Sideswipe is true to his function of Warrior. Unlike most Autobots, Sideswipe was built to fight, and he enters the battlefield determined and focused. He prefers melee combat to ranged weapons, and will employ any maneuver it takes to get close enough to the enemy to use his arm-mounted swords. His agile, wheel-legged form more than allows for this.
After Optimus Prime's Autobots left Mission City, they left a homing beacon in a junk yard near the metropolis to attract any Autobots who might have heard Prime's rallying call to Earth. Alliance issue 3 Sideswipe was among those few that safely arrived and had hidden themselves in the junk yard. Once discovered, they were brought to Diego Garcia to train with the other Autobots and Major Lennox's soldiers in defense of their new home. However, they soon had to apply that training on the battlefield: the Decepticon Demolishor had been sighted in Shanghai, China. Alliance issue 4
:Sideswipe transforms into a silver Corvette Stingray concept car. In this mode, he sits so low that it's nearly impossible to roll him without scraping his undercarriage. His Mech Alive gimmick is in his knees. Bending his legs causes the blue armor plates on his knees to extend. He does have wheels in his feet just like his character model, but the toy's feet have been designed in such a way that it can actually stand. Sideswipe's instructions aren't clear as to how his torso is supposed to connect with his chest in robot mode. The torso piece has a square peg on top of it and there is a corresponding square hole between the two screws holding the front of his chest together. Getting his torso section in front of his arm struts can be a somewhat snug fit.

Swerve

: Swerve is an Autobot from the planet Velocitron during the Cybertron portion of the Unicron Trilogy.

It's a bit of a mystery why Swerve joined the Autobots. It's possible he just really hates the Decepticons that much. Anger certainly features heavily into Swerve's thought-processes; his internal CPUs are always running way too hot despite numerous cooling systems, giving him an incredibly foul and violent disposition.

Swerve was (and likely still is) a contender in Velocitron's illegal underground "oil-sports", races where it's not necessarily who reaches the finish line first, but who reaches it alive. He has heavily modified his own body with parts wrested from the losers of these races.

Fiction
Cybertron animated series continuity
The Dark Heart of Sandokan
The Dark Heart of Sandokan
Alongside fellow crew Blurr, Excellion, and Longrack, a remarkably even-tempered Swerve served as a member of Override's crew aboard her ship, the Star Arrow. After their ship crashed on the planet Sandokan, Swerve made deft use of the salvage skills he honed on Velocitron to locate an emergency distress beacon amid the wreckage. He went on to get sucker-punched by the beast of Sandokan, Synthos, taken hostage by Astrotrain, and even shot by Override. He took all of this rather well.

He also got to help steal Cannonball's ship. That has to count for something.

Cyber Key Code content
Swerve's current body is actually his 16th. Originally, he had a body similar in size to Crumplezone, but found it far too slow for his liking. After constantly bootlegging, manufacturing and salvaging new parts, Swerve eventually found a balance between speed and firepower that was to his liking.

Toys
Cybertron
*Swerve (Scout-class, 2005)

: A redeco of the Cybertron Clocker toy, Swerve transforms into a Cybertronic (Velocitronic?) sports car with open-to-the-air driver/passenger compartment. Inserting a Cyber Planet Key into the trunk section of his car mode flips up the side panels, revealing non-firing blasters. This assembly becomes a hand-weapon for robot mode. His side-pipes are removable, and can be mounted on his legs or used as hand-weapons as well. He came with a silver-bordered Velocitron-style Cyber Planet Key with the Key code s12r on the back.

: This mold was further redecoed and retooled to make the 2006 exclusive versions of Cheetor and Tigatron. It is also the basis for the non-toy Maximal Command Security Force characters.

Trivia
* Swerve's coloration is based on a Gonzo test-run of the Clocker CGI model produced before Clocker's colors had been finalized. Apparently, the Hasbro team liked the general look of the model enough to turn it (or an approximation of it) into a toy.
Ricochet's function is Rapid-Fire Attack, and he's well suited to it. He is the most accurate marksman the Autobots have and a Targetmaster as well, further augmenting his incredible skill. Unfortunately he's also quick-tempered and very easily provoked. This leads to him having a hard time maintaining friendly relations or even conversations with his teammates. How he manages to keep friendly with Fusion and the chatterbox Bluestreak is anyone's guess. In his favor, Ricochet has an uncommonly strong sense of justice (exactly twice as strong as the ordinary Autobot), though when combined with his other traits that, too, can lead to trouble.
Ricochet accompanied Artfire, Chromedome and Daniel Witwicky in responding to a building fire. While the Autobots attempted to rescue people and put out the flames, the Decepticon Targetmasters attacked. However, the arrival of Fortress Maximus, who dropped fire-retardant foam on the buidlings in starship mode, gave the two Autobot Targetmasters the chance they needed to combine with their gun-partners and send the Decepticons flying away uncontrollably.

Though he was never activated, Ricochet was apparently one of several clones created by Shockwave in the same program that produced Sunstorm.

This origin is at odds with what little else we know about Ricochet. Of course, Sunstorm wasn't a clone in most stories either...
As a Targetmaster, he came with a smaller partner robot named Nebulon. In gun mode, Nebulon could peg into Stepper's car mode spoiler, or could attach to a separate bracket that mounted over his robot-mode shoulder. Stepper did not come with any of Jazz's accessories.

: As a late addition to the Japanse Headmasters series and one of the earliest Japanese-only Transformers, though Stepper was not particularly rare, he was perceived as such in the west, and as such commanded top dollar on the secondary market for many years... until the reissue pretty much iced that.
His arsenal was bolstered by the addition of Jazz's weapons, chromed gold where they had been silver for the Takara version, and solid black plastic for the Hasbro release. Additionally, Nightstick was retooled with a slender peg extension to allow Ricochet to actually hold him in his hand.

: Amusingly enough, neither version sold all that well, and in the US was eventually sent to the "closeout" chain Tuesday Morning, where he could be purchased for $8 (original TRU price was $35). Japan saw similar clearance sales on the piece.
He volunteered to undergo a unique form of Binary-bonding in order to save the wounded Autobot Ricochet, whose metabolism was damaged in an accident. Thus the symbiotic relationship between the two is closer to the concept of the Powermasters than traditional Targetmasters (who are Binary-bonded at wrist as opposed to the back, as in Ricochet and Nightstick's case). While in weapon mode, Nightstick utilizes the energy gathered by Ricochet's Black Body to generate a powerful Flame Cannon, which causes such intense engine heat that its use is unfeasible in vehicle mode, as it would cause backdraft problems. Chromedome and Daniel were having trouble controlling the fire when Ricochet and Artfire, accompanied by their partners Nightstick and Nightstick (not to be confused with Nightstick), showed up to help. Nightstick and Ricochet quickly aided their Autobot chums in the quenching of the blaze. With the fire under control, the Autobots then set their attentions on the Decepticons and sent them into a retreat.
However, due to the fact that Scourge's Targetmaster partner is never referred to by name in his tech specs, only as "the Nebulon," Stepper's gun wound up getting that for a moniker.

As a leader material, Holi isn’t exactly cut from the right cloth. He’s young, but so is the rest of the Rescue Patrol Team, and though he is the most mature of them all, that isn’t saying much. Holi likes to hang out with Star Saber’s human son, Jan, in his spare time. While a goof-off most of the time, when there’s trouble he’s quick to act. He is a fast-thinker and a resourceful one at that. He misses his home planet of Micro greatly, mostly due to the fact that his girlfriend is there (something the rest of the Rescue Patrol enjoys riding him on).

Crackhead English-Maylay dub name: Fixit
Victory cartoon
:Voice actor: Kyoko Tonguu (Japan)

Holi spent much of his time hanging around with Jan – possibly more than is healthy – but they shared a close friendship somewhat like that of Daniel and Wheelie (albeit with a dash more antagonism at times). He was smarter than he seemed, as he apparently built Jan's hover-pod, without which the kid couldn't get around Autobot bases half as quickly as he did. He also showed pretty serious guts for such a tiny fellow; it took a certain kind of spunk to try a flying pounce on Leozack. Too bad he forgot about Leozack's little buddy.

Just when it seemed Holi's only purpose on Earth was to babysit Jan and occasionally take part in a skirmish, he got outed. He wasn't just any Micromaster – he was none other than the leader of the Rescue Patrol Team! Though a bit scatterbrained in his early approach, he quickly proved he was no slouch when it counted and led his team on a successful operation the very day they finally showed up.

Following the destruction of Deathsaurus's asteroid plant, Star Saber was called on to take care of some problems on Micro. Apparently, Ginrai was more than a little busy elsewhere in the sector. The Rescue Patrol Team went along.

After Blue Bacchus and Black Shadow were taken care of, Leozack and crew showed up looking to bust their pal Gaihawk out of his prison on Micro's moon. Even with the ex-mercenary Greatshot helping them out (to Holi's initial dismay), the Autobots couldn't stop Gaihawk's release by Hellbat. With the prison falling down around them and a rather large lava pit beneath them, Holi looked on in bemusement as Greatshot attempted to sway his former colleague to the Autobot side. Gaihawk wasn't having it and blasted the Six Changer, who tumbled into the lava pit, then made good his escape with the rest of the Breastforce close behind. Holi then proved himself not only a true Autobot by staying to pull Greatshot from the pit, but ridiculously strong for a Micromaster while he was at it. The only thing that stopped him from pulling Greatshot from the pit unassisted was the ground giving way under his feet. Luckily, Star Saber arrived just in time to save them both from gravity's merciless clutches.

Holi then naturally took the opportunity to visit his girlfriend, despite the good-natured ribbing his teammates gave him about it. After all, what self-respecting bot wouldn't pay a visit to his girl with a cadre of powerful Decepticon warriors on the loose? Holi was rewarded for his thoughtfulness when he and Clipper, out for a drive and a little bit of catch-up after his long absence from Micro, stumbled upon an argument between Hellbat and Deathcobra. The loving couple were subsequently witness to Deathcobra's murder and given the blame by a panicking Hellbat, who ran off and told his tale to the rest of the Breastforce. For some reason, they bought the story and stormed off to take revenge for their fallen comrade. On the Micromasters who killed him.

On MICROMASTERS, people. The pair were still conveniently at the scene and would have been scrap had it not been for the timely intervention of Star Saber.
:Holi is an Autobot in the Victory era of the Generation 1 continuity family.

He wasn't just any Micromaster – he was the leader of the Rescue Team! Though a bit scatterbrained in his early approach, he quickly proved he was no slouch when it counted and led his team on a successful operation the very day they finally showed up.

Following the destruction of Deathsaurus's asteroid plant, Star Saber decided it was time for everyone to go visit Micro. Well, not quite everyone; the Brainmasters stayed behind to make sure the Dinoforce didn't cause too much trouble. All the problems followed the vacationers, of course. Leozack and crew showed up looking to bust their pal Gaihawk out of his prison on Micro's moon. Even with the mercenary Greatshot helping them out (to Holi's initial dismay), the Autobots couldn't stop Gaihawk's release by Hellbat.

Hey guys! Since the b4tA online game isn't really providing any stats but the overall totals, I'm going to take it on myself to mash some up and give ppl a real idea how 'close' zones are to the tipping point. (Zone 16, for instance, sees only about 100 battles per day, so the actual number of wins needed to tip it from Autobot to Decepticon control is small- most of North America sees 20 times that volume.)

However, my geography... not so good. I want to give continental totals too, but I don't know where to break them up. (Where does Europe end and Asia begin?)
Also, if you have any ideas for names of individual zones, let me know, since the game designers neglected to give us descriptive titles. ==Balance?==
" The game's developer, who sometimes plays as a Dreadwing named simply Admin, is particularly proud of the 'balance' of of the game, where low-level players can still realistically challenge high-level players because they are ill-equipped to deal with the long 'endurance' matches favored by the low-level attacks."
:Is... this sarcasm? It's hard to tell, partially because the sentence is poorly-constructed. --M Sipher 02:16, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
::I believe it's meant that the high-level players are ill-equipped to handle the "endurance" matches of low-level attacks, but it's still either sarcasm or a painfully misinformed statement. Get a Major whoring out his Trigger Happy and his Flamethrower, and no Lieutenant or Private will last more than five or six rounds unless he's lucky. – Slackerbot 05:22, 21 June 2007 (UTC)<div id="wikia-credits"><br /><br /><small>From Teletraan I: The Transformers Wiki, a Wikia wiki.</small></div>

Perceptor is a scientist, one of the most brilliant minds the whole of Cybertron can offer. He is always looking to learn more, and his discoveries have proven invaluable time and time again. Though his specialties lie in metallurgy, electrical engineering, and other sciences closely related to Transformer physiology, his thirst for knowledge has made him kind of a scientific jack-of-all-trades.

One of Perceptor's most infamous qualities is his tendency to speak using overly scientific terms, which can baffle – and occasionally frustrate – his comrades. The cheerful robot just doesn't seem to realize that not everyone has his extensive vocabulary.

Not much for fighting, he is always content to contribute to the Autobot cause in his own way but will engage in combat if the situation calls for it. Optimus Prime often relies on Perceptor's genius and considers him as valuable as any of his officers.

Fiction
Marvel Comics continuity
On Cybertron, Perceptor was often considered an officer or otherwise highly ranked personage by other Cybertronic life forms in the vicinity, inspiring in the aforementioned others a tendency to view him as a "commander" of a faction of Autobots who engaged in armed conflict against localized enemy forces until such a point as the aforementioned combat unit, or the surviving portions thereof, crossed the multidimensional warp system for transport, otherwise known as the Space Bridge, to join the forces based on the planetary body known to the overwhelming majority of those of his species who had shifted their operations to its locality as Earth. He was later deactivated for a somewhat extended period of time, by human standards if not by those of his species, by the opposing faction (as judged by an outside observer who insists on a binary classification system) in the Underbase conflict, so named for the goal of the conflict, a legendary storehouse of Cybertronic knowledge.

Animated continuity
:Voice actor: Paul Eiding (US), Chikao Shiroyama (Japan)

Perceptor arrived on Earth during a period of time occurring after the initial impact of the Ark into the planet. During his period of habitation on that planetary body, he experienced a myriad of adventures. Included in that scope were incidents such as: being abducted by the Decepticons, along with Seaspray; reconfiguring his mass ratio to a microscopic scale in order to sever the connection of the Heart of Cybertron to Megatron's body; traveling through the interstellar void with Jazz to reacquire Cosmos from Saturn's moon Titan; and landing on an unexplored world in which Cybertronian lifeforms were minuscule in relation to the immense indigenous population. He also synthesized a panacea to remedy the deadly Cosmic Rust epidemic.

Perceptor's actions continued to be of intrinsic strategic import, particularly following the distinct tactical deficiencies during the battle of Autobot City that resulted in the expiration of Wheeljack. He also accompanied Rodimus Prime on a multitude of his manifold peregrinations.
Perceptor, Wheeljack and Minerva were summoned, called forth, or otherwise sought out by Star Saber to save, preserve, and defend the life of the critically damaged and weakened Ginrai.

: Formerly a Microchange MC-20 Micro Scope, Perceptor transforms into a predominantly red, functional microscope. His magnification is limited to 1X due to the relatively crude nature of his lens. In robot mode, Perceptor is armed with a red laser rifle and a spring-loaded rocket launcher that can fire one of three red missile-shaped projectiles.

: A holdover from his Microchange origins, Perceptor can also transform into a 'tank' mode.

: The Japanese version does not launch missiles from the scope, despite what some sources say.

: There is an old variant of this toy: some have a more golden-hued chrome than the normal silver. This is not a very common variant.

Trivia
*In the animated portion of Perceptor's original toy commercial he is presented as being quite small, the size a microscope would be in relation to Prime's robot form, and not growing at all, but remaining just as tiny in robot form.

* A Perceptor Action Master was planned at one point, but apparently went no further than a concept sketch. The art is based solely on the toy including the faceplate unlike most other Action Masters. It has the distinction of carrying on Perceptor's well-armed legacy, with not just one but TWO shoulder mounted microscope cannons, arm shields, and a large handgun . The figure may have been intended as a pilot or driver for an Action Master vehicle, as the handgun has handlebars jutting off either side. Or, perhaps, the aforementioned munition was engineered to be wielded in an akimbo manner, simply because that is the fashion in which Perceptor traverses rotationally, canid.

:Wreck-Gar is an Autobot-allied Junkion from the Generation 1 franchise.

Wreck-Gar is the leader of the Junkions, a tribe (or possibly race) of junk-robot Transformers who call the planet Junkion "home sweet home". Like all Junkions, Wreck-Gar's speech is a hodge-podge mish-mash of phrases taken from Earth broadcasting, especially television, which has become the focal point of Junkion culture. He is generally suspicious of strangers, but once he considers you a friend, he's a steadfast and selfless individual. He oversees his people's daily activities of "sorting" through their planet's collection of scrap, though what basis they use to sort the material has yet to be identified. He seems to have some sort of relationship with a Junkion lady named Nancy.

In battle, Wreck-Gar is easy to knock down, but near-impossible to keep down, thanks to the very unique physiology of the Junkions. He tends to lose pieces easily when he takes damage, but he can repair that damage with lightning speed, and it's possible that even if he's reduced to a pile of parts it's only a short time before he's back on his feet again swinging his axe. This rapid-healing ability reaches almost instantaneous speed on his home planet of Junk, or anywhere he can get his hands on scrap metal. Many would-be conquerors have mistaken the Junkions for harmless idiots. Most of them are currently scattered across the rusted surface of Junk.

Animated continuity
:Voice actors: Eric Idle, Tony Pope (US); Toshirō Ishii (Japan)

At first Wreck-Gar views the Autobots as thieves and enemies. Attacking without warning after Ultra Magnus' 'death', Wreck-Gar and his fellow Junkions soon learn that they were wrong. Wreck-Gar fights Springer for a while, before being taken down by Daniel Witwicky, with a steel bar to the back of the head.

Following their defeat and the arrival of Hot Rod, Kup, Wheelie and the Dinobots--and subsequent pacification with the Universal Greeting, Wreck-Gar has the Junkions rebuild Ultra Magnus, and dance with the Autobots to "Weird Al" Yankovic until they decide maybe they should protect Cybertron from Unicron after all.

After boogying down for an unspecified amount of time, the Junkions reveal their rather cruddy-looking ship to the Autobots and prepare to destroy Unicron, kill the Grand Poobah, and eliminate even the toughest stains.

Against Unicron, Wreck-Gar doesn't inflict much damage, really. Revealing the Junkions as mostly bluster, they fly around annoying Unicron until the ship is crushed by Unicron's hand.

Wreck-Gar survived as did Perceptor, appearing with the rest of Rodimus Prime's Autobot team. He took over from Ratchet as the team's main surgeon, after these events.

Battle on the Junk Planet
Battle on the Junk Planet
When an Autobot Shuttle is forced to land on The Junk Planet for repairs, Blurr catches the attention of Wreck-Gar. Wreck-Gar is impressed by Blurr's powerful engine... and decides he wants it! He attacks the Autobots with a horde of Junkions, intent on hacking the still-sputtering engine from Blurr's body, and fights Springer in the process.

The misunderstanding comes to an end when Kup, an old hand at negotiating with natives, locates their missing shuttle and instead engages the Junkions in a barter session, trading weapons and energon. The Junkions wave as their new friends depart with all their parts intact.

Blackthorn Comics continuity
Dreamwave comics continuity
Wreck-Gar found the chassis of the near-dead Megatron floating in space, where it had been abandoned by Starscream while on a supply run. Wreck-Gar brought Megatron back on-line, and even salvaged several Air Warrior drone bodies from the surface of Junk for him so he could reclaim his position ad leader of the Decepticons. For his efforts, Megatron stabbed Wreck-Gar through the chest.

(Note: Dreamwave declared bankruptcy before many of its plot threads could be resolved. Due to the Junkions' rapid-repair, very-hard-to-kill physiology, it seems unlikely that Wreck-Gar was a fatality.)

Transformers Legends anthology
"Collect and Save" by Tim Waggoner

When the Recyclons arrived on Junk, intending to convert the planet into energon for their overseers the Harvest Lords of Sigrath, Wreck-Gar apprached the leader Salvage, and got two blaster bolts in the chest. After a near-instantaneous repair job, Wreck-Gar called out his fellows and swarmed the Recyclons, severely damaging them and forcing them to retreat to their ship the Reclamation and lift off.

Salvage returned to the planet's surface, leaving the Reclamation in orbit, in order to make peace with Wreck-Gar. But it was all a ruse; Salavge slapped a device on Wreck-Gar, a more powerful version of the Junkion leader's own decelerator laser, preventing him from attacking or calling his people while the orbiting Recyclons fired a beam from the Prime Processing Unit to convert the planet to energon from space. However, Wreck-Gar proved even stronger than Salvage expected, and he called the Junkions to fire a tractor beam at the Reclamation, sending it crashing into Junk seconds before the Prime Processing Unit activated, causing the ship to explode. Salvage himself lived only a few seconds more than his fellows, as the Junkions closed in on him immediately afterwards.

: Wreck-Gar's only toy transforms into a Cybertronic "junk" motorcycle, and is noteworthy for being one of the earliest uses of ball-and-socket joints in the Transformers toy line. The original toy commercial portrayed him as a Decepticon, presumably to keep with the theme of the movie and not spoil a surprise... even though the toy was always labelled and packaged as an Autobot.

: Unfortunately, two Wreck-Gar toys are completely incapable of riding one another, as seen in the movie.

: For nearly 20 years, Wreck-Gar was the only Junkion toy, until the creation of the e-Hobby exclusive Detritus.

Merchandise
A plastic "super deformed" mini-figurine of Wreck-Gar was created as part of the second wave of MyClone Transformers in Japan. These toys could be disassembled and their parts mixed-and-matched thanks to a generic base body. In Wreck-Gar's case, this is especially appropriate.

Perceptor is a scientist, one of the most brilliant minds the whole of Cyberton can offer. Not much for fighting, he is always content to contribute to the Autobot cause in his own way but will engage in combat if the situation calls for it. Optimus Prime often relies on Perceptor's genius and considers him as valuable as any of his officers.
One of Perceptor's most infamous qualities is his tendency to speak using overly scientific terms, which can baffle his comrades (and occasionally frustrate them).

Perceptor transforms into a microscope and can function as any microscope known to man, including an electron microscope. In both modes, he can use the optical lenses in his microscope barrel-cannon to fire a beam of concentrated light.
Perceptor first appeared in the cartoon series during season two, alongside other Autobots as Hasbro introduced new characters in their toy line. His adventures include being captured by Decepticons along with Seaspray, shrinking down to microscopic size to disconnect the Heart of Cyberton from Megatron's body, assisting Jazz on a mission to recover Cosmos from Saturn's moon, Titan, and landing on a foreign planet where Transformers are the size of toys.
Perceptor continued to have an impact in the series from then on, becoming the most heavily relied-upon scientific mind after the movie. He also accompanies Rodimus Prime on several other journies.
