The lost sibling of Primus, Atlas is the hidden true form of Earth, a being of immense power capable of going toe-to-toe with any of his planetary brethren. Few know the secret of Earth, but myths and legends on both Earth and Cybertron have alluded to his existence with names such as Terra and Pangaiden.
Fiction
Transformers vs. G.I. Joe
The first known humans to discover the secret of Atlas's existence were a group of Vikings led by Thor FalkenHauser during Earth's medieval era. From there, various other secret societies seem to have risen and fell, passing down the knowledge of a secret "Pit" capable of awakening Atlas in times of great need.

By the modern day, G.I. Joe was the latest organization to inherit the knowledge of Atlas, with its founder Joe Colton kept in a cold sleep and entrusted with the secret. After Primus threatened to consume Earth's sun, the remaining Joes on Earth enacted the "Atlas Protocol", which involved awakening Joe Colton. Colton led the Joes underneath T.H.E. P.I.T., revealing the secret passageway to Atlas. Donning ancient Autobot-styled helmets, the Joes awoke Atlas just in time; transforming into his robot configuration, Atlas sucker-punched Primus squarely in the face, shattering the Dyson sphere surrounding the Sun and ending the threat to the Solar System.

In the aftermath, Atlas apparently went dormant once again, transforming back into Earth. The War Never Ends

Notes
* Anyone who's ever looked at a globe will notice that the landmasses adorning Altas's armor are farcically out of proportion to the real deals. Italy alone being bigger than Africa, Antarctica and Australia. This is due to the lower legs being closer to the "audience" than the rest of Atlas, but it still throws everything off.
* In real life, human beings are subject to "memory errors", which includes memory loss, remembering events that never occurred, or remembering them differently from the way they had actually transpired. They can happen for a myriad of differing reasons, including emotions/stress level during the particular situation, expectations and changes to environment. This sounds much like "information creep" in robotic lifeforms.

*"Information creep" is a term used by Wikipedia to describe the slow feed of information into an article that winds up shifting its perspective and/or readability over time
History
Founded in 1961 by Emile Véron, Majorette originated making model railways and accessories. The company was originally known as "Rail-Route" in 1964, when the first cars came to market. But by 1967, the name was changed to Majorette. The company soon became the largest producer of any French model car manufacturer. They focused on French and European cars, but also represented vehicles of other parts of the world, such as Japan.

By 1982, Majorette USA had been founded in Miami, Florida; however, Majorette models have not been sold in stores stateside since the latter half of the 90s. Majorette was purchased by the french toy company Smoby in 2003; the same company that also purchased Berchet. By 2009, Smoby/ Majorette was purchased by the Simba-Dickie group, after a deal to sell Majorette to French investment firm MI29 fell through.
