Skywarp was a member of the Cybertronian [[High Guard]]. Upon bearing witness to [[Sentinel Prime (One)|Sentinel Prime]]'s betrayal of the Primes, he and the rest of the High Guard resolved to hide away from the rest of Cybertronian society and delegate resources towards sabotaging Sentinel's rule.

Skywarp stood in attendance as Starscream interrogated [[Optimus Prime (One)|a]] [[Megatron (One)|quartet]] [[Bumblebee (One)|of]] [[Elita-1 (One)|trespassers]]. He bore witness to a duel between D-16 and his leader Starscream in which D-16 was victorious in. Shortly afterwards, a swarm of [[Tracker|Death Tracker]]s led by [[Airachnid (One)|Airachnid]] descended upon them. Skywarp fought bravely against them and managed to avoid being captured himself, but could not prevent the numerically superior enemy from carrying off many prisoners including Starscream, D-16, and B-127. Following the battle, Orion Pax and Elita would ally with the High Guard (mostly through Elita's intimidation). Orion would quietly gave the order to [[roll out]] only for nobody to hear him, namely Skywarp, leading to Orion repeating himself much more audibly.

Skywarp took part in the assault on Sentinel's tower. He watched and cheered as Megatron tore Sentinel in half and participated in the destruction of [[Iacon (polity)|Iacon]], only to be interrupted by a returned Orion - now rechristened Optimus Prime. After Megatron's defeat at the hands of Optimus, Skywarp and his fellow High Guard officers chose to follow Megatron and retreat after Optimus exiled Megatron and all his followers from Iacon.

In their exile, the group was rechristened the [[Decepticon]]s, and the faction's [[insignia]], based on the face of [[The Fallen|Megatronus Prime]], was branded onto Skywarp's wings. Flanking Starscream alongside [[Shockwave (One)|Shockwave]], Soundwave stood in attendance as Starscream interrogated [[Optimus Prime (One)|a]] [[Megatron (One)|quartet]] [[Bumblebee (One)|of]] [[Elita-1 (One)|trespassers]]. He scanned the electrical impulses of [[Optimus Prime (One)|Orion Pax]]'s brain and informed Starscream that Orion was speaking the truth, but Starscream rebuked him and claimed it only meant Orion believed what he was saying. He then received a complaint from Shockwave that they should have applied a stronger gag when [[Bumblebee (One)|B-127]] managed to get it off his mouth, though he did not respond. When things went sour and a fight broke out between Starscream and [[Megatron (One)|D-16]], Soundwave silently stopped Shockwave from intervening with a single gesture.

Though the duel ended with D-16 victorious and Starscream's life spared, that was when a swarm of [[Death Tracker]]s led by [[Airachnid (One)|Airachnid]] descended upon them. Soundwave fought bravely against them and managed to avoid being captured himself, but could not prevent the numerically superior enemy from carrying off many prisoners including Starscream, D-16, and B-127. :Part of Blokees' 7th entry for their Galaxy Version blindbox kits, this Soundwave is a roughly 4-inch-tall, highly-articulated, and non-transforming snap-on model kit of the High Guard's Supreme Guardian. He is built on a "Standard Body" skeleton shared with other Blokees figures in the line, but with different body pieces to make them distinct. As advertised in the box, Soundwave has a pull rate of 1 in every 9 boxes, or three times across four cases. In addition to the usual 2 pairs of hands, Soundwave also features a ball-jointed waist similar to his wave mates, and he also uses the underslung peghole forearms from the 5th wave.

:If you're a speed builder, be mindful when attaching the pre-assembled joints; Unlike the symmetrical joints from earlier waves, the pegs on both ends of these joints are designed to connect to specific pieces; The tabs with slightly smaller holes are intended for the upper arms and thighs, while the regular tabs are meant for the forearms and lower legs. Swindle and Hardtop traveled to a trainyard in [[Witwicky (town)|Witwicky]] on a hot tip, eager to score some unguarded [[energon]]. However, the hot tip turned out to be a hot trap, set up by [[Elita-1 (ES)|Elita-1]], and the pair ended up facing both her and [[Optimus Prime (ES)|Optimus Prime]]. Elita alone proved to be more than a match for both Decepticons, boxing them both into an arena of fallen train cars, a perfect setup for Optimus to hurl a boxcar at them. Swindle was pushed out of the way by is brother who took the brunt, allowing the con-man scape.{{storylink|Secret Legacy, Part 1}}

Swindle continued to look for his brother, attacking [[G.H.O.S.T.]] trucks and installations to steal gear and info in the hopes of locating Hardtop. Spotting easy suckers in [[Thrash (ES)|Thrash]] and [[Mo Malto]], he was able to quickly convince them he was really a good guy just out looking for his missing brother... and while the latter half of that was true, the first part definitely wasn't. He used them to try and steal equipment from a G.H.O.S.T. truck, with Mo able to get through the Transformer-proof energon force field, though he had to drop the ruse and threaten their lives to get her to do so. The timely arrival of Dot and [[Bumblebee (ES)|Bumblebee]] foiled his plans, and Swindle had to run off empty-handed. {{storylink|House Rules}}
