==Synopsis==
[[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] has been restored, and [[Optimus Prime (WFC)|Optimus Prime]] gives a speech honoring those not still with them who helped make it possible. However even as he does so, back on [[Earth]] at the bottom of the ocean, [[Megatron (WFC)|Megatron]] is awoken by [[Unicron]]. Megatron is confused as to why his [[spark]] not one with the [[AllSpark]], but Unicron explains that Megatron's [[Dark Energon]] use has made that impossible. Requiring a new vessel with which to carry out his plans, Unicron reformats Megatron's body into a more powerful form, takes possession of it and heads into the sky. Meanwhile, Optimus holds a short ceremony to promote [[Bumblebee (WFC)|Bumblebee]] to warrior, before announcing that he and [[Wheeljack (Prime)|Wheeljack]] are going to go and retrieve the physical AllSpark from where it was hidden during the [[Great War (Prime)|Great War]].

Streaking through space, Megatron believes Unicron intends to become ruler of Cybertron, but Unicron reveals that he instead intends to destroy Primus, which will spell the end for that planet, and soon all of the universe.

As [[Bulkhead (Prime)|Bulkhead]] finds construction with [[Vehicon (Prime)|Vehicons]] a troublesome task, [[Arcee (WFC)|Arcee]] reports they've had no luck finding [[Starscream (WFC)|Starscream]] and [[Shockwave (WFC)|Shockwave]]. [[Knock Out (Prime)|Knock Out]], incarcerated on the [[Trypticon (WFC)|warship]], attempts to persuade the Bumblebee he's on their side by providing him with information on where they might locate the fugitive Decepticons. [[Ultra Magnus (WFC)|Ultra Magnus]] and [[Smokescreen (Prime)|Smokescreen]] patrol the [[Rust Sea|Sea of Rust]], now restored to a city, and run into an unpleasant surprise—the [[Predacon (Prime)|Predacons]] [[Darksteel (Prime)|Darksteel]] and [[Skylynx]]. The two Autobots are no match for the new clones, and Magnus is severely injured before Smokescreen manages to use the [[phase shifter]] to make their escape. [[Ratchet (WFC)|Ratchet]] is called to Cybertron to tend to Magnus, while the other Autobots try to decide on their next step.

Across space, Optimus and Wheeljack track the AllSpark to [[Theta Scorpii]]. Not wanting to risk losing [[Ultra Magnus's ship]] in the hazardous conditions there, Optimus continues on alone.

Utilizing Bumblebee's tracking skills, the Autobots find [[Predaking (Prime)|Predaking]], who has located a Predacon burial ground uncovered by the restoration of Cybertron. Bumblebee attempts to persuade Predaking that there can be a truce, but Predaking refuses to forget the Autobots' role in the destruction of his brethren. The Autobots instead head for Megatron's old fortress of [[Darkmount (Cybertron)|Darkmount]], which Knock Out has informed them may contain a map showing the location of Shockwave's laboratories.

Shockwave's current lab is in the ruins of [[Six Lasers Over Cybertron]]. Starscream arrives with another recovered Predacon bone, shortly before Darksteel and Skylynx return, laughing about their recent scrap. Starscream is furious to learn they've wandered off and revealed themselves to the Autobots, ruining their one major advantage, the element of surprise.

Over at Theta Scorpii, Optimus finally sights the AllSpark's container, but there's also an incoming [[plasma storm]], and he has to rush to retrieve their target before it can close in.

As the Autobots are checking out the Darkmount computer, they're interrupted by the arrival of Unicron, who makes it aggressively clear to both Autobot and Megatron alike who's in control of the Decepticon leader's form. The Autobots are no match for the dark god, so they attempt to scram. They're brought to a halt by a [[Smelting pool|smelting pit]], and a blast from Unicron leaves Bulkhead, Arcee and Smokescreen dangling over certain doom. Bumblebee manages to keep Unicron occupied long enough for Ratchet to provide a means of escape via [[GroundBridge]].

Meanwhile, Optimus has retrieved the AllSpark and made it back to the ship mere seconds before the plasma storm, and the Autobots book it out of there, though an asteroid thrown by the chaos collides with the ship. Back on the warship, Bumblebee attempts to contact Optimus, but the damage Magnus's ship sustained means though his message gets through, Optimus can't respond. The Autobots quickly realize that Unicron's plan is to destroy their home planet.

Acting on information from Bumblebee, Predaking finds evidence of Darksteel and Skylynx. He creates a signal in the form of a column of fire to try and attract the pair to his position, however the first to respond to it is Unicron. Megatron tricks Unicron into fighting the Predacon in the hopes if their shared body is mangled enough, it will be of no further use to Unicron and Megatron will be freed, however Unicron manages to defeat Predaking and, probing the Predacon's mind, learns of the burial ground.

The burial ground has also been found by Starscream, Darksteel and Skylynx, who summon Shockwave to help in gathering up the bones. Their task is interrupted by the arrival of Unicron, and Starscream is overjoyed to see whom he assumes is Megatron, however Unicron corrects him and bats him aside. Darksteel and Skylynx attack, but have no more luck against Unicron than anyone else has had. Opposition defeated, Unicron uses his power to raise the Predacon bones as an army of [[Terrorcon (Prime)|Terrorcons]]. Starscream flees, while Shockwave is quickly dogpiled by the horde.

The Autobots, using the warship's computer to try and locate Unicron, detect the huge build up of Dark Energon at the burial ground and quickly realize what Unicron intends. As the horde starts moving across [[Hydrax Plateau]] towards the [[Well of All Sparks]], the Autobots prepare to use the warship to defend the location. Ratchet and Ultra Magnus are dropped off at a safe location and Smokescreen goes to retrieve the remaining relics from storage. Starscream arrives on the ship and frees the imprisoned Deceptions. They attempt to retake the ship, however Knock Out turns against Starscream, using the phase shifter to seize the [[Immobilizer]] and clock him with it... which also destroys the Immobilizer. Ooops.

Predaking arrives back at the burial ground and is horrified to see it has been desecrated. He asserts his dominance over Skylynx and Darksteel by fighting them, however Shockwave pops up to suggest they go put their combat skills to more productive use against Unicron's horde.

The Autobots make their last stand in the warship, opening fire on the oncoming Terrorcons. While the horde flies up to attack the ship, the Predacon trio arrive to lend a hand. Unfortunately the warship is shot down a short time later by concentrated Terrorcon fire blasts, and the Autobots emerge, but Predaking tells them to leave the fighting to the beasts. The Predacons are only able to slow the horde's advance though, and the Terrorcons start heading into the Well of All Sparks. Unicron himself feels the presence of the AllSpark as Magnus's ship arrives back on Cybertron. Optimus jumps out to attack Unicron, who shoots down the ship down before Optimus can engage him. Even Optimus has trouble fighting Unicron, and he's only saved when Bumblebee uses the [[polarity gauntlet]] to halt Unicron's blow. Optimus flies to where Bulkhead and Arcee are helping Wheeljack out of the wreck of Magnus's ship, intending to secure the AllSpark. Unicron breaks free of the polarity gauntlet's grasp and catches up with Optimus, who is now fleeing with the AllSpark, shooting the Autobot leader down. Unicron opens the AllSpark container intending to devour the contents, only to find it is empty. Unicron's anti-spark is drawn out of Megatron by the vessel, which pulls it into itself and seals, trapping it there. The link to Unicron severed, Terrorcon army disintegrates just before it can reach the core.

Starscream lands, having escaped his cell during the crash, and welcomes Megatron back from the dead, believing Megatron will once again lead the Decepticons. Having been put through the torments of Unicron, Megatron is broken, and no longer wishes to be an oppressor. Over Starscream's objections, he declares the Decepticons no more, and flies away, destination unknown. Starscream also flees, going instead to Darkmount where he intended to take his place as Decepticon leader. His reign is short-lived, as the Predacons arrive looking to settle some old scores with him.

At the Well of All Sparks, Optimus revealed that in order to set the trap for Unicron, he was forced to empty the AllSpark into the [[Matrix of Leadership]] inside him. This unfortunately means that his own spark is one with the multitude of others now inside the Matrix, and the only way the AllSpark can be restored to the Well is by merging it with the planet's core, which means giving up his own life. Despite protestations, Optimus assures them there is no other way, and that the age of Primes is over... and that new leaders will arise not by decree of ancient talismans, but by the virtue of their actions. Optimus flies into the Well, sacrificing himself, which releases a multitude of sparks into the sky.

===Animation and technical errors===
*The pile of pipes that a crane picks up at Bulkhead's construction site doesn't behave like a pile of loose pipes, but as though they'd been welded together in the shape of a pile. In real life, the pipes are first tied together then lifted by a strap or other indirect method.
*Predaking often misses his wings when transforming into beast mode, for instance during the fight with Unicron/Megatron, Darksteel and Skylynx, and the fight against the Terrorcon Predacons. At the end of the last fight they just suddenly reappear when it ends at the Well of All Sparks.

===Continuity errors===
*Shockwave's survival is questionable, at best. Once the Terrorcon Predacon army is raised from the dead, they pile on Shockwave, who is currently in vehicle mode. When he shows up to convince the living Predacons to do something useful, he's now in robot mode with minimal visible damage; the worst is a missing "wing" and his cracked optic. Furthermore, he just vanishes from the plot after that. Did the Terrorcons decide he didn't taste good? Or was this a last-minute [[Hasbro]] edict to save him for later use?
*Speaking of Shockwave, why did he decide to fight those Terrorcons? Surely it would've been logical to run as Starscream did? Although the Terrorcons have displayed impressive speed, it would still be wise to retreat, as Shockwave isn't that much of a slowpoke, either.
*Nothing ever comes of the third Predacon clone Shockwave was in the process of growing, though it wasn't given much time to mature after being introduced.
*Come to think of it, if Predacon bones were on Cybertron, why weren't they turned into Terrorcons back in "[[Darkness Rising, Part 5|Darkness Rising]]"? Either this was a necessary plot hole, or the Predacon burial ground was embedded deep enough that the Dark Energon didn't seep that far.
*Darkmount's throne is undamaged when Starscream tries to claim it, even though Unicron shot it multiple times and pitched a spear through it.
*The manacles that Knock Out and the Vehicons are wearing in their first appearance are gone when Starscream shows up to break them out.
*Ratchet's medical scan of Ultra Magnus shows two intact hands, when he clearly still has the claw Ratchet fashioned for him.
*Unicron orders his Predacon zombies to use their "dragon fire" against Primus. As shown in "[[Prey (episode)|Prey]]", the word "dragon" is unknown to Bulkhead and Wheeljack, and it's rather unlikely Unicron would be more familiar with human mythology than the Autobots.
*The length of the Well of All Sparks seems to change frequently throughout the episode. First, it takes the Terrorcons several minutes, flying at top speed, to almost reach the core. In the meantime, Optimus arrives back on Cybertron, Unicron and Optimus battle and Optimus sets and springs the trap for Unicron. Then, when the Terrorcons are disabled and blasted to dust, Predaking, Darksteel and Skylynx are left treading air in front of Primus. Yet when Starscream takes off for Darkmount, they apparently fly up and out of the well, catch up with him, and arrive mere seconds after he does. Then later, when Optimus dives into the well, he arrives at Primus in what seems like mere ''seconds''.

*Bumblebee is promoted to Warrior-class after first mentioning it as his goal in "[[Masters & Students]]", and later admitting he was holding back to be promoted on Cybertron in "[[Project Predacon]]".
*Bulkhead goes back to construction as Ratchet suggested in "[[Alpha/Omega]]".
*A handful of Vehicons are seen helping repair buildings on Cybertron with the Autobots, though it's not made clear if this is forced labor or they just decided to switch sides. Other Vehicons are seen imprisoned with Knock Out, further muddling the issue.
*The AllSpark was introduced to the [[Aligned continuity family]] in the novel ''[[Transformers: Exodus|Exodus]]'', where it was launched from Cybertron during the war. *He has a LOT of rubbery plastic that likes to deform (Some in the box, the beastmode head on mine is warped and I have no idea how it's supposed to look 'normally'). Presumably the Takara release will have hard plastic?
*His rocket launchers have a gear-mesh system that allows you to plug them together and fire them at the same time... But this function doesn't work in beastmode, the plugs on his shoulders are too wide to allow the gears to mesh. Which is somewhat perplexing as this presumably would be the entire point of the gear-mesh system?
*Finally, his tail-sword is a neat idea, but doesn't really work, his hands (Being rubbery plastic) don't have enough friction or room for the tabs to hold the sword functionally like in the promo pictures. It tends to just flop out of his hand if you place it there.

On that note, the Promo-picture is miss transformed in robot mode, he should have a black spike erected on either shoulder.

On a more childish/awesome note, with his rocket launchers on his arms, he looks like he has dragon-headed fists, complete with fireball punches.

This page has become the epicenter of an edit war that has gone on for nearly a week now. As of the time of this writing, only six other pages link to this article. While I fully support the light tone of Teletraan I, and I understand that some explanation of aspects of the fandom complete the Wiki, I believe this particular article and debate at this point only detracts from the issue.

I DO agree that it was biased in the form in which it existed before our anonymous editor "friend" decided to change it, but I do not think that matters any longer. This article does not add anything inherently positive to the wiki, indeed, it does not chronicle anything positive ''or'' negative about Transformers itself at all. Its relation to Transformers is tangential at best.

I happen to think this article is incredibly useful in charting the tendency for all fans everywhere (but especially TF fans) to react in comical and hyperbolic ways. The Cliff Notes version: there's very little reason to.

The full version: Contrary to what [http://transformers.wikia.com/wiki/Ruined_FOREVER many people think], this is not a list of [http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Wookieepedia:Ruined_FOREVER everything Transformers ever]. It is not even a list of everything Transformers that fans have ever complained about. It is a list of the relative handful of times that something ground-shaking and new has come along, something totally different from what's gone before, something that's not exactly like 1984, that causes people to complain that Transformers has irrevocably jumped the shark and begun sinking into an irreversible oblivion. All this doomsaying is then typically followed by the franchise surging back to life as the awful horrible new thing turns out to be a smashing success. Alternately, the horrible new thing quietly fades away while the franchise chugs along to the next new thing.

Thing is, anybody who's stuck with Transformers to this point is used to these reinventions. Perspective has grown long enough that plenty of fans now understand that anything they don't like will be gone in a year or two. Maybe I'm biased 'cause I only read the Allspark boards and they're fairly intelligent, but cries of RUINED FOREVER are increasingly rare these days.

I don't see why Drift is on the list. Plenty of people think he sucks, but nobody's claiming he's going to bring down the whole franchise. ''All Hail Megatron'' would be a better candidate, because people (including myself!) ''are'' claiming that IDW's whole storyline has been permanently destroyed by it. (You could also make a case for ''Energon'' ("bad anime"), ''Prime Directive'' ("MATURE ADULT XXX" or "Buckets of Blood" or "Pat Lee"), and/or Dreamwave ("The Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man", "Superstars", "Bankruptcy").

I don't see why stolen prototypes are on the list. Yeah, some of us make a fuss over them. Y'know why? Because HASBRO THEMSELVES HAS SAID THEY ARE A THREAT TO THEIR BUSINESS. There's no ridiculously overblown grasping-at-straws fandom absurdity to mock here.

[[Ultra Magnus (WFC)|Ultra Magnus]] and [[Wheeljack (Prime)|Wheeljack]] indeed found the lab and destroyed the lab, killing the awakening Predacons and enraging Predaking. As a robot Predaking appeared to be slightly weaker but still proved a very capable warrior, able to crush Magnus's hand. After the battle, Shockwave reported that none of the Predacon clones survived the blast, much to the anger of Predaking. {{storylink|Evolution}}

Predaking still believed Megatron would uphold his promise to clone more Predacons once [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] was destroyed and continued to serve the Decepticons, assisting in their plan to rebuild the Omega Lock. He also proved formidable against Optimus Prime himself. {{storylink|Minus One}} It wasn't until [[Ratchet (WFC)|Ratchet]] revealed Megatron's treachery that Predaking realized the truth and confronted his former leader. Megatron, with help from Starscream, managed to defeat him and force him out of a ''Nemesis'' airlock. {{storylink|Synthesis}} Surviving, Predaking clung to the ship's hull and hopped off at Cybertron following the planet's rebirth. {{storylink|Deadlock}}

Following his return to [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]], [[Shockwave (WFC)|Shockwave]] succeeded in bringing two new clones, [[Skylynx]] and [[Darksteel (Prime)|Darksteel]], online while a third Predacon was being cloned. The two were put to use by searching for other Predacon remains to clone more of their kind. On a search in the [[Rust Sea|Sea of Rust]], they met Ultra Magnus and [[Smokescreen (Prime)|Smokescreen]]. They proceeded to attack, Skylynx leaving Ultra Magnus heavily damaged and Darksteel attacked Smokescreen merely shaking him up thanks to his phase shifter. Victorious, the two Predacons returned to Shockwave's lab, where they were scolded by [[Starscream (WFC)|Starscream]] for revealing themselves to the Autobots.

Utilizing [[Bumblebee (WFC)|Bumblebee]]'s tracking skills, the Autobots found Predaking, who seemed to have made a home of a Predacon burial ground that was uncovered by Cybertron's revitalization. The Autobots tried to make peace with Predaking stating that more than one race could peacefully co-exist on the planet, but he refused to forget the Autobot's part in the desctruction of his army. Later, Predaking acted on the words of the Autobots, and found evidence of Skylynx and Darksteel's existence. He fired a flaming beacon into the air in hopes that his brethren would find him, only to be responded by [[Unicron]] in possession of Megatron's body. However, Predaking fought the dark god, believing it to still be his former master. Megatron planned this, hoping for his body to be too broken by the Predacon for Unicron to use and thus be freed of his influence. However, Unicron was soon able to defeat the juggernaut and learns of the burial ground by entering his mind.

Skylynx and Darksteel struck gold for Shockwave's fossil hunt when they discovered the same Predacon burial ground. While they were collecting the bones, Unicron arrived to raise an army of [[Terrorcon (Prime)|undead]] Predacons. Skylynx and Darksteel attacked him, only to fare no better than anyone else. The undead Predacons first action was to trample Shockwave before marching towards the Well of AllSparks. Skylynx and Darksteel were later found there by Predaking, who swiftly asserted his leadership after defeating them in combat. After some advice from Shockwave, Predaking then led his Predacons into battle to assist the Autobots in fighting Unicron's horde of undead Predacons. However when the three Predacons engaged the Terrorcon Predacons they were trampled and dragged into the well by the Terrorcons. They were successful in slowing the horde down long enough for Optimus Prime to defeat Unicron, causing the Terrorcons to disintegrate. So, being polite (I didn't want to directly edit the page and add stuff without, you know, putting it here first) and having the toy in hand...

*He has a LOT of rubbery plastic that likes to deform (Some in the box, the beastmode head on mine is warped and I have no idea how it's supposed to look 'normally'). Presumably the Takara release will have hard plastic?
*His rocket launchers have a gear-mesh system that allows you to plug them together and fire them at the same time... But this function doesn't work in beastmode, the plugs on his shoulders are too wide to allow the gears to mesh. Which is somewhat perplexing as this presumably would be the entire point of the gear-mesh system?
*Finally, his tail-sword is a neat idea, but doesn't really work, his hands (Being rubbery plastic) don't have enough friction or room for the tabs to hold the sword functionally like in the promo pictures. It tends to just flop out of his hand if you place it there.

On that note, the Promo-picture is miss transformed in robot mode, he should have a black spike erected on either shoulder.

On a more childish/awesome note, with his rocket launchers on his arms, he looks like he has dragon-headed fists, complete with fireball punches.

My Predaking has fairly solid but flexible plastic on his head, and almost Play-Doh for hands. It takes a clear packaging band to hold it in place properly. Hey, remember when I said WFC/Prime is probably Primax? Well, I lied! After BotCon's flurry of information I think it's going to have to be its own thing. Not only because, well, it deserves to be, but because it will make our lives a lot easier and our pages a lot clearer. Back when the movie came out, we also considered making THAT G1, but declined when we realized the sheer amount of material and focus would make it impractical. The same here. Also, comments from Aaron Archer put the new continuity in perspective.

He ALSO doesn't like calling it "Prime," since that's not what he wants to call it, but it's all we got at the moment. He doesn't have a name for this new continuity (family), but is trying to think of one eventually. So, uh, in the meantime, I think we're stuck with calling it "Prime." Could someone please explain to me how War For Cybertron fits in the Prime Universe. I have a whole list of paradoxs:

*Megatron:In WFC, he was a tank, while in Prime, he was a jet. In WFC, Megatron new how to control dark energon, and used it often, but in Prime, he did not fuse it with his spark until he arrived on Earth.
*Starscream: First, his color scheme is different, in WFC, he is G1 like, but in Prime, he is movie like. Also, in The Darkness Rising Part 2, Starscream acted as if he hadn't came in contact with Dark Energon, but heard about it. However, the WFC Starscream knew exactly what Dark Energon does, and wants to learn how to weild it.
*Soundwave: Soundwave in WFC is like G1, with Laserbeak, Rumble, Frenzy, however in Prime, he is quiet, doesn' talk much,
(and even then, he just repeats recordings of what others have said) and only has 1 drone (Ratbat, i beleive his name is now.
*Ratchet:Rachet in WFC new what Drak Energon was, for it was alover Cybertron and Optimus pointed it out. In Prime, though, he says Dark Energon is so rare, its existence is doughted.
*Bumblebee:In WFC, he can talk and has a mouth, but in prime, he cannot talk. (Similar to his movie version.)
*Cliffjumper: In WFC, heis basicallya retool of Bumblebee, but in Prime, he is his own mold.
*Arcee: In WFC, she is like er G1 counterpart (and is a pink car), but the prime version is more like the movie version, and somewhat of a ninja. (And is a blue motercycle.)
*Dark Energon: In WFC, it was said it corrupts and destroys. But in Prime, it has the power to revive the dead. It is all over cybertron in WFC, and heck, even the Core of Cybertron is corrupted with it. But in Prime, it is apperently "so rare", how was it found on cybertron? Better yet in WFC, why was it being manufactured? (WARNING!!! SPOLIER ALERT!!! SPOLIERS UP AHEAD!!! STOP READING IF YOU DON'T LIKE SPOILERS!!!! WARNING!!!) and Prime, why is Megaton trying to ressurct ever dead cybertronian on Cybertron? Couldn't he have just done that in WFC?

[[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] has been restored, and [[Optimus Prime (WFC)|Optimus Prime]] gives a speech honoring those not still with them who helped make it possible. However even as he does so, back on [[Earth]] at the bottom of the ocean, [[Megatron (WFC)|Megatron]] is awoken by [[Unicron]]. Megatron is confused as to why his [[spark]] not one with the [[AllSpark]], but Unicron explains that Megatron's [[Dark Energon]] use has made that impossible. Requiring a new vessel with which to carry out his plans, Unicron reformats Megatron's body into a more powerful form, takes possession of it and heads into the sky. Meanwhile, Optimus holds a short ceremony to promote [[Bumblebee (WFC)|Bumblebee]] to warrior, before announcing that he and [[Wheeljack (Prime)|Wheeljack]] are going to go and retrieve the physical AllSpark from where it was hidden during the [[Great War (Prime)|Great War]].

Streaking through space, Megatron believes Unicron intends to become ruler of Cybertron, but Unicron reveals that he instead intends to destroy Primus, which will spell the end for that planet, and soon all of the universe.

As [[Bulkhead (Prime)|Bulkhead]] finds construction with [[Vehicon (Prime)|Vehicons]] a troublesome task, [[Arcee (WFC)|Arcee]] reports they've had no luck finding [[Starscream (WFC)|Starscream]] and [[Shockwave (WFC)|Shockwave]]. [[Knock Out (Prime)|Knock Out]], incarcerated on the [[Trypticon (WFC)|warship]], attempts to persuade the Bumblebee he's on their side by providing him with information on where they might locate the fugitive Decepticons. [[Ultra Magnus (WFC)|Ultra Magnus]] and [[Smokescreen (Prime)|Smokescreen]] patrol the [[Rust Sea|Sea of Rust]], now restored to a city, and run into an unpleasant surprise—the [[Predacon (Prime)|Predacons]] [[Darksteel (Prime)|Darksteel]] and [[Skylynx]]. The two Autobots are no match for the new clones, and Magnus is severely injured before Smokescreen manages to use the [[phase shifter]] to make their escape. [[Ratchet (WFC)|Ratchet]] is called to Cybertron to tend to Magnus, while the other Autobots try to decide on their next step.

Across space, Optimus and Wheeljack track the AllSpark to [[Theta Scorpii]]. Not wanting to risk losing [[Ultra Magnus's ship]] in the hazardous conditions there, Optimus continues on alone.

Utilizing Bumblebee's tracking skills, the Autobots find [[Predaking (Prime)|Predaking]], who has located a Predacon burial ground uncovered by the restoration of Cybertron. Bumblebee attempts to persuade Predaking that there can be a truce, but Predaking refuses to forget the Autobots' role in the destruction of his brethren. The Autobots instead head for Megatron's old fortress of [[Darkmount (Cybertron)|Darkmount]], which Knock Out has informed them may contain a map showing the location of Shockwave's laboratories.

Shockwave's current lab is in the ruins of [[Six Lasers Over Cybertron]]. Starscream arrives with another recovered Predacon bone, shortly before Darksteel and Skylynx return, laughing about their recent scrap. Starscream is furious to learn they've wandered off and revealed themselves to the Autobots, ruining their one major advantage, the element of surprise.

Over at Theta Scorpii, Optimus finally sights the AllSpark's container, but there's also an incoming [[plasma storm]], and he has to rush to retrieve their target before it can close in.

As the Autobots are checking out the Darkmount computer, they're interrupted by the arrival of Unicron, who makes it aggressively clear to both Autobot and Megatron alike who's in control of the Decepticon leader's form. The Autobots are no match for the dark god, so they attempt to scram. They're brought to a halt by a [[Smelting pool|smelting pit]], and a blast from Unicron leaves Bulkhead, Arcee and Smokescreen dangling over certain doom. Bumblebee manages to keep Unicron occupied long enough for Ratchet to provide a means of escape via [[GroundBridge]].

Meanwhile, Optimus has retrieved the AllSpark and made it back to the ship mere seconds before the plasma storm, and the Autobots book it out of there, though an asteroid thrown by the chaos collides with the ship. Back on the warship, Bumblebee attempts to contact Optimus, but the damage Magnus's ship sustained means though his message gets through, Optimus can't respond. The Autobots quickly realize that Unicron's plan is to destroy their home planet.

Acting on information from Bumblebee, Predaking finds evidence of Darksteel and Skylynx. He creates a signal in the form of a column of fire to try and attract the pair to his position, however the first to respond to it is Unicron. Megatron tricks Unicron into fighting the Predacon in the hopes if their shared body is mangled enough, it will be of no further use to Unicron and Megatron will be freed, however Unicron manages to defeat Predaking and, probing the Predacon's mind, learns of the burial ground.

The burial ground has also been found by Starscream, Darksteel and Skylynx, who summon Shockwave to help in gathering up the bones. Their task is interrupted by the arrival of Unicron, and Starscream is overjoyed to see whom he assumes is Megatron, however Unicron corrects him and bats him aside. Darksteel and Skylynx attack, but have no more luck against Unicron than anyone else has had. Opposition defeated, Unicron uses his power to raise the Predacon bones as an army of [[Terrorcon (Prime)|Terrorcons]]. Starscream flees, while Shockwave is quickly dogpiled by the horde.

The Autobots, using the warship's computer to try and locate Unicron, detect the huge build up of Dark Energon at the burial ground and quickly realize what Unicron intends. As the horde starts moving across [[Hydrax Plateau]] towards the [[Well of All Sparks]], the Autobots prepare to use the warship to defend the location. Ratchet and Ultra Magnus are dropped off at a safe location and Smokescreen goes to retrieve the remaining relics from storage. Starscream arrives on the ship and frees the imprisoned Deceptions. They attempt to retake the ship, however Knock Out turns against Starscream, using the phase shifter to seize the [[Immobilizer]] and clock him with it... which also destroys the Immobilizer. Ooops.

Predaking arrives back at the burial ground and is horrified to see it has been desecrated. He asserts his dominance over Skylynx and Darksteel by fighting them, however Shockwave pops up to suggest they go put their combat skills to more productive use against Unicron's horde.

The Autobots make their last stand in the warship, opening fire on the oncoming Terrorcons. While the horde flies up to attack the ship, the Predacon trio arrive to lend a hand. Unfortunately the warship is shot down a short time later by concentrated Terrorcon fire blasts, and the Autobots emerge, but Predaking tells them to leave the fighting to the beasts. The Predacons are only able to slow the horde's advance though, and the Terrorcons start heading into the Well of All Sparks. Unicron himself feels the presence of the AllSpark as Magnus's ship arrives back on Cybertron. Optimus jumps out to attack Unicron, who shoots down the ship down before Optimus can engage him. Even Optimus has trouble fighting Unicron, and he's only saved when Bumblebee uses the [[polarity gauntlet]] to halt Unicron's blow. Optimus flies to where Bulkhead and Arcee are helping Wheeljack out of the wreck of Magnus's ship, intending to secure the AllSpark. Unicron breaks free of the polarity gauntlet's grasp and catches up with Optimus, who is now fleeing with the AllSpark, shooting the Autobot leader down. Unicron opens the AllSpark container intending to devour the contents, only to find it is empty. Unicron's anti-spark is drawn out of Megatron by the vessel, which pulls it into itself and seals, trapping it there. The link to Unicron severed, Terrorcon army disintegrates just before it can reach the core.

Starscream lands, having escaped his cell during the crash, and welcomes Megatron back from the dead, believing Megatron will once again lead the Decepticons. Having been put through the torments of Unicron, Megatron is broken, and no longer wishes to be an oppressor. Over Starscream's objections, he declares the Decepticons no more, and flies away, destination unknown. Starscream also flees, going instead to Darkmount where he intended to take his place as Decepticon leader. His reign is short-lived, as the Predacons arrive looking to settle some old scores with him.

At the Well of All Sparks, Optimus revealed that in order to set the trap for Unicron, he was forced to empty the AllSpark into the [[Matrix of Leadership]] inside him. This unfortunately means that his own spark is one with the multitude of others now inside the Matrix, and the only way the AllSpark can be restored to the Well is by merging it with the planet's core, which means giving up his own life. Despite protestations, Optimus assures them there is no other way, and that the age of Primes is over... and that new leaders will arise not by decree of ancient talismans, but by the virtue of their actions. Optimus flies into the Well, sacrificing himself, which releases a multitude of sparks into the sky.

*The pile of pipes that a crane picks up at Bulkhead's construction site doesn't behave like a pile of loose pipes, but as though they'd been welded together in the shape of a pile. In real life, the pipes are first tied together then lifted by a strap or other indirect method.
*Predaking often misses his wings when transforming into beast mode, for instance during the fight with Unicron/Megatron, Darksteel and Skylynx, and the fight against the Terrorcon Predacons. At the end of the last fight they just suddenly reappear when it ends at the Well of All Sparks.

===Continuity errors===
*Shockwave's survival is questionable, at best. Once the Terrorcon Predacon army is raised from the dead, they pile on Shockwave, who is currently in vehicle mode. When he shows up to convince the living Predacons to do something useful, he's now in robot mode with minimal visible damage; the worst is a missing "wing" and his cracked optic. Furthermore, he just vanishes from the plot after that. Did the Terrorcons decide he didn't taste good? Or was this a last-minute [[Hasbro]] edict to save him for later use?
*Speaking of Shockwave, why did he decide to fight those Terrorcons? Surely it would've been logical to run as Starscream did? Although the Terrorcons have displayed impressive speed, it would still be wise to retreat, as Shockwave isn't that much of a slowpoke, either.
*Nothing ever comes of the third Predacon clone Shockwave was in the process of growing, though it wasn't given much time to mature after being introduced.

Then, when the Terrorcons are disabled and blasted to dust, Predaking, Darksteel and Skylynx are left treading air in front of Primus. Then later, when Optimus dives into the well, he arrives at Primus in what seems like mere ''seconds''.

The cave-in unearthed a Predacon optic, the sight of which awakened a memory in the beast. It brought the eye to Starscream, then engaged [[Miko Nakadai (Prime)|Miko Nakadai]], who had acquired the [[Apex Armor (Prime)|Apex Armor]]. On Starscream's advice, he arranged for the termination of the clones using the Autobots discovering the lab as a pretense. Predaking fell for the ruse, engaging Ultra Magnus and Wheeljack after they destroyed the clones. Predaking continued to believe that once Cybertron was restored, Megatron would resurrect the rest of the Predacon race. As the Decepticons worked to repair the Omega Lock, Predaking was dispatched to Antarctica to battle the Autobots.
