==Synopsis==

[[Bumblebee (WFC)|Bumblebee]] is manhandled onto the bridge of [[Starscream's ship]], where [[Starscream (WFC)|Starscream]] reflects on the good fortune he's had recently. After Starscream reveals that he intends to keep both Bumblebee and the captured [[Mini-Con]]s as hostages, despite the agreement, Bumblebee makes a break for it. Driving through the ship's corridors in search of the Mini-Cons, he's stopped by Starscream's men and, though he puts up a fight, [[Shadelock]] manages to stun him.

In the [[Vintage Salvage Depot for the Discriminating Nostalgist|scrapyard]], the rest of Team Bee has filled [[Optimus Prime (WFC)|Optimus Prime]] in on recent events. While [[Denny Clay|Denny]] and [[Russell Clay|Russell]] man the command center, the Autobots split up to search for Starscream.

With Bumblebee now more securely restrained, Starscream relates the story of how he managed to escape the [[Predacon (Prime)|Predacons]] back on [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] by finding some autoguns, and how he found a lab in [[Darkmount (Cybertron)|Darkmount]] containing the seven [[Weaponizer]] Mini-Cons. He believes that [[Megatron (WFC)|Megatron]]'s theory that linking all seven Mini-Cons with one host will give that host immense power will enable him to defeat his old master and conquer the galaxy. He starts scanning to try to find the Mini-Cons.

[[Sideswipe (RID)|Sideswipe]] and [[Strongarm (RID)|Strongarm]] strike gold in their search when they stumble on [[Tricerashot]] and [[Lancelon]], however as they're calling for backup, more of the Mini-Cons appear and the pair are soon under Mini-Con control. [[Grimlock (RID 2015)|Grimlock]] is first to arrive, and finds himself under attack by the Mini-Cons and his controlled friends. Grimlock momentarily pins his teammates against a tree with his tail, but quickly finds himself overwhelmed. The Mini-Cons are discussing their next step when Optimus arrives and forcibly separates [[Windstrike]] and [[Sawtooth (RID)|Sawtooth]] from Strongarm and Sideswipe. [[Aerobolt]] recognizes the Autobot leader, and the two groups cease fighting.

On Starscream's ship, [[Jetstorm (RID)|Jetstorm]] and [[Slipstream (RID)|Slipstream]] are having no luck in breaking through the [[force field]] on their cell until [[Fixit (RID)|Fixit]] suggests an alternate route. They manage to get Jetstorm up to a grate in the ceiling.

The Mini-Cons finish telling the Autobots their story, and Strongarm brings up the fact that she felt a power surge when Sawtooth linked to her, and Aerobolt says the full surge requires the trust and acceptance of both participants. He and Optimus attempt to link, however they're unsuccessful as Optimus does not trust Aerobolt enough. The group continues on their search for the captured Autobots, though Tricerashot is not altogether convinced about the arrangement.

While Starscream continues trying to track the Mini-Cons, Jetstorm reaches the bridge, though he makes so much noise that Bumblebee has to distract Starscream by baiting the Seeker into further monologing so the Mini-Con can get to cover.

As the group of Autobots and Mini-Cons walks, Tricerashot expresses his misgivings to Buzzstrike, who points out Tricerashot himself thought he felt something when he tried to link to Grimlock. Though Tricerashot's thinking of going it alone, Buzzstrike convinces him to stay with the group. The group is halted when they run into [[Scavenger (RID 2015)|the Scavengers]], who demand the Mini-Cons. The scavengers pull out the relics they've found and the Autobots begin fighting. As the Mini-Cons discuss linking with their Autobot allies, Tricerashot slinks off, however Sawtooth decides to take the initiative and transforms to weapon mode, jumping into Strongarm's hand and allowing her to knock Paralon flying.

Starscream detects the power surge, and starts piloting his ship towards the source.

After knocking down Paralon, Strongarm and Sawtooth link properly and make short work of Scatterspike, however when they separate and Sawtooth is injured by Thermador, the other Mini-Cons go to the aid of their comrade. Clawtrap uses a relic to capture the five Autobots in an energy web, leaving them helpless, however as he prepares to do the same with the Mini-Cons, Starscream's ship appears overhead and snatches the Mini-Cons up in a tractor beam before flying off, Starscream gloating to Bumblebee that he's finally won.

As the Autobots prepare to embark through the [[GroundBridge]], [[Fixit (RID)|Fixit]] laments that he always misses the adventures the others go on. [[Sideswipe (RID)|Sideswipe]] tells him he hasn't missed much, somewhat annoyed at [[Bumblebee (WFC)|Bumblebee]]'s enthuiasm about taking his team on a "history lesson". The Bridge opens, and the team steps through...into [[Hangar E|a human military base]], much to [[Strongarm (RID)|Strongarm]]'s panic about their being exposed, and she frantically calls Fixit for a groundbridge out before they're discovered...

...only to be countermanded by Bumblebee, who tells them there's nothing to worry about, and invites them to analyze the surrounding base and tell him what they discover. Strongarm notes that everything is covered in dust, while [[Grimlock (RID 2015)|Grimlock]] and [[Drift (RID)|Drift]] observe that whoever had occupied the base before abandoning it had terrible taste in furnishings. Grousing that the base is only abandoned ''now'', Bumblebee leads them outside, where the team scans a nearby abandoned Jeep for desert camouflage colors - except for Grimlock - and they head to where they can get a good look at the surrounding area, where - to Strongarm's wonderment and Sideswipe's annoyance, they see another piece of history: the ruined mesa that once housed [[Autobot Outpost Omega One]].

The team transforms to drive to the outpost, where Bumblebee warns them to be cautious, as they had left security systems operating when they abandoned the base. Waxing nostalgic about days of hiding from invading Decepticons and arm-wrestling with [[Bulkhead (Prime)|Bulkhead]], he muses that they should retrieve some of the "important artifacts" that were stored on the lower levels, levels they had kept secret even from the humans "for their own protection". However his reminiscing about having once kept a holodiary is cut short by Sideswipe's observation that a nearby "historic artifact" looks rather newer than it should be - and it is, in fact, a bomb.

After fighting off the indiscriminate security systems with the help of [[Jetstorm (RID)|Jetstorm]] and [[Slipstream (RID)|Slipstream]], Bumblebee calls to have Fixit start work on deciphering the bomb, while the team splits up to try and find who placed it. Bumblebee and Sideswipe head directly down into the base...

...where they stumble across a scorpion-like Decepticon who introduces himself as [[Paralon]], and declares that the base, and everything in it, is his by right of salvage. His partner, the [[Mini-Con]] [[Buzzstrike]], transforms into an Energon axe, and the Autobots marvel at the energy reading he's giving off, along with the fact he's powering up Paralon, before Sideswipe runs out of patience and charges. Bumblebee calls for backup as Sideswipe is sent flying, but the call is garbled when the others receive it, and they assume it was a normal check-in.

Elsewhere, Strongarm and Grimlock are exploring when Grimlock steps on something that goes ''click''. Alarmed, the two call Bumblebee for advice, only to find no response. Strongarm starts trying to decide exactly how to deal with what they're certain is a mine - much to Grimlock's discomfiture - as Drift, Jetstorm and Slipstream have their search route take them close enough to detect the sounds and flashing lights of combat, and charge in. Paralon is put on the defensive by Drift - but he throws Buzzstrike at Bumblebee, who catches him, and the Mini-Con immediately interfaces with him, taking control of his body and forcing him to attack Drift as Paralon makes quick work of the samurai's Mini-Cons.

Between them, Paralon and Buzzstrike take down the team; Paralon, worrying that the base could be swarming with Autobots at any moment, observes they don't have time to finish them off as he signals the bomb to accelerate its countdown. Buzzstrike balks, noting he didn't sign up to hurt people; Paralon tells him that anyone who gets in the way of [[Scavenger (RID 2015)|Scavengers]] has brought their fate on their own servos, and he transforms into scorpion mode, a pensive Buzzstrike climbing aboard as they hurry off to the central command center where they will be safe from the blast. Sideswipe comes to just in time to see them leave, and he decides to follow and take them down once and for all.

Strongarm, meanwhile, realizes she and Grimlock are in over their heads, and she transforms to find Bumblebee to solve the problem, in the process driving by the bomb and noting with shock that it's activating. She finds the others as they come to, and they rush back to the bomb. The interference from earlier is worse now, and they can't contact Fixit for advice; Bumblebee declares there is only one option left, and he activates his [[Decepticon Hunter]] and strides towards the bomb, raising the weapon...

Sideswipe catches up with Paralon and Buzzstrike as the scavengers discover a plasma rifle in the wreckage, bluffing that the others are right behind him, only to have his bluff cut short by an earthquake from the bomb's explosion. Recovering, he stuns Paralon, grabs the rifle and transforms, driving back into the base as Buzzstrike looks on thoughtfully.

Back with Bumblebee, Strongarm compliments him on his using the Decepticon Hunter to trigger the force shield trap to contain the bomb's explosion, then tells him that Grimlock needs his help ''now'', leaving Bee to sigh about how the day just keeps getting worse. Elsewhere, Paralon grouches about the base having so many levels, only to be ambushed by Sideswipe, who had ducked into the secret storage levels to hide. The two duel, Sideswipe knocking out the Decepticon once again - only to have Buzzstrike take over Paralon's unconsious body. He offers to let Sideswipe keep the weapon they'd found if they are allowed to go; the hot-headed Autobot counters that he intends to take the weapon ''and'' the scavengers in, sparking a fight that Buzzstrike-Paralon quickly wins...only to leave Sideswipe, and the weapon, sprawled on the floor as he turns to walk away.

Bumblebee finds Grimlock, the Dinobot having resigned himself to his fate, and pushes him off the 'mine'...explaining to the shocked Grimlock that they didn't ''place'' any mines when they left, and the click had just been his crushing an old armor buffer that [[Ratchet (WFC)|Ratchet]] had discarded. Strongarm finds Sideswipe coming to, informing him that everything is fine; he wonders why the scavengers didn't finish him off ''or'' take their prize...

...even as Buzzstrike releases Paralon from his control, letting the Decepticon come around in bewilderment. Buzzstrike spins a tale to the somewhat pissed scorpion about being surrounded by Autobots and thus having to run for it, without there being time to recover the plasma rifle. Paralon grudgingly accepts this, but he warns Buzzstrike not to say anything to "the others" about their failure, as he intends to be the greatest scavenger of all and it won't do to be laughed at. He pushes aside a false rock face to reveal the ramp of a Cybertronian scout-ship, which the two board, Buzzstrike still looking not quite convinced of their virtues.

Regrouping outside the base's ruins, Bumblebee compliments Sideswipe on his initiative; Sideswipe admits that knowing about history might have been helpful after all. Bee calls up Fixit - the interference having cleared - and gets the word that they are all-clear of Decepticon signals. Sideswipe then observes that he had grabbed an artifact on his way out, that he produces; Bumblebee panics at seeing the small disc, insisting it be handed over, but Sideswipe activates it - revealing it to be Bumblebee's old holodiary, showing the Autobot scout in legwarmers as he tried to make the Cybertronian equivalent of an exercise video. The team cracking up as Bee stammers for an explanation and then grabs for the device, the two Autobots scuffling and then transforming into car form to chase each other as the others resume laughing.

As the Autobots prepare to embark through the [[GroundBridge]], [[Fixit (RID)|Fixit]] laments that he always misses the adventures the others go on. [[Sideswipe (RID)|Sideswipe]] tells him he hasn't missed much, somewhat annoyed at [[Bumblebee (WFC)|Bumblebee]]'s enthuiasm about taking his team on a "history lesson". The Bridge opens, and the team steps through...into [[Hangar E|a human military base]], much to [[Strongarm (RID)|Strongarm]]'s panic about their being exposed, and she frantically calls Fixit for a groundbridge out before they're discovered...

...only to be countermanded by Bumblebee, who tells them there's nothing to worry about, and invites them to analyze the surrounding base and tell him what they discover. Strongarm notes that everything is covered in dust, while [[Grimlock (RID 2015)|Grimlock]] and [[Drift (RID)|Drift]] observe that whoever had occupied the base before abandoning it had terrible taste in furnishings. Grousing that the base is only abandoned ''now'', Bumblebee leads them outside, where the team scans a nearby abandoned Jeep for desert camouflage colors - except for Grimlock - and they head to where they can get a good look at the surrounding area, where - to Strongarm's wonderment and Sideswipe's annoyance, they see another piece of history: the ruined mesa that once housed [[Autobot Outpost Omega One]].

The team transforms to drive to the outpost, where Bumblebee warns them to be cautious, as they had left security systems operating when they abandoned the base. Waxing nostalgic about days of hiding from invading Decepticons and arm-wrestling with [[Bulkhead (Prime)|Bulkhead]], he muses that they should retrieve some of the "important artifacts" that were stored on the lower levels, levels they had kept secret even from the humans "for their own protection". However his reminiscing about having once kept a holodiary is cut short by Sideswipe's observation that a nearby "historic artifact" looks rather newer than it should be - and it is, in fact, a bomb.

After fighting off the indiscriminate security systems with the help of [[Jetstorm (RID)|Jetstorm]] and [[Slipstream (RID)|Slipstream]], Bumblebee calls to have Fixit start work on deciphering the bomb, while the team splits up to try and find who placed it. Bumblebee and Sideswipe head directly down into the base...

...where they stumble across a scorpion-like Decepticon who introduces himself as [[Paralon]], and declares that the base, and everything in it, is his by right of salvage. His partner, the [[Mini-Con]] [[Buzzstrike]], transforms into an Energon axe, and the Autobots marvel at the energy reading he's giving off, along with the fact he's powering up Paralon, before Sideswipe runs out of patience and charges. Bumblebee calls for backup as Sideswipe is sent flying, but the call is garbled when the others receive it, and they assume it was a normal check-in.

Elsewhere, Strongarm and Grimlock are exploring when Grimlock steps on something that goes ''click''. Alarmed, the two call Bumblebee for advice, only to find no response. Strongarm starts trying to decide exactly how to deal with what they're certain is a mine - much to Grimlock's discomfiture - as Drift, Jetstorm and Slipstream have their search route take them close enough to detect the sounds and flashing lights of combat, and charge in. Paralon is put on the defensive by Drift - but he throws Buzzstrike at Bumblebee, who catches him, and the Mini-Con immediately interfaces with him, taking control of his body and forcing him to attack Drift as Paralon makes quick work of the samurai's Mini-Cons.

Between them, Paralon and Buzzstrike take down the team; Paralon, worrying that the base could be swarming with Autobots at any moment, observes they don't have time to finish them off as he signals the bomb to accelerate its countdown. Buzzstrike balks, noting he didn't sign up to hurt people; Paralon tells him that anyone who gets in the way of [[Scavenger (RID 2015)|Scavengers]] has brought their fate on their own servos, and he transforms into scorpion mode, a pensive Buzzstrike climbing aboard as they hurry off to the central command center where they will be safe from the blast. Sideswipe comes to just in time to see them leave, and he decides to follow and take them down once and for all.

Strongarm, meanwhile, realizes she and Grimlock are in over their heads, and she transforms to find Bumblebee to solve the problem, in the process driving by the bomb and noting with shock that it's activating. She finds the others as they come to, and they rush back to the bomb. The interference from earlier is worse now, and they can't contact Fixit for advice; Bumblebee declares there is only one option left, and he activates his [[Decepticon Hunter]] and strides towards the bomb, raising the weapon...

Sideswipe catches up with Paralon and Buzzstrike as the scavengers discover a plasma rifle in the wreckage, bluffing that the others are right behind him, only to have his bluff cut short by an earthquake from the bomb's explosion. Recovering, he stuns Paralon, grabs the rifle and transforms, driving back into the base as Buzzstrike looks on thoughtfully.

Back with Bumblebee, Strongarm compliments him on his using the Decepticon Hunter to trigger the force shield trap to contain the bomb's explosion, then tells him that Grimlock needs his help ''now'', leaving Bee to sigh about how the day just keeps getting worse. Elsewhere, Paralon grouches about the base having so many levels, only to be ambushed by Sideswipe, who had ducked into the secret storage levels to hide. The two duel, Sideswipe knocking out the Decepticon once again - only to have Buzzstrike take over Paralon's unconsious body. He offers to let Sideswipe keep the weapon they'd found if they are allowed to go; the hot-headed Autobot counters that he intends to take the weapon ''and'' the scavengers in, sparking a fight that Buzzstrike-Paralon quickly wins...only to leave Sideswipe, and the weapon, sprawled on the floor as he turns to walk away.

Bumblebee finds Grimlock, the Dinobot having resigned himself to his fate, and pushes him off the 'mine'...explaining to the shocked Grimlock that they didn't ''place'' any mines when they left, and the click had just been his crushing an old armor buffer that [[Ratchet (WFC)|Ratchet]] had discarded. Strongarm finds Sideswipe coming to, informing him that everything is fine; he wonders why the scavengers didn't finish him off ''or'' take their prize...

...even as Buzzstrike releases Paralon from his control, letting the Decepticon come around in bewilderment. Buzzstrike spins a tale to the somewhat pissed scorpion about being surrounded by Autobots and thus having to run for it, without there being time to recover the plasma rifle. Paralon grudgingly accepts this, but he warns Buzzstrike not to say anything to "the others" about their failure, as he intends to be the greatest scavenger of all and it won't do to be laughed at. He pushes aside a false rock face to reveal the ramp of a Cybertronian scout-ship, which the two board, Buzzstrike still looking not quite convinced of their virtues.

Regrouping outside the base's ruins, Bumblebee compliments Sideswipe on his initiative; Sideswipe admits that knowing about history might have been helpful after all. Bee calls up Fixit - the interference having cleared - and gets the word that they are all-clear of Decepticon signals. Sideswipe then observes that he had grabbed an artifact on his way out, that he produces; Bumblebee panics at seeing the small disc, insisting it be handed over, but Sideswipe activates it - revealing it to be Bumblebee's old holodiary, showing the Autobot scout in legwarmers as he tried to make the Cybertronian equivalent of an exercise video. The team cracking up as Bee stammers for an explanation and then grabs for the device, the two Autobots scuffling and then transforming into car form to chase each other as the others resume laughing.

The Autobots speed along a road in search of a [[Decepticon]] fugitive, however when [[Bumblebee (WFC)|Bumblebee]] orders everyone off-road, [[Optimus Prime (WFC)|Optimus Prime]] disagrees and Bumblebee has to assert his authority over the team. The other Autobots discuss the changed dynamics since the away team returned. Learning of the concept of a "team within the team", [[Grimlock (RID 2015)|Grimlock]] decides to team up with [[Drift (RID)|Drift]], who is entirely unthrilled by the idea. Switching to bot mode, they head into the forest and encounter a panicked [[Clampdown (RID)|Clampdown]], who is closely followed by none other than [[Ratchet (WFC)|Ratchet]] accompanied by the Mini-Con [[Undertone]]. A reunion takes place before they move in on Clampdown.

Back at base, Clampdown is secured in a stasis pod. Ratchet explains that the new government on [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] blames Optimus for the widespread destruction on the planet, and that he was essentially exiled by assigning him to a job tracking down Decepticons. He has been brought to Earth in the pursuit of a Decepticon who he captured shortly before running into Clampdown and the Autobots. Optimus invites him to stay to help out, though it's Bumblebee who orders Drift and [[Sideswipe (RID)|Sideswipe]] to wake Clampdown to try and get intel. [[Strongarm (RID)|Strongarm]] observes that Bumblebee is having trouble with Optimus taking trying to take lead when Bumblebee is supposed to be team leader.

The Autobots attempt to interrogate Clampdown, but the Decepticon faints. Before they can do anything more, [[Fixit (RID)|Fixit]] reports an unidentified Cybertronian at the front gate. The Autobots prepare for a fight, the gate opens to reveal a damaged Fixit-style Mini-Con. After some repairs are made, Fixit introduces everyone to [[Toolbox]], who it turns out is another ''[[Alchemor]]'' guard. He reveals that part of the prison ship crashed off the coast of [[Crown City]], and the freed Decepticon prisoners promptly enslaved the Mini-Con guards with [[inhibitor collar]]s. The Cons, led by [[Scorponok (WFC)|Scorponok]], [[Saberhorn]] and [[Glowstrike]] began to repair the ship for use to plunder the galaxy, though the captured Scoponok, as Toolbox reveals, has now been replaced with [[Steeljaw (RID)|Steeljaw]].
On "Decepticon Island", Steeljaw calls Glowstrike and Saberhorn to him and reveals that he's managed to obtain the [[Decepticon Hunter]]s from the locked cabinet. The pair are pleased, until Steeljaw turns the weapons on them.

The Autobots are meanwhile brainstorming ways to tackle the island full of Decepticons. Getting help from Cybertron is out, and they don't have enough stasis pods for that many Cons, however they have [[cryo-gas]] from Windblade's stash, and Ratchet hits on the idea of using it to make a [[stasis bomb]]. Optimus gives orders and the Autobots split up, though Strongarm again tries to encourage Bumblebee to talk to Optimus about the leadership problem. Ratchet likewise talks to Optimus who feels under the circumstances he should lead, and changes the subject. The team hits on the idea of planting the bomb in the ''Alchemor''<nowiki>'s</nowiki> ventilation hub, though Bumblebee again butts heads with Optimus over the plan. Windblade comes up with a way to get the team onto the island — Grimlock is modified with Decepticon insignias and signals so he can pretend to be bringing a boatload of Autobot prisoners back, and one of Denny's boats is hauled out.

The Autobots head out onto the sea, pretending to be unconscious. Grimlock manages to make contact with the Decepticons, and the ''Alchemor'' decloaks, but when the guards become suspicious, Grimlock has to knock them out. The Autobots head into the ship, and are shocked by the number of Decepticons they find. When they encounter a large chamber in which Mini-Cons are being forced to work, their presence is given away by one of the slaves spotting Toolbox. Though Optimus wants to stay and free the Mini-Cons, Bumblebee is determined to complete the mission, however the delay while they argue means even more Decepticons pour into the room and surround them. Steeljaw arrives with the deposed leadership and welcomes them to the first outpost in his new [[Decepticon Empire]].

Though not much appears to be damaged, they move further in, and Drift's Mini-Cons ask their master if they've studied enough to be able to work by themselves. After Sideswipe points out they technically don't have to stay with Drift, the two Mini-Cons have an idea. Sideswipe's soon surrendering, however this is just a bluff — he, Jetstorm, and Slipstream swiftly take out the team tasked with capturing him. Stockade is still trying to contact the team when his troops report the results of the scan. With Drift's bluff exposed, Stockade and his Mini-Cons open fire on the cache entrance. Meanwhile Sideswipe reaches the bunker and starts helping get Optimus and Windblade out.

Stockade's forces manage to breach the cache, and though Jetstorm and Slipstream attempt to hold them off, several get through. Fortunately Drift has the cache's weaponry at his disposal and joins in the fighting, even in his injured state. Optimus and Windblade are finally free of the bunker, and with Sideswipe, they reinforce Drift and his Mini-Cons. Optimus and Stockade face off while the others deal with the Mini-Con army, and soon the Decepticons lie in disarray. Sideswipe manages to take out Stockade by firing Drift's Mini-Cons at him. Drift admits that his Mini-Cons performed admirably and their education is complete, however the pair insist on remaining as Drift's students. [[Grimlock (RID 2015)|Grimlock]] arrives through the [[GroundBridge]] in time to carry Drift back for repairs, and Optimus announces it's time they all returned the scrapyard.

Worried about what [[Starscream (WFC)|Starscream]] is doing with the captured [[Mini-Con]]s, they use the ship's internal cameras to spy on the [[Decepticon]] setting up in a laboratory. Starscream's furious that he only has six of the seven needed, but goes ahead with the merging procedure anyway, only for it to leave both him and the Mini-Cons screaming in agony. Bumblebee realizes they need to keep the last Mini-Con from Starscream.

[[Thermidor]] attempts to grab [[Optimus Prime (WFC)|Optimus]]'s [[Prime Decepticon Hunter]], only to instead receive a shock from the net restraining the Autobots, which then breaks. A fight ensues, however the four scavengers are able to hold their own thanks to the relics they've collected, until [[Tricerashot]] appears, transforms into weapon mode and jumps into [[Grimlock (RID 2015)|Grimlock]]'s hand. The duo proceed to take down the scavengers in seconds. As [[Strongarm (RID)|Strongarm]] restrains the prisoners, Tricerashot reveals he has a psychic link with the other Weaponizer Mini-Cons and felt their pain as they were abducted. He's luckily also able to track them, and starts leading the Autobots to Starscream's ship.

Starscream returns to the bridge, only to be jumped by Bumblebee and the Mini-Cons. After the scanner is damaged in the fight, the four Autobots head for the lab, only to run into Starscream's men again. [[Shadelock]] threatens to blast the Weaponizer Mini-Cons if Bumblebee takes another step, but Bumblebee simply calls his bluff. Moments later, Optimus's group arrives and Optimus carves a hole in the nearby hull to take the fight outside. When the Cons don't follow, [[Sideswipe (RID)|Sideswipe]] makes a hole in the roof of the lab so Grimlock can drop in, only to discover the Cons have gone. The Decepticons are outside, knocking out Optimus and [[Drift (RID)|Drift]]. Bumblebee, Sideswipe and Strongarm join the fight, and Slipstream and Jetstorm, wishing to prove themselves after Sideswipe is dismissive towards them, manage to take down Shadelock. When [[Roughedge]] tries to blast the pair, Sideswipe jumps in front of them, taking the shot. The fight is abruptly ended when Starscream zaps everyone with the [[Dark Star Saber]]. Taking Tricerashot, he returns to the lab and begins the linking process with all seven Mini-Cons.

Fixit, Jetstorm and Slipstream recover first, and head over to Sideswipe's motionless body, believing he's sacrificed himself by way of an apology. Fortunately Sideswipe still functions, however as they go to wake the others, Starscream, now fully fused with the seven Weaponizers, levitates out of the nearby ship. Sideswipe makes himself busy as a distraction while the three Mini-Cons head into the ship to look for something that might help. They find a console they can use to transmit a signal that will separate Starscream and his new power, so long as Starscream's in range. Sideswipe returns to the lab, drawing Starscream in. The signal causes Starscream to drop out of the air and separates [[Aerobolt]], however the Con manages to fly clear of the ship before they can free the others.

Aerobolt finds Optimus and links with him. The pair face off against the super-powered Starscream. Observing the battle from the ground, Shadelock and his buddies opt to cut and run, only to face the rest of Team Bee who flatten them as they try to flee. On Fixit's instruction, Optimus tries to lure Starscream back to the ship, but Starscream keeps a safe distance, until Bumblebee catches hold of his leg, having been tossed up by Grimlock. Starscream fights, but Bumblebee is quickly joined by Optimus and the rest of Team Bee, and the Con is dragged down until the Mini-Cons are separated from him. Starscream falls unconscious, the Dark Star Saber dropping from his hand, and is caught by Optimus.

Sideswipe officially apologizes to Fixit, Jetstorm and Slipstream, though they tell him his earlier actions were apology enough. Optimus stows Starscream and the captive bounty hunters in his ship, revealing that he hasn't been to [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] yet and is working with "some old friends" to investigate what has been going on there. Once Optimus takes off, Fixit reveals he's modified the Mini-Cons' suborbital ship for space travel, so Aerobolt and his companions are able to leave [[Earth]] at last. As Team Bee heads off to check out more Cybertronian sites, Jetstorm and Slipstream ask Drift if they can team up with Sideswipe for a while.

[[Bumblebee (WFC)|Bumblebee]] is manhandled onto the bridge of [[Starscream's ship]], where [[Starscream (WFC)|Starscream]] reflects on the good fortune he's had recently. After Starscream reveals that he intends to keep both Bumblebee and the captured [[Mini-Con]]s as hostages, despite the agreement, Bumblebee makes a break for it. Driving through the ship's corridors in search of the Mini-Cons, he's stopped by Starscream's men and, though he puts up a fight, [[Shadelock]] manages to stun him.

In the [[Vintage Salvage Depot for the Discriminating Nostalgist|scrapyard]], the rest of Team Bee has filled [[Optimus Prime (WFC)|Optimus Prime]] in on recent events. While [[Denny Clay|Denny]] and [[Russell Clay|Russell]] man the command center, the Autobots split up to search for Starscream.

With Bumblebee now more securely restrained, Starscream relates the story of how he managed to escape the [[Predacon (Prime)|Predacons]] back on [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] by finding some autoguns, and how he found a lab in [[Darkmount (Cybertron)|Darkmount]] containing the seven [[Weaponizer]] Mini-Cons. He believes that [[Megatron (WFC)|Megatron]]'s theory that linking all seven Mini-Cons with one host will give that host immense power will enable him to defeat his old master and conquer the galaxy. He starts scanning to try to find the Mini-Cons.

[[Sideswipe (RID)|Sideswipe]] and [[Strongarm (RID)|Strongarm]] strike gold in their search when they stumble on [[Tricerashot]] and [[Lancelon]], however as they're calling for backup, more of the Mini-Cons appear and the pair are soon under Mini-Con control. [[Grimlock (RID 2015)|Grimlock]] is first to arrive, and finds himself under attack by the Mini-Cons and his controlled friends. Grimlock momentarily pins his teammates against a tree with his tail, but quickly finds himself overwhelmed. The Mini-Cons are discussing their next step when Optimus arrives and forcibly separates [[Windstrike]] and [[Sawtooth (RID)|Sawtooth]] from Strongarm and Sideswipe. [[Aerobolt]] recognizes the Autobot leader, and the two groups cease fighting.

On Starscream's ship, [[Jetstorm (RID)|Jetstorm]] and [[Slipstream (RID)|Slipstream]] are having no luck in breaking through the [[force field]] on their cell until [[Fixit (RID)|Fixit]] suggests an alternate route. They manage to get Jetstorm up to a grate in the ceiling.

The Mini-Cons finish telling the Autobots their story, and Strongarm brings up the fact that she felt a power surge when Sawtooth linked to her, and Aerobolt says the full surge requires the trust and acceptance of both participants. He and Optimus attempt to link, however they're unsuccessful as Optimus does not trust Aerobolt enough. The group continues on their search for the captured Autobots, though Tricerashot is not altogether convinced about the arrangement.

While Starscream continues trying to track the Mini-Cons, Jetstorm reaches the bridge, though he makes so much noise that Bumblebee has to distract Starscream by baiting the Seeker into further monologing so the Mini-Con can get to cover.

As the group of Autobots and Mini-Cons walks, Tricerashot expresses his misgivings to Buzzstrike, who points out Tricerashot himself thought he felt something when he tried to link to Grimlock. Though Tricerashot's thinking of going it alone, Buzzstrike convinces him to stay with the group. The group is halted when they run into [[Scavenger (RID 2015)|the Scavengers]], who demand the Mini-Cons. The scavengers pull out the relics they've found and the Autobots begin fighting. As the Mini-Cons discuss linking with their Autobot allies, Tricerashot slinks off, however Sawtooth decides to take the initiative and transforms to weapon mode, jumping into Strongarm's hand and allowing her to knock Paralon flying.

Starscream detects the power surge, and starts piloting his ship towards the source.

After knocking down Paralon, Strongarm and Sawtooth link properly and make short work of Scatterspike, however when they separate and Sawtooth is injured by Thermador, the other Mini-Cons go to the aid of their comrade. Clawtrap uses a relic to capture the five Autobots in an energy web, leaving them helpless, however as he prepares to do the same with the Mini-Cons, Starscream's ship appears overhead and snatches the Mini-Cons up in a tractor beam before flying off, Starscream gloating to Bumblebee that he's finally won.

[[Bumblebee (WFC)|Bumblebee]]'s team is having a video conference — currently they are scattered at different sites around the world where there has been Cybertronian activity, placing beacons to alert them if the [[Scavenger (RID 2015)|Scavengers]] search for tech there. [[Fixit (RID)|Fixit]] lets Bumblebee know there's no news on news on [[Optimus Prime (WFC)|Optimus's]] arrival. [[Grimlock (RID 2015)|Grimlock]] is annoyed that he's been sent to a mountain monastery with only one beacon to set up, but as Bumblebee explains, he's limited to one mission due his being a bit accident-prone lately. When the conference ends, an irritated Grimlock punches the monastery wall in frustration, the noise causing a small avalanche that unearths a cave and attracting the attention of [[Gunter|a friendly monk]] who invites him inside for pretzels.

Inside the monastery, Grimlock tries to convince the monk that he's just a hallucination, but to his surprise, the monk is completely unconcerned by his appearance. He explains how he messed things up while helping out his friends earlier by rushing in, and the monk suggests that the problem might be that Grimlock needs to learn patience. Grimlock asks if the monk can teach him patience; the monk says he can, but he asks that Grimlock first help him make some pretzels.

Outside, a [[GroundBridge]] portal opens up as [[Thermidor]] and his Mini-Con companion [[Tricerashot]] arrive. Grousing angrily about Clawtrap stealing his ship, Therimdor scans for Cybertronian tech and spots the nearby cave.

Bumblebee contacts Fixit for a status report, however [[Denny Clay|Denny]] and [[Russell Clay|Russell]]'s cleanup of Grimlock's mess is not going well. He checks in with Grimlock, only to be confused by the latter saying he's busy making pretzels with Brother Gunter.

A tremor from the catacombs leads the pair to investigate. There, Thermidor has located a relic which he intends to use to take his ship back from Clawtrap, however he's about to grab it when Grimlock and Gunter arrive. Despite Gunter's warning that the room is unstable, Grimlock rushes in and when he attacks Thermidor, the roof collapses on him. Thermidor is about to claim his treasure when Brother Gunter shoves a shelfcase on top of him. Tricerashot reluctantly follows Thermidor's order to transform to blaster mode so the scavenger can blast Gunter, but Grimlock manages to free himself in time to save the human. Recalling Gunter's lesson in patience, Grimlock pauses to contact Bumblebee for help before resuming the fight. Thermidor manages to grab the Cybertronian artifact, an energy gauntlet that allows him to knock Grimlock flying. The rest of Team Bee arrives, and in the ensuing battle, Tricerashot attempts to take control of Grimlock, but finds himself unable to. Thermidor knocks down the Autobots and flees with Tricerashot.

Bumblebee is disappointed that Grimlock's blown his cover, but Gunter promises to keep his silence. While the other Autobots go after Thermidor, Grimlock pauses to apologize for not heeding Gunter's warning about the unstable cavern. Thermidor meanwhile contacts Clawtrap to find that his ship's GroundBridge is out, leaving him and Tricerashot to fend for themselves. Grimlock emerges on the mountainside and tries to tell Bumblebee to wait for him before he starts climbing down the mountain, however the other Autobots are already pursuing the scavenger. Thermidor manages to take out [[Drift (RID)|Drift]], [[Sideswipe (RID)|Sideswipe]] and [[Strongarm (RID)|Strongarm]], before leading Bumblebee to a ski lift, intending to snap one of the poles if the Autobot doesn't let him go. Eventually, Bumblebee charges him only for Thermidor to knock him down and then go to break the pole anyway. Tricerashot protests that it's unnecessary as they've already won, and is about to charge his partner when Grimlock arrives and lays into Thermidor. The pair are unaware that they're being observed by [[Shadelock|another Decepticon]], who reports on the fight via comm to [[Starscream (WFC)|Starscream]]. The battle is going in Grimlock's favor, until Thermidor manages to knock him back with the energy gauntlet. Tricerashot 'accidentally' trips up Thermidor as he moves in to finish Grimlock off, and the Dinobot, recalling Gunter's lessons in patience, is able to dodge Thermidor's attacks and deprive him of the gauntlet. The scavenger and his Mini-Con are pulled through a GroundBridge as Grimlock checks on Bumblebee, though the gauntlet is left behind. While Bumblebee is disappointed the Scavengers got away, Grimlock notes that the Mini-Con seemed reluctant to fight.

The others arrive and compliment Bumblebee on his work, but he gives the credit to Grimlock. Impressed with the patience that Grimlock finally learned, Bumblebee attempts to learn to make pretzels from Gunter, and as it turns out he's as slow a learner as Grimlock is.
