Chief of security for Griffin Rock, Chief Charles "Charlie" Burns is a staunch ally of Optimus Prime, and one of the few people on Earth to know the secret of the Cybertronians' presence on their planet. Even Heatwave, leader of the Rescue Force Sigma-17 bot team, takes orders from him, and for good reason: Chief Burns is very, very good at his job. He always keeps his cool, is quick with a plan and improvisation when things go awry, treats everyone with compassion and kindness (though he's no softie when it comes to giving out speeding tickets or arresting lawbreakers), and the city appreciates him for his hard work.

Charlie is the father of four: Kade, Graham, Dani, and Cody. All four of the Burns children (well, three young adults and one child) are members of Griffin Rock's emergency response team, protecting the citizens from fires, floods, disaster, crime, and distressingly frequent runaway malfunctioning science experiments. And Chief Burns takes parenting as seriously as he takes rescue work, if not moreso. He's always ready to offer a kind word or advice to his kids... or any of the Rescue Bots, who he sees as part of his family as well.

Chief Burns is partnered with the police-bot Chase, who deeply respects Charlie's commitment to law enforcement, even if he doesn't quite get the "compassion" part, but the Chief is definitely having a positive effect on the Autobot.
Chief Charlie was a good friend of Optimus Prime. On their arrival on Earth, Optimus took the Rescue Bots to Griffin Rock, where Chief Charlie greeted them. Rescue Bots Roll Out Early one morning at Fire Station Prime, Chief Charlie directed Heatwave to participate in a fire training exercise on the other side of town. After Heatwave left, Chief Charlie's son Cody arrived, eager to be given his own mission. However, Chief Charlie only trusted Cody with washing Sparkplug, the firehouse dog. Though dejected, Cody and Sparkplug were able to alert Chief Charlie to the presence of an electrical fire within Fire Station Prime itself! Trapped on the roof of the burning station, the Burnses struggled to activate the emergency Prime Alert to call for help, until ultimately Cody was able to activate it manually. Heatwave quickly returned, and Chief Charlie's son was surprised to learn that their fire truck was actually a fire-fighting sentient robot! After the fire was extinguished and the group spoke with Optimus Prime via teleconference, Chief Charlie nodded with approval as his son was welcomed as a full member of the team. Prime Alert

When Blades arrived at the station, Chief Charlie introduced him to Cody before sending the team out to deal with a forest fire. The team later returned having successfully completed the mission with Sawyer, and Chief Charlie asked whether either of the other Rescue Bots were hot shots too. Rescue Bots Respond He got his answer when Chase and Boulder arrived with two more new recruits, and Optimus and Chief Charlie were proud that the team was complete. Rapid Rescue
When he was young, Charlie Burns built himself a go-kart. Cody on Patrol He, Doc Greene and Mayor Luskey chased Doctor Morocco out of town when his inventions were deemed unsafe. The Reign of Morocco

As the head of a family of rescue heroes, Burns was entrusted by Optimus Prime with the secret that the new Rescue Bots were actually Autobots. He presented the quartet to the people of Griffin Rock as new hi-tech robots. When they attended a fire at the museum and Heatwave saved Burns and Graham from a falling dinosaur head, Burns covered for the Autobot. That night, the Rescue Bots contacted him, and he discovered that Cody had discovered the secret. After the whole team united to stop a rogue robotic Tyrannosaurus rex, he let Kade, Dani, and Graham in on the truth as well. Family of Heroes

Chief Burns and Chase stopped an out-of-control robo-landscaper while the rest of the team were busy failing to cooperate. He later alerted the rest of the team to the fact that lava was overflowing out of manholes across the town, and together with Chase, made sure the residents were cleared from the area. When the problem was traced to Mount Magma and the rest of the team went to deal with the problem, Chief Burns and Chase patrolled the area around the mountain and cleared out campers. Under Pressure

Chief Burns accompanied Chase as they chased down Doc Greene's out-of-control solar car and stopped it plunging into a ravine. He was with the team again as they responded to a rock fall. Hotshots He was helping Doc Greene inflate balloons with helium prior to the Lobster and Technology Festival when he and the Rescue Bots had to rescue the Doc from a runaway parade balloon. The next day the team was taking part in the parade when it came under attack from flobsters. They quickly swung into action once more, protecting the townsfolk from the flying threat until Doc Greene could mix up a permanent solution. Flobsters on Parade

Burns found himself covering for the Rescue Bots again after a rescue, but told them that saving lives had priority over maintaining cover. He and the family subsequently had to stop Huxley Prescott from inadvertently destroying the island with his SETI dish. The Alien Invasion of Griffin Rock After retrieving a cat from a tree, Burns decided to celebrate Earth Day by having everyone clean up the fire station. The next day, he and the team were faced with several escapees from the zoo, including a lion and some trained lemurs. Walk on the Wild Side

Burns took part in the rescue of Mr. Harrison and was impressed when Cody rebuilt his old go-kart into Rolling Thunder, though he turned down Cody's request to get a bigger engine for it. After Cody tried souping it up with nanites, Burns made him help Boulder replant the trees that had been knocked down in the ensuing chaos. Cody on Patrol Chase and the Chief were blocking traffic from trying to cross a damaged bridge when a man on a motorcycle zoomed past them. On another occasion, Burns supervised the operation to save the bank after a sinkhole opened under it. Four Bots and a Baby

During a heatwave, Burns discovered that Chase didn't have air conditioning. After Cody had the idea to use a weather machine to create snow, Burns joined in with a snow fight, but ended up having to go rescue people when the machine went out of control. Christmas in July Burns, Cody and the Rescue Bots went on the family annual fishing trip on the Darby Ava, something Burns regarded as a way to bond. When they encountered a robotic shark, Burns left his son on the pier while he and the bots tried to find the finned menace. Though Burns had a plan to lead the sub into a cove, it started attacking the Griffin Rock ferry instead, and Burns and Blades had to go to the assistance of the people on board. While they did so, the other Rescue Bots disabled the shark, but when Burns opened the sub, he triggered a self destruct, and Blades had to carry the vessel away before it exploded. Deep Trouble (RB)

On a particularly foggy day, Burns and his team had to deal with the island's technology run amok thanks to a virus in the central mainframe, and also the rogue Trex, which was infected with the same virus. Return of the Dino Bot He continued to educate Chase on compassionate policing. When Doctor Morocco returned to the island with a MorBot, aiming to replace Burns's team, Burns argued against letting Morocco have the chance. He and his team were forced to compete against the MorBot, and eventually lost through the machinations of Morocco. The team was stood done. The Other Doctor Though Burns argued with the mayor and brought evidence that was disregarded, he refused to give up. When there was a fire at the lab, the team was finally called out to attend to it, and Cody and Frankie Greene managed to obtain evidence against Morocco that saw Burns's team reinstated. The Reign of Morocco

The silent alarm at the Hall of Inspiration had Chief Burns and his team attend it, but while Burns and Chase apprehended Evan and Myles, the other three Rescue Bots went missing. Burns interrogated the pair at length as to the nature of the gun they'd used on the Bots without success. After Cody worked out it was the Minimizer, Burns drove him to Griffin Rock dam where the three miniaturized Rescue Bots had ended up. Small Blessings Burns took part in the rescue of Captain Wild. When Cody turned up information about Professor Anna Baranova, Chief Burns decided they'd go and check out the Griffin Rock Triangle, where they found the professor still living in the crashed Midgard. The team helped her to complete her mission, destroying the lab to seal the methane vent that had caused all the ship sinkings. The Griffin Rock Triangle

Wanting to spend some time with his kid, Chief Burns invited Cody along to do a security check on Griffin Crest and left the bots with strict orders not to follow them. After a brief run-in with a bear, the pair continued with their security check, unaware that the bots had been alarmed by Cody's garbled phone call. Later, having been chased up a cliff by the bear, Chief Burns and his son were unable to render any assistance when the bots were immobilized by the EM field, but after the crisis was over, they continued with their camping. Rules and Regulations When a storm hit Griffin Rock, Chief Burns called the whole team out to help secure the town, but Cody and the Rescue Bots were swept out to sea, forcing the family to go out searching for them on the Darby Ava. The Lost Bell

He and the team went to Wayward Island to investigate a meteorite crash, and encountered Bumblebee. After three of the Rescue Bots were stricken with an alien virus, the Burns family returned to the island to get a sample of the meteorite and destroy the rest. Though they ran into problems with the rough seas, they succeeded. Bumblebee to the Rescue (RB) Chief Burns took part in a call-out to deal with a rampaging blob of Squilsh. He was nearly eaten by it when he got his foot caught in a ladder, but it instead got Chase. Burns spent the remainder of the mission trying to contact Chase and coordinating with Cody and Doc Greene as they tried to find a way to stop the Squilsh. You've Been Squilshed

While Charlie Burns and Chase were dealing with some strange events involving disappearing people, Burns picked up a mechanical bug and was teleported to a cavern under Griffin Rock. He set about organizing the townspeople to try and break out of the cave, though in the end they were rescued by the Rescue Bots. Countdown (RB) After the team had a series of call outs during which they encountered ghosts, Cody pointed Chief Burns to the fact that the ghosts were holograms, and he visited the jail to discover that Myles and Evan had escaped. With Doc Greene's help, the Chief set a holographic trap and his team caught the pair in the act of robbing a jewelry story. The Haunting of Griffin Rock

On his birthday, as it appeared that the rest of the team had forgotten, the Chief lied about where he was going so he could pick up a cake from the bakery. When he and Chase later became trapped in the lead mine, the rest of the team didn't know where to look, and the pair were forced to try and make their way out themselves. During a cave-in, Chief was separated from Chase and injured by a falling rock, but luckily the rest of the team turned up in time to save him. Little White Lies When Frankie caused problems for the team by filming them, Chief reminded them they had to pretend to be regular robots, and did his best to keep her out of their way. When she followed them into the cave system when they were looking for the source of some earthquakes, the Chief and the Rescue Bots had to save her from a cave-in. Shake Up

Chief was disapproving of Cody risking his life in an unstable building. When Cody got hold of a repulsor badge and started acting as a superhero, the Chief eventually had to take the badge off him. Cody used the badge again, leading to it overloading and the Chief and the rest of the team had to extract him from an energy bubble. Rescue Boy

Chief Burns attended the first testing of a time machine that Doc Greene had got working. When Cody, Frankie and the kids were transported back in time to 1939, Burns called in Optimus Prime as backup and filled in Greene on the existence of giant alien robots. It's a Bot Time

In an alternate reality caused by an alteration to history, Burns worked as the janitor in the Hall of Inspiration while Griffin Rock was ruled by Morocco. When he encountered the time traveling Rescue Bots, Cody and Frankie, he was initially suspicious of them, but took them home. Filled in on the altered reality, he helped the group return to the time machine so they could set history right. Bot to the Future

While the rest of the team were occupied with the new Mobile Headquarters, Chief Burns and Chase continued to patrol for speeders. They had another chase on their hands when they had to find the Mobile HQ after it was teleported around the island. Road Trip When Luskey used an experimental rapid growth formula on the Sky Forest, sending the vegetation out of control, Burns and his team had to save the citizens of Griffin Rock from it. Sky Forest (episode) A case of the flu prevented Chief Burns from pursuing Evan and Myles, and he spent some time in bed unaware of the adventure Cody was having in the meantime. One for the Ages

Chief Burns, Cody and Chase took a ride on the ferry after Captain Shaw thought he spotted a sea monster. They instead discovered an iceberg that turned out to be the long lost S.S. Isolde, the ship captained by Charlie's grandfather Zachary Burns. To prevent the Sub-Zero Expander it carried from doing any more damage, Chief Burns took part in an attempt to get rid of the device by blowing it up, which was aborted when it turned out Doctor Morocco had claimed the vessel as salvage. The team had to deal with the fallout when the device exploded and froze a five-mile section of ocean. Chief Burns and the other human members of the team were also rescued when their sinking boat was unexpectedly saved by Morocco. Tip of the Iceberg

After rescuing a skier on Mount Griffin, Chief Burns, along with the rest of the team, sought to find a solution to help Blades and Cody, who were trapped in a virtual reality game. He was later relieved when his youngest was unharmed. A Virtual Disaster After finding a cellphone, Chief Burns became mesmerized by it, and began distributing cellphones to the other townsfolk. Under the devices' control, he and his team mined Blossom Vale until Cody and Boulder disabled the island's cell tower, breaking the spell. Spellbound Though Chief Burns refused to let Huxley Prescott involve the team in his reality show, Prescott went to the mayor and got the project approved. It only lasted a little while until Burns found Prescott was manufacturing disasters to spice up the show, and had the whole thing shut down. Prescott's Bots

The team had to face a horde of gremlins, conjured from Kade's nightmares by Doc Greene's Nightmare Imaging Device. Blame the Gremlins When it transpired that the "Magic Meat" that Mayor Luskey had been selling was Fo-Foo, an experimental food with lycanthropic side effects, and the team had to track down Luskey and Graham who were both infected. Feed the Beast

Charles was disgruntled when Woodrow arrived in town in search of aliens, and forbade his younger brother from searching under the island for the proof he was after. When Woodrow went down anyway, and became trapped in a cavern with Cody, the team had to go to their rescue, and Chief Burns let Woodrow in on the secret that the Rescue Bots were aliens. What Lies Below Separated from the others, Chief explored the tunnels they were in, which mostly meant arguing with Woody. Chase managed to keep them safe until they reunited with the rest of the team, and managed to escape underground by blasting themselves out of the top of Mount Magma. What Rises Above

The team was present for the launch of a new space elevator, the Asgard piloted by Graham and Doc Greene. Following an asteroid impact on the elevator, Chief Burns and the team had to deal with debris falling onto the town. They were reunited with the astronauts after the Rescue Bots brought the pair back from space. Space Bots Following an encounter with a mechanical bull, the team tried to send it to the Island of Misfit Tech and ended up tussling with a prototype Scrapmaster. The Island of Misfit Tech

Though Chief Burns started becoming more protective of his family after a series of mishaps, when the mayor introduced a new town computer named Vigil which prevented the rescue team from doing their job, Burns led his team in taking the computer down. He loosened up a bit after that, taking part in a scooter race with his family. The Vigilant Town After appointing Blades mascot of the Lad Pioneer troop, Chief Burns led a Lad Pioneer nature hike. He was permanently locked to Carin, whom he took an immediate fancy to, when the keys to the Buddy Bracelets were destroyed, and had to take her along when the team dealt with a snake infestation. As it turned out, Carin was a police dispatcher, and after the roundup was completed, the pair went for a walk together. Buddy System

Following an earthquake, Chief Burns and Chase investigated a rash of metal objects being mysteriously pulled into the air. The trail led them to Wayward Island, where they discovered a quake sensor was turning a lodestone into a super-magnet. In Search of the Griffin's Nest During a rash of crimes by Evan and Myles, Chief Burns was temporarily without his partner when Chase joined the criminal pair undercover without telling him. The team was forced to deal with emergencies in a low-tech manner when the pair's Tech Wrecker started knocking out technology across the town, but the Chief still apprehended Evan and Myles with the help of his family. Bots and Robbers When the team recovered a lost dog, Chief Burns attempted to track down its owner, though he let Cody keep it in the meantime. Rescue Dog
They also had to tackle Doctor Morocco's weather machine. Chief Burns later discovered that the portrait of Zachary Burns that Morocco had returned was bugged. Changes On Midwinter Morning, Chief Burns and his team were called on to take the mantle of the Rider of Midwinter, delivering loaves of bread to the townsfolk. The Riders of Midwinter When lightning struck the Power Planter, causing it to run wild, the team had their work cut out cleaning up after it, but they were eventually able to lure it into a trap. Movers and Shakers

When Chief left the island to go to a police conference, he for some reason called in Woodrow to help look after things while he was away. Chief Woodrow Chief Burns took part in a hunt for a Cybertronian relic, and had to "fly" Blades on a rescue when Dani's pilot's license expired. Odd Bot Out The rescue team was assigned to complete the rail tunnel to the mainland. After completing that, they wre roped into being on the inaugural journey of the Griffin Rock Express, but ended up having to try to halt the train after it malfunctioned. They were plucked from the crashing train by the Rescue Bots and Frankie. The Griffin Rock Express
After a game of Rescue Ball, the team rescued Mayor Luskey from a predicament on a bridge, only to find the mayor was suffering from amnesia. When the Rescue Bots later started acting oddly, the Burns family discovered that they had somehow been replaced by fakes. The family started searching for their friends and when there was an explosion at the docks, they found the Bots, who had been hoodwinked by Doctor Morocco into thinking the Burns family were criminals. Double Villainy

After the amnesiac Rescue Bots instinctively saved the Burnses from a wave, the Burnses persuaded them to return to the fire house, where the Bots were soon convinced they were all on the same side. As the chain reaction set off by the explosion threatened to sink the island, Chief Burns contacted the Mayor to get everyone to higher ground. The team borrowed some tech from the Greenes, and were able to save Griffin Rock by reinforcing the tunnel system with foam. They also arrested Doctor Morocco, who had wiped the Bots' memories, and the damage was able to be reversed. Rise of the Heroes

Chief and the team went to Wayward Island to investigate a group of dinosaurs Doc Greene had found there, however the dinos promptly chased the team into a tar pit, necessitating a rescue by Optimus Prime. Land Before Prime (episode) When Prime's new dinosaur mode resulted in him going feral, the team fought to stop his rampage through Griffin Rock until Optimus was abducted by big game hunter Quint Quarry. They tracked Quarry back to his island where an adventure ensued and Chief was able to arrest Quarry, though the hunter promptly escaped. Big Game

The team had to contend with four temporary clones of Kades created by Doc Greene's Imaging Device, though the Kades did end up saving the team from a gas leak. Too Many Kades During the ten yearly appearance of the S.S. Phantom Voyager, the rescue team responded to an SOS from the vessel, and the team, bar Chief Burns, disappeared with the ship. Chief Burns continued to work as a rescuer with help from the Greenes, and ten years later was reunited with his family when the Phantom reappeared. He reluctantly let them stay on board to attempt to reverse the time machine in the ship's hold, and they succeeded, averting the prior ten years. Phantom of the Sea

Following a flooding disaster, Chief had to put up with using Blades as a patrol vehicle when Chase and Boulder left on a space mission. Unfinished Business When Vigil returned to the town by hitchhiking on a piece of technology, the supercomputer put much of the town, including Chief Burns, temporarily to sleep. No Place Like Dome After Doc Morocco temporarily escaped the jail, Chief locked him up again with instructions to Barney not to let the prisoner have anything. Unfortunate Barney did not follow instructions, and let Doctor Morocco have an ant farm full of mutant army ants, which he promptly used to escape, leaving Burns and his team to deal with the out-of-control ants. Bugs in the System

After a trip up in the space elevator resulted in the team switching bodies, Chief found himself occupying Doc Greene, and had to cope with a team confused by their new forms. Fortunately they eventually got switched back. Switcheroo After Kade accidentally ingested some scrubmites, Chief and the rest of the team were miniaturized and went into Kade's body in the Bots' ship the Sigma to round them up. Bot-Tastic Voyage When Quarry abducted Professor Baranova and demanded Doc Greene build him dinobots, Chief Burns called in Optimus Prime. Optimus and the Rescue Bots turned themselves over as the dinobots Quarry wanted, and Chief Burns and his family subsequently followed them to the island Quarry was using and arrested him. Quarry's Quarry
Visiting Wayward Island in search of Energon, the team instead found a frozen caveman who turned out to be alive. Though they attempted to help him acclimate to modern life, ultimately they had to return him to the island. Did You See What I Thaw? After giant monsters from a movie were brought into the real world by a new projector, the team had to round them up so that Doc Greene could return them to the movie. The Attack of Humungado The Burns family went to be photographed for Emergency Response Illustrated off-island. On their way back, they were delayed by kelp and jellyfish, but finally returned to the island where they had to help foil Evan and Myles's latest plan to use souvenir Rescue Bots to rob the townsfolk. All Bots Great and Small

When Cody began experiencing repeated time, his foreknowledge allowed the rescue team to prevent a number of disasters and mishaps during the dedication of the town's new clock tower. Time After Time When it was discovered that one of the Burns family ancestors was a pirate, the mayor suspended the whole team. A series of clues led the team to find the treasure and they were able to persuade the mayor to reinstate them. Pirates Ahoy Anticipating upcoming sea rescues, Chief contacted Optimus to ask for help and the team was sent High Tide to train the Rescue Bots. Turning the Tide When historic figure Jules Verne arrived in his time-traveling balloon, Chief Burns and Cody accompanied him on a trip to find his old friend Doctor Morocco, and Chief insisted on arresting Morocco once they found him. Verne later took Morocco with him when he left in his balloon. The Last of Morocco

After Blurr and Salvage were discovered on Wayward Island, Optimus arranged with Chief Burns to have the pair join the team for training. The New Recruits Though Salvage seemed to fit in well, Blurr managed to endanger a Griffin Rock citizen which angered the Chief. Heatwave and Chief later discussed how Blurr was not working out. Rescue Bots Academy (episode) After Blurr stole the Sigma and a solar flare took out the town's power, Chief sent the team on patrol and headed to the lab to consult Doc Greene, only to learn that a rogue satellite was headed for the island. Luckily Blurr saw sense and stopped the satellite. A New Hero

When Servo seemed unable to keep up the pretense of being an ordinary robot following orders, Chief figured the dog would have to be returned to High Tide, but it later turned out that Servo was actually helping people. Four-Legged Hero Chief allowed part of the team to try to guard some endangered woodpeckers Boulder had found, only for the rest of town to get wind of it, forcing the team to go into rescue mode when the sightseers accidentally set fire to Blossom Vale. Endangered Species

When Chase had to work as the dispatcher due to an injury, Chief was forced instead to accompany Dani in Blades instead and the team was sent on several false alarms by Chase. More than Meets the Eye (RB) Chief had to contend with the entire team having to sing when Doc Greene's Tone-O-Tuner went out of control. I Have Heard the Robots Singing

Chief and Chase accompanied Doc Greene into the disused mine to help him find a diamond so he could propose to Baranova. He was also assigned the task of deciding what to go in the new time capsule, to replace the capsule that was being uncovered. After a quantum crystal in the old capsule resulted in the entire island being teleported to the Arctic, Chief and the team got the town's forcefield dome online. Now and Then After coming up with a plan to float the island back to Maine, the team had their work cut out keeping everyone safe and the island in the air. Once they made it back, Chief found that the townsfolk had a better idea of what to put in the time capsule. Today and Forever

Some three years on, Chief was contemplating retirement as he felt the team was fully capable of operating without him. Following an invasion attempt by the Velgrox, the Rescue Bots finally let the townsfolk in on their secret, and Chief realized he was going to have his work cut out for him. New Normal He coordinated a series of meetings among the town's notable citizens in an attempt to make sure that the Rescue Bots' secret didn't spread beyond the island, and with some persuading, the townsfolk voted to keep the secret. Bridge Building

Chief had to talk to the Rescue Bots when they managed to cause a disaster themselves. The team later encountered a new Rescue Bot, Quickshadow, after she arrived through the GroundBridge and mounted a covert rescue. Arrivals The team took part in an operation run by Quickshadow to transport Phodolite through town, with Chief and Chase making sure the side streets were kept clear of danger. When the operation went wrong, they had to improvise a solution. Plus One (RB)

Following a mishap in which the town pool froze over, Chief was persuaded by Cody to take part in Griffin Rock Element Quest and though he quickly got the hang of the game, they discovered it had been invaded by a Morocco virus. Chief successfully defeated the virus by winning the game, and caught it after it escaped into the real world through a 3D printer. Back to Virtual Reality

On discovering that Luskey was trying to interest investors into developing a resort on the island, he tried to talk the mayor out of it, however when it turned out Madeline Pynch was behind the bid, Chief came up with a plan which succeed in chasing the investors off. Vanishing Returns When Evan and Myles discovered the Rescue Bots' secret while trying to steal Quickshadow, the team had to come up with a short film to discredit their footage, and roped the whole town into helping. Ghost in the Machine (RB) The theft of the zoo's lion resulted in the team tracking down and arresting Lord Chumley. Enemy of My Enemy (RB)

Chief found himself officiating a town meeting after Mayor Luskey's re-election campaign had a disastrous start. He granted permission for Chase to run for mayor, however when Chase was actually elected, the team found themselves hampered by his strict adherence to obscure laws, and had to scramble when the island was nearly destroyed as a result. Mayor May Not

After being woken early-morning by Boulder celebrating All Spark Day, the team had to deal with a marine rescue, and then Greene enlarged to giant size by the Minimizer. They later all celebrated All Spark Day with the help of the rest of town. All Spark Day (episode) When the town's communications tower required replacing, the team took on second jobs — Chief attempted to deliver pizzas. The townsfolk later chipped in with enough cash to replace the tower. Part-Time Heroes

Chief and Chase were delayed attending the opening of the new mainland Rescue Bot Training Center when they had to fix Jerry's truck. The pair made it in time for the opening, but then had to leave shortly after to attend to a broken traffic light. The More Things Change... Cut off from the training center after the computer system malfunctioned, Chase, Blades and Chief instead dealt with the problems on Griffin Rock, with Chief having difficulty fixing a broken traffic light. The More Things Stay the Same

During a series of motor races, Chief and his team had to spring into action multiple times to prevent catastrophe. Hot Rod Bot After a video chat with Woodrow was cut off, Chief traveled to Africa with Heatwave, Blades and Dani to investigate and ended up being made leader of a family of gorillas after saving them from baboons. He and Woodrow were able to rescue the gorillas from an erupting volcano, after which Chief passed on leadership to his brother and returned to Griffin Rock. King Burns Chief entered the pizza bake off portion of the Pizza Pi Party, only for it to be cancelled when giant mound of pizza dough threatened the town. Pizza Pi Party

A training session on the mainland was cut short following a reuniting with Bumblebee, when it turned out Blurr and Salvage were not handling things well on Griffin Rock. The human half of the team ended up being stuck on the island when the training center went into lockdown thanks to an invasion by an energon eater. Uninvited Guest When Blades, Graham and Cody uncovered Chickadee's operation to find some lost gems, the rest of the team managed to apprehend her. Chief had to fill in for her during the Lad Pioneer upgrade ceremony. Camp Cody

Investigating some mysteriously falling Spruces resulted in Chase, Boulder, Chief and Graham temporarily getting lost in the woods. Once Upon a Time When the Mini-Con Bounce escaped to Griffin Rock, the team helped Sideswipe recapture him. The Need for Speed

When Madeline Pynch got hold of a chunk of Energon, the rescue team put into action a plan to recover the Energon and arrest Pynch. Heatwave and Chief were dropped into Pynch's compound by Blades, and managed to find Pynch's hoarded tech before she caught them, though they escaped having their memories wiped thanks to switching the tech and ultimately Pynch went to jail Cody's 11 Chief reluctantly let Maven Danger stay at the firehouse, when the mayor gave approval for him to do so as research for an upcoming movie he was making, however it later turned out the visit was a ruse so Danger's agent, Skip Scobble, could attempt to steal a rare book. A Brush with Danger

When Dani's test flight on a solar-sail spaceship ran into peril, Chief and the rest of the team headed up in the Sigma to mount a rescue. To Infinity... And Back Chief's plans of a fishing vacation went on hold after an explosion at a construction site. He let the people from the damaged apartment building stay at the fire house, and when they needed items from the damaged building, personally went back in. A roof collapse saw him taken to hospital, though he wasn't too badly injured, and had the whole town turn out to greet him when he emerged. Family Business

Chief took Cody to Frankie's birthday party, though the pair were caught off guard when it turned out there were people in China who knew about the Rescue Bots. The team headed to a laboratory in China where Scrubbers were running rampant, and managed to stop the rogue technology. Optimus Prime subsequently split up the team, with Chief, Cody, Kade and Heatwave remaining in Griffin Rock with Salvage and Servo. When the Morocco virus resurfaced, they were unable to prevent him from stealing tech from the lab. Upgrades Morocco set his sights on abducting Cody, and though Chief and the others tried their best to keep him and his army of Scrubbers at bay, Morocco succeeded, albeit briefly. Afterwards, Optimus gave the team new assignments, though Chief asked everyone to come back via GroundBridge each week for Sunday dinner. Transformations
When a car was on the verge of falling from a crumbling bridge in Griffin Rock, Cody attempted to call Charlie for help, but could not reach him. Fortunately, the Rescue Bot trainees managed to rescue the occupants on their own. Glitch (episode) When Heatwave decided to take the trainees on a field trip to the museum in Milford, he asked Charlie to call ahead and ask the staff to all take the night off, including security, so the bots could explore without being exposed. Fright at the Museum
Optimus Prime and Bumblebee fought in a tag battle against Megatron. He shot Megatron and disintegrated him into a pile of tiny bricks. However, Megatron quickly rebuilt himself and tagged in his partner, Starscream. Last Bot Standing Optimus later took part in some sort of robot dance competition. Bot Stars

After winning a race, Optimus Prime set up a deck chair near the finish line so he could drink through a straw and brandish the winner's trophy at the other competitors as they finished. His first victim was Bumblebee. The Big Race During the holiday season, Optimus and Sideswipe disguised Bumblebee as a present and added him to Megatron's pile of gifts so Bumblebee could surprise Megatron.
Optimus took part in a game of soccer against Airachnid and the Constructicons. Ultimate Defender He and Bumblebee were stuck in detention by Dr. Mayhem. The pair switched to their transparent forms in an attempt to escape, but were caught. They were only freed when Spock had Mayhem transported to an alien planet. Detention Escape

Optimus led the Autobots in a giant battle against the Decepticons. Bumblebee got blown to pieces during the fight, prompting Optimus to promise he would avenge him... despite Bumblebee insisting he was okay. After taking out his fare share of Decepticons, Optimus noticed the audience. He took a break from the fighting to recap the feature film adventures of the Transformers, and introduced the Dinobots. Grimlock was accompanied to the arcade by Optimus, who acted as a "backseat gamer" while Grimlock tried to beat a particularly difficult game. Optimus and Bumblebee came upon a battleground with their respective Mini Kreons in tow. Optimus combined with his Mini Kreons, and charged in. Optimus Prime had the Autobots leave Cybertron in the Ark in search for energy blocks to alleviate their hunger. Thanks to the boarding of the Ark by Decepticons, the Ark crashed and the Transformers fell into a four million year-long sleep. They woke up to a world filled with blocks. Kreon Story When Megatron attempted to steal all of the blocks of Earth with his Mega-Megatron creation, Optimus Prime led the Autobots into stopped the menace by building a jail for Mega-Megatron.
After sending Bumblebee out shopping, Optimus was shocked when he came back with the massive Mega-Bumblebee and asked if he could keep him. After Optimus refused, Bumblebee brought out a dog, which Optimus accepted. Bumblebee! The Gentle-Hearted Autobot Warrior After beating up Megatron, Optimus received a call from his rival, asking him to attack his base and chase away Vortex. After the successful attack, Optimus joined Megatron's gathering in the base. A Reliable Warrior!? Vortex the Lookout from Hell

Optimus was the first to test out Wheeljack's newest invention, Skeletron! The substance gave Optimus what Wheeljack dubbed "See-Through Power." Though Optimus was embarrassed by his transparent chassis, he nonetheless put his increased strength to good use by pounding Megatron. After fleeing to his base, Megatron returned with his own "See-Through Power;" he was now dressed in a woman's pink see-through negligee... Seeing his foe's new look, Optimus was relieved that he was no longer the most embarrassingly "dressed" warrior on the battlefield. Wheeljack's Bizarre Invention! Optimus Power Up!?

Optimus drove his truck like a maniac through the city streets, running over many of the most powerful Decepticons in the process, before transforming his vehicle into the "Mega Optimus Prime" robot to take down Megatron's own "Mega-Megatron" robot. With all obstacles taken care of, Optimus then rushed... to the washroom, since he had really needed to go! His business done with, he wondered what to do with all the defeated Decepticons strewn about. Optimus settled on tying them up and bringing them to a picnic the Autobots were having. Emergency! Hurry to the Base, Optimus!

Optimus was pleased with the progress the Autobots were making on constructing their new base, Scramble City, when a group of construction vehicles volunteered themselves to help. Optimus thanked and welcomed them, only for the vehicles to transform into the Constructicons and start mucking up the place! The Decepticon team then combined into Devastator to inflict even more damage on the Autobots' project. Though his Autobots began to panic, Optimus assured them that since their foe was so big, he certainly had a very big weakness as well. Optimus was right; it turned out that Devastator had very ticklish feet! The Autobots were able to thwart Devastator by sending him into a giggle-fit, and resumed construction on Scramble City. A New Menace! The Giant Soldier Devastator Appears!

Megatron next attacked the construction site with the Predacons, who were so adorable that Optimus Prime just couldn't bring himself to fight back. Their combined form, Predaking, was another matter entirely though, and Prime's forces were quick to break the combiner apart into his cute animal parts. Behemoth Combination! But They're Cute? The Predacon Unit

The Autobots finally finished building their base, and celebrated its completion when the Decepticons attacked once more. Megatron and his troops quickly managed to take control of the base, gave it a new coat of paint, and rechristened the transforming city Metrotitan! But as soon as it assumed its robot mode, it began falling apart... Optimus admitted to Megatron that the Autobots had gotten the munchies throughout construction, and had eaten a block here and there, resulting in flimsy construction. Megatron was devastated, but the Autobots rebuilt the whole thing in short order, even including a room for Megatron for him to stay over! Megatron later came over to Optimus's room (next to his own!) to challenge the Autobot leader to battle! The pair wound up playing "Old Maid" instead. Two Giant Bases! Everybody Getting Along, Come On, Fight!

One day, Optimus Prime woke up to find his body and Mega-Optimus blocks had been stolen by the Decepticons, who'd used them to build C-X and the Alligaticon! Using the ability to telepathically take control of the blocks, Optimus reconstituted himself and sent the Decepticons packing, only to realize he was partially still an alligator. {{storylink|Negligence Is the Greatest Enemy! When Inferno was feeling guilty over causing Red Alert to get hurt, Optimus Prime reassured him that everyone makes mistakes and dwelling on the matter wouldn't make Red Alert any happier. After they two had settled their differences, Optimus reflected that forgiving each other to strengthen your bonds is what Autobots are good at. {{storylink|Dive Into the Fire!
: Intended to be exclusive to 2011, this redeco of the regular Optimus Prime Kreon has an open chest showing the Matrix of Leadership within. He came in a very wide box —which completely lacks any identifying name for the Kreon within, thus the quotes around the name for this listing— with a catalog for the upcoming Kre-O line, plus a plain black 2x4 brick to stand on.

: We say "intended to be", because in actuality, the thing appears to have been produced in such huge quantities that it's wound up being made available in loads of other places; it was handed out at San Diego Comic-Con 2011, offered as a free giveaway with any order that included Transformers toys on Hasbro Toy Shop, as a free gift on the cover of the Awesome Autobots Activity Book, and came as a free gift attached to, of all things, issue #240 of the UK children's comic Doctor Who Adventures (but not the UK's Transformers comic, oddly enough!).

: Naturally, Optimus Prime got the biggest of the sets in the first year of Kre-O. The set can be built into a large long-nose tractor-trailer rig with a removable "sleeper" cab that hides a computer station, and a trailer that can carry the set's two motorcycles or open up to carry larger car builds. The robot mode build includes a huge Optimus, based largely on the live-action movie Optimus, though with a head based almost directly on the Classics Voyager Optimus. He is armed with a distressingly plain brick that fires pressure-launched missiles (aka his smokestacks). Most of the leftover parts in robot mode become a "headquarters" which is mostly just a random assemblage of mismatched-color panels and a pair of barricades. Both main builds leave numerous parts unused if you go expressly by the instructions, but hey, it's a building kit, surely you can find someplace to apply most of them.

: The set comes with a bevy of Kreons, including Optimus Prime (this one based heavily on Generation 1 Optimus), Bluestreak, Skywarp, and a pair of human Stunt Drivers. A packaging error resulted in some releases of this set to come with the promotional "Matrix chest" Optimus (see above) rather than the normal version pictured here.

:Speaking of errors, the instruction manuals (he has two) both have errors in their parts listings, showing numerous pieces in the wrong colors or not making it clear that some parts are, well, clear. Making things more confusing, not all of these miscolors are reflected in the step-by-step instructions, while a couple new ones are added there.
The robot mode is heavily restricted in its articulation, with no knees, and only single-direction-swivel elbows and shoulders.
The larger Prime build is a smaller, simpler build than the first-year set, and is armed with a spring-loaded missile launcher brick. The truck mode build has an opening cab-front to reveal his engine. Just like before, both of these builds leave out several parts that must be just set aside... like how the truck build does not use a single one of the large ball-and-socket-joint-blocks that make up the bulk of the robot build's limbs.

: The Optimus Kreon's tampographs are based directly on the Prime cartoon model, though he carries an energon axe akin to the one from the War for Cybertron games. He also has a clear-blue extra "energon" torso piece. This piece was apparently intended to feature the Optimus tampographs at some point, but like all of the extra torsos in this year's assortment, it's been been left unimpressively blank.

: Part of the first assortment of "Custom Kreons", this version of Optimus Prime comes with a buildable parts rack on which to hang/store his many many extra pieces. His tampographs are much more heavily-detailed than the original Kreons, based on the original Optimus Prime toy. His "normal" helmet (and small sword) are chromed, plus he comes with an extra clear-plastic helmet, torso and legs. : This version of Optimus, voted "Most Likely To Succeed" by the Kreon Class of 1984, lays heavy on the toy-based tampographs (though they are completely different from the other iterations), and like the others in the set, has a more animation-model-inspired face deco, what with having a nose and all.

:He was only available in a pack of 30 Kreons dubbed "Class of 1984". This set was made for sale at San Diego Comic-Con 2014. Thankfully for the rest of the world, these Kreons are all basically identical to previously-released ones in the Hasbro lines.
:Released exclusively at Toy Fair 2015, the polybagged Winter Optimus Prime is a ski-themed Optimus Kreon. His body tampographs depict human ski apparel over his traditional appearance. He includes two skis but no ski poles. He uses the new retooled Optimus helmet that has no mouthplate.

:Promotional artwork for this Kreon shows him with ski poles, made up of the "pole" pieces with peg-in shuriken on one end. So, if you got spares of those parts, well, there you go.

:Available only to the Underbite Jetpack Takedown set, this Optimus Prime Kreon uses the new 2015 style of Kreon hips and torso, with a hollow hip-peg and a central post inside the torso for increased grip... which also makes them incompatible with about four years' worth of Kreons, and he's based on his appearance in the new Robots in Disguise series. This Prime Kreon has a darker shade on his blue deco. He also features a 2x2 backpack peg piece, which is compatible for the included jetpack, to fight against the larger (or smaller Kreon of) Underbite and Ped.
**Accessories: Rack, Bazooka, Dual pick-axe

:Part of the sixth wave of Custom Kreons, and the first (and only) Robots in Disguise-themed wave, Optimus Prime uses the new 2015 Kreon construction with the hollow waist-peg and "raised" hands.. He comes with a buildable parts rack on which to hang/store his extra pieces. Unlike the previous Custom Kreons, he no longer features a chromed helmet, and comes with an extra clear-plastic helmet, torso, legs, and his arms, plus a chromed Bazooka (originally from the Kre-O Battleship sets), and some kind of a dual pick-axe with a clear red staff.

:Despite what the instructions said, the body piece cannot be pegged down between the leg parts installed on the display stand. However this can be amended by putting a 2x1 brick piece.

:For some reason: unlike the stock photos, The Optimus Prime Custom Kreon had a slight QC issue to the opaque and transparent helmets: One had two sides sculpted, while the other one has the small flat square sculpt (similar to the details on Hound's helmet) on the right side. Depending on the individual sample, one of them has the perfect transparent helmet & a differently-sculpted opaque helmet, while the other sample has the opposite. However: later releases fixes the problem by a running change.
He also has different windshield decals, and his reds and blues are slightly darker. :Mini-Con Combiner Optimus Prime comes with one standard Kreon and four Cityville mini Kreons of the same character, each one a different incarnation from various franchises. With some extra parts, the mini-Kreons become limbs to make a larger combiner-bot. The Optimus Prime Mini-Cons were based on Armada Optimus, pre-Earth Armada Optimus, live-action film Optimus, and one, oddly enough, based on Generation 1 Micromaster Overload. The four mini Kreons used the Ironhide helmet, Sentinel Prime helmet, Knock Out helmet, and Soundwave helmet. The normal-sized Prime Kreon probably uses the 2015-style Kreon construction.

Optimus, Bumblebee and Wheeljack were acting as security at the Autobot City Bank when Spinister, Galvatron and Scorponok attempted to rob it. When the Decepticons called in Devastator, the Autobots similarly called for backup, but were victims of Devastator's wrecking ball before anyone else turned up. Quest for Energon, Part 1 When Prime and Bumblebee caught up with Megatron, he was using the stolen energon to make a grilled cheese sandwich.
Optimus took part in a game of soccer against Airachnid and the Constructicons. Ultimate Defender He and Bumblebee were stuck in detention by Dr. Mayhem. The pair switched to their transparent forms in an attempt to escape, but were caught.
Optimus, under the guise of a simple hibachi chef, was forced to fight Megatron at his place of work. Hibachi Chef
Grimlock was accompanied to the arcade by Optimus, who acted as a "backseat gamer" while Grimlock tried to beat a particularly difficult game. Grimlock gave up out of frustration, only for Fracture to come along and beat the game with ease. Optimus fled the scene as Grimlock lost his cool and begun to rampage across the arcade. Arcade

Optimus and Bumblebee came upon a battleground with their respective Mini Kreons in tow. Optimus combined with his Mini Kreons, and charged in. Unfortunately, despite his need for back-up, Bumblebee never joined him. As he stumbled back, injured from the fight, and asking where Bumblebee was when he needed him, he spotted his subordinate stuck in the branches of a nearby tree, along with all his Mini Kreons. The tree then collapsed onto Optimus, and Megatron declared himself victorious over the Autobots. Stuck in a Tree
Kre-O online comic
Optimus Prime had the Autobots leave Cybertron in the Ark in search for energy blocks to alleviate their hunger. Thanks to the boarding of the Ark by Decepticons, the Ark crashed and the Transformers fell into a four million year-long sleep. They woke up to a world filled with blocks. Kreon Story When Megatron attempted to steal all of the blocks of Earth with his Mega-Megatron creation, Optimus Prime led the Autobots into stopped the menace by building a jail for Mega-Megatron. However, while taking thanks from the human Kreons, Optimus Prime took a tumble off the jail! Defend the Blocks! Autobots, Dispatch!

Negligence Is the Greatest Enemy! The Solar Tower Is Built! When Megatron was turned into Galvatron, the other Decepticons were too scared to stop him and called up Optimus and Rodimus, who reverted Galvatron to normal by removing his helmet.

Optimus Prime was grateful to First Aid for retrieving Metroplex's transformation cog, but also confused that he was treating the injuries of his enemies, the Combaticons. Bad at Fighting? Rescue Team Protectobots, Dispatch! At one point, Optimus Prime defeated Megatron in battle only to be approached by Airachnid, who buttered him up and offered to join the Autobots. Embarrassed by her intimate advance, Optimus was too distracted to notice Megatron recovering and ended up blasted in the behind. {{storylink|The Beautiful Flower Has Thorns?
When Inferno was feeling guilty over causing Red Alert to get hurt, Optimus Prime reassured him that everyone makes mistakes and dwelling on the matter wouldn't make Red Alert any happier. After they two had settled their differences, Optimus reflected that forgiving each other to strengthen your bonds is what Autobots are good at. Dive Into the Fire! The Rescue Operation of Friendship Through a space bridge accident, Optimus Prime and his comrades ended up on a world of giants where he found a toy version of himself! After explaining the existence of Kreons to a human boy, he was attacked by the Decepticons only to convince Megatron that it was in his best interest that they return home. Before going back into space on a rocket, he assured the boy they would surely meet again. Robots in Disguise! The Transformers Are by Your Side!?

At some point, Optimus Prime was present at Metroplex when Devastator, Predaking, and Bruticus all attacked. Optimus then met up with Sentinel Prime, and the two of them working in conjunction were able to rescue Bumblebee. Later, the Autobots managed to infiltrate the Decepticon base. * Optimus Prime was part of an epic battle in a desert against the Decepticons. He managed to smash one of Megatron's arms, but the Decepticon leader simply rebuilt it from the scattered Kre-O bricks. The battle continued, with Optimus, Bumblebee and Ratchet dodging missiles and landing a few good hits of their own. Commercial#Kre-O He also rode atop of Bumblebee's vehicle mode in order to snag Starscream out of the air. Commercial#Kre-O
Optimus's Kreon the stuffed Megatron's Kreon into a jail cell. Commercial#Kre-O

: The smaller of the two Optimus Prime kits in year one, this version is based more on the original Optimus Prime. The small cabover-style tractor-trailer truck build is solid, unable to seat any Kreons inside. The robot mode is heavily restricted in its articulation, with no knees, and only single-direction-swivel elbows and shoulders.

:This is one of the few Kre-O Transformers sets to not come with any Kreons whatsoever, the other being the similarly-sized Bumblebee kit.

: This set also comes with a Megatron tank/robot build, a miniature bank playset with opening/breakaway vault to hold the set's "ultimate Dark Energon weapon" piece (though it also contains stickers that can make the bank into a museum), and Kreons of Prime-styled Megatron, a human Security Officer and evil human Tank Driver.

He also has a pair of extra arms (originally from the Kre-O Battleship aliens), plus a buildable large rifle, a buildable wing-pack, and a ray pistol (originally an Andorian blaster from Kre-O Star Trek).

:In late 2014, twelve Kreons were sold through TakaraTomy's "TakaraTomy A.R.T.S" Gacha capsule-toy machines in Japan. Thankfully for the rest of the world, these Kreons are all basically identical to previously-released ones in the Hasbro lines. The Gacha release of Optimus Prime is basically the base Custom Kreon Optimus using his clear-plastic helmet and carrying the small ray pistol, lacking his leg-wheels, smokestacks and backpack (and of course all those other parts and accessories).

:Available for the Toys"R"Us exclusive Blu-Ray + DVD release of the Transformers: Age of Extinction, this Optimus Prime Kreon is based on the "knight armor" version of Optimus from late in the movie.
*Underbite Jetpack Takedown (2015)
**Set Number: B0950
**Kreons: Optimus Prime, Underbite, Ped
**Pieces: 189
**Accessories: Ray pistol, Jetpack, 2 missiles

:The set was first released in Taiwan and Singapore from January 2015, and later in Canada from May 2015.
**Accessories: Optimus rifle
:Available only to the Optimus Prime Beast Blaster set, this Optimus Prime Kreon also uses the new 2015 Kreon construction, and reuses the traditional Optimus' helmet and rifle, and lacking a pair of wheels for his legs. He also comes with a buildable vehicle mode of himself, which is big enough to ram against, or fire a huge missile (which is triggered from his front bumper) to Fracture (and his vehicle build) and his Mini-Cons Airazor and Divebomb.
*Optimus Prime (Custom Kreon, 2015)
**Set Number: B1233
**Pieces:27

:Part of the new Battle Changers line, Battle Changers Optimus Prime transforms from truck into a robot and back without removing any parts! Like all of the Battle Changers, Optimus uses the new hip piece using larger balljoints, as previously used by the Galvatron Kreon from the Galvatron Factory Battle set.

:Like the rest of the Battle Changers, he is available in selected Asian countries since December 2014.

:Available in a two pack set with Battle Changer Megatron, this Optimus is largely the same as as the single release, with some minor differences. He uses a new "double harness" piece on his torso instead of using two harnesses, leaving more space for his head to grip the neck-post. He also has different windshield decals, and his reds and blues are slightly darker. And, most obviously, he has an additional buildable trailer, though it doesn't really attach to the truck mode in any meaningful way.
Mini-Con Combiners
*Optimus Prime (Mini-Con Combiners, unreleased)
**Accessories: 4 small weapons, 1 Bazooka/Gun

:Unfortunately, like the Battle Changer Triple Changers, these items apparently never saw release anywhere.

:Part of the first assortment of Kreon Warriors, Samurai Optimus Prime is a feudal-Japan-themed take on the Autobot leader. Like all 2015-and-beyond Kreons, he uses the new-tooling body, leaving everything from the neck down incompatible with prior Kreon parts.

:Unfortunately, the Kreon Warriors all came in bags that completely lack any way to identify the contents, forcing buyers to use the "feel through the bag" method to determine what's inside.
