their general to give them commands.

Shortly before the invasion of Megaplex and his clone army, several Drones were recruited (along with Hauler, Hotlink and Magnificus) to form a unified-yet-uneasy alliance to protect their homeworld. In the weeks that followed, at least one Drone assisted Strika, Obsidian, Sandstorm, Hoist, and Octane in an attempted ambush on Thundercracker and his clones. While they fought valiantly, the Drone was soon destroyed. Nobody seemed to notice.

As part of Obsidian's scheme to lure as many of Megaplex's forces into one location for a hopefully swift victory, five Drones teamed up with the remaining Rainmakers and charged into battle. They appeared to hold their own well this time around, with one Drone grabbing Thundercracker in a stranglehold with a single servo.

That was, until Jhiaxus showed up with a menagerie of reinforcements. As none of the Drones nor their Rainmaker teammates were seen alongside their Generals, it's safe to presume they were either all taken prisoner, or terminated on the spot. Termination
A retool of Generations Warpath featuring the new head used for Strika of the same year's boxset, Blastcharge Strika Drone transforms into a tank. She retains all of the mold's previous gimmicks, including a spring-loaded missile launcher mounted on her right shoulder, rotating turret, 5mm-compatible hands, and rods to hold c joint accessories.

For 2013, fans were given two options to acquire her; the first involved attending the Customization Class on either Wednesday or Thursday, though this was limited to roughly 120. Each figure came unassembled and unpainted, resulting in an average of 4-7 hours spent sanding, polishing, and painting. On the downside, no enamel was available at the class to help seal each figure's paint job, nor was there a guide (beyond one quick hand-painted model) as to where the paints should be applied for anyone who wanted their figure to be as authentic to their original namesake as possible.

A further bonus was available for participants in the Class. Each Drone was given a hollow plastic rod and sticker sheet. Combining the two resulted in a flag she could fly around. Due to budget restrictions, the flag was too thin to carry in robot mode, but could fit in two of the screw holes in vehicle mode. The sheet contained three extra stickers; two with the words "J4C08" and "K8-M", plus one promoting BotCon 2013. A second, more elaborate flag was given away to four randomly-selected Class members over both days through a raffle ticket competition. While recommended by the organizers, this flag is not considered official Hasbro product. The blueprints were later made available for download.

For those who could not attend the Class, a number of unpainted figures were available for purchase throughout the weekend at the Collectors' Club store, minus flag and stickers.

::*More information on Blastcharge at TFU.info

Notes
*Originally, Blastcharge Strika Drone was meant to be an updated version of the Beast Machines Vehicon Blastcharge. Furthermore, they would have retained the Warpath head sculpt as it was felt to be an adequate passing for the original character's design. Somewhere along in production however, there was an unspecified error, resulting in the Strika head being used entirely by accident. This error was never caught until the figures arrived. With less than three weeks until the Convention began, and a whole shipment of mis-headed figures at their doorstep, the organisers had little choice but to go back and quickly rewrite his bio into both a new character and drone army resembling their General.
*While the bio was changed, all of the Blastcharge Strika Drones in the comic retained their Warpath head, as did the instructions to assemble the figure. This led to confusion amongst Class participants, wondering why they were given three screws for the head, as the Strika sculpt only required two.
*In an ironic twist, this resulted in those attending the Wednesday Customization Class to be the first to own the new head sculpt, half a day before registered guests who ordered the ready-made figure could pick her up along with the boxset.
*The name "Blastcharge Strika Drone" stems from the Customization Class manual, and was (for a while) its only official use. Neither packaging, promotional material or the Timelines comic give a name, with the latter simply referring to them as "drones". When made available at the Collectors' Club Online Store, the figure was named "Blastcharge Strika".

They appeared to hold their own well this time around, with one Drone pummelling Thundercracker into a stranglehold.

That was, until Jhiaxus showed up with a menagerie of reinforcements. As none of the Drones were seen alongside their Generals, it's safe to presume they were either all taken prisoner, or terminated on the spot. Termination
* Blastcharge Strika Drone (Customization Class toy, BotCon 2013)
**Accessories: Missile, flagpole and sticker sheet (Customization Class only)
A retool of Generations Warpath featuring the new head used for Strika of the same year's boxset, Blastcharge Strika Drone transforms into a tank.

With less than three weeks until the Convention began, and a whole shipment of mis-headed figures at their doorstep, the organisers had little choice but to go back and quickly rewrite his bio into a new drone army resembling their General.

Overbite is a relentless hunting machine. His name strikes fear into the processors of any seagoing Autobot. Though Overbite loves a good hunt, he's not wholly obsessed with the occupation. He enjoys taking time off, but in his own special way: sinking oil tankers and picking off the drowning humans for sport.

He can combine with his fellow Seacons to form Piranacon and is sometimes known as Jawbreaker.
noteukonly

When Shockwave's Earthbound Decepticons established their new undersea base, Jawbreaker and his Seacon mates were summoned from Cybertron to work on the base's fortifications, as they were uniquely suited for underwater activity. They got more than they bargained for when the super-Decepticon Galvatron came a'calling. In the battle, Seawing and Jawbreaker managed to momentarily stun Galvatron, but in the end even the combined might of Piranacon couldn't beat him. Enemy Action!

Jawbreaker liked his name very much! Unfortunately, Shockwave decided to rename him "Overbite". He got very sad about this and likes to make it clear what his real name is; the other Seacons still think of and call him Jawbreaker. Fight the man, guys! City of Fear!

When bazillionaire Richard Branson had the rusted-together remains of Megatron and Centurion dredged up from the River Thames, Jawbreaker (minus his beast-mode arms and legs!) swam in to bite through the barge-chains. This allowed Blitzwing, Dirge, Ramjet and Thrust to attach their own cables to the pair and haul them away for Shockwave to experiment on. Salvage!

After Shockwave was deposed, the new commander Ratbat kept the Seacons on retainer for another mission. The Seacons were commissioned to hunt down a sunken shipwreck in the water around the Decepticon undersea base, a wreck which supposedly contained two Autobot cassettes with valuable information encoded on them. They successfully obtained the treasure chest containing the cassettes and, despite a brief theft by the Autobot Blaster, managed to recapture the prize and return it to their leader. Club Con! Unfortunately for them, this led to a sequence of events whereby the treacherous Starscream acquired the power of the Underbase for himself. The Autobots and Decepticons of Earth were forced to unite in order to stop him from seizing ultimate power. The Seacons attacked Starscream in unison in the waters around Manhattan, but were destroyed in a single energy discharge. Dark Star

Earthforce
earthforcefiction
Sometime later, Megatron traveled back in time and possessed the body of Seacon leader Snaptrap during the Underbase Saga, in an attempt to save them in the past to bolster his troops in the present. He failed due to the intervention of Prowl, and the Seacons met their fate as before. Flashback!

Classics
noteclassics
After the Seacons were revived following their destruction at the hands of Starscream, Snaptrap rose quickly in the ranks of the Decepticons under Bludgeon's command. As a result, Overbite was named sub-commander of the Seacons, and frequently governed the team in Snaptrap's absence. Transformers Timelines (toyline)#2008

When Bludgeon detected an apparent traitor in his organization, he assembled Snaptrap, Overbite and the Seacons to face the betrayer. Unfortunately, their target was Hun-Grrr, leader of the Terrorcons, and Terrorcons stick together. Literally. As Abominus formed inside the Decepticon armory, Overbite and his men took aim at the giant's weak points, but were unable to break up the combination robot. The Seacons then switched tactics, forming their own giant warrior, Piranacon. Overbite remained separate from his fellows and, after the initial bout of grappling and melee, lept into the fray in his stormsurge cannon mode, blasting Abominus in the face with a foot-wide blast of corrosive fluid.

The enraged behemoth continued fighting back, knocking Piranacon to the floor. Nautilator slipped free from the combination form and joined Overbite behind Abominus. The smaller warriors were beneath Abominus's notice until they concentrated their firepower on his lower leg, bringing him down. As Overbite and Nautilator reconnected with Piranacon, the latter shifted into weapons mode and further disabled Abominus with a blast from his torpedo cannon. One final swipe from Piranacon's coral blade, and Abominus was finished.

Believing the imminent battle with Megatron's Decepticon forces was compromised, Bludgeon summoned the Seacons to his command centre to prep for the attack. Bludgeon was so enthralled with analyzing the attack pattern of Megatron's incoming ships that he failed to notice the Seacons merge once more. The real traitors, they formed Piranacon and obliterated Bludgeon using their mass compression cannon before alerting Megatron's forces that the area was secure. At Fight's End

As the universe was obliterated, Overbite was aboard the Talon which was pulled into an alternate universe. The Talon crashed on prehistoric Earth where the ambient energon radiation required the Seacons to adopt experimental energon-absorbing armor. Shattered Time Overbite was with Megatron when the Decepticon leader activated three new Decepticons from stasis pods. He and the others were blasted by Ultra Magnus after the newcomers failed to terminate the Autobots. Shattered Expectations (BWSG)

The Decepticons pursued the Autobots to a chasm, where they watched Megatron take on Ultra Magnus and be defeated. They climbed to the bottom of the chasm to retrieve their fallen leader and found a giant face hewn into the rock. It cheered Megatron up immensely once they dug him out of the rubble. Shattered Paths
After his defeat at Starscream's hands during the Underbase Saga, Overbite was resurrected and lobotomised by Megatron as part of his zombie army of "Ex-Bots". In 2012, when the Autobots arrived from Cybertron to confront Megatron he ordered Overbite and the other zombies to attack them. In retaliation, Skids called dibs on shooting Overbite. Loose Ends, Part 5
*The instructions for Piranacon mis-parse Overbite's name as "Over Bite".
*In his first appearance in issue 152 of the Marvel UK comics, Overbite is referred to as "Jawbreaker" for reasons not entirely clear. This was repeated in his appearance in issue 160 and a Transformers AtoZ profile in the Transformers Annual 1989. Even though this later spawned an urban legend that the Overbite toy was officially released under the name "Jawbreaker" in some European markets, no substantial evidence has ever surfaced to back up this rumor—rather, all evidence points to Overbite having been released under his US name in Europe as well, including the United Kingdom. Thus, it's more likely that Simon Furman, who wrote the story, simply got a few names mixed up, since the Overbite toy's instructions refer to his weapon as a "Jawbreaker cannon", and his weapon mode for Piranacon is called "Jawbreaker weapon" in the Piranacon assembly instructions. That, or "Jawbreaker" was an early working name for Overbite.
*Grimlock reports that the threat of physical violence from Jawbreaker made Marvel UK use that name.

Paul-Agnew: New page for a character than can raise more questions than the organisers probably intended.

autobot
Blastcharge

We exist to serve.
Fiction
Wings Universe

Termination

Toys
Timelines
* Blastcharge Strika Drone (Customization Class toy, BotCon 2013)
**Accessories: Missile, flagpole and sticker sheet (Customization Class only)
A retool of Generations Warpath featuring the new head used for Strika of the same year's boxset, Blastcharge Strika Drone transforms into a tank.

A second, more elaborate flag was given away to four randomly-selected Class members over both days through raffle tickets. The blueprints were later made available for download.

For those who could not attend the Class, a number of unpainted figures were available for purchase throughout the weekend at the Collectors' Club store, minus flag and stickers.

With less than three weeks until the Convention began, and a whole shipment of mis-headed figures at their doorstep, the organisers had little choice but to go back and quickly rewrite his bio into a new drone army resembling their General.
