Well, Soundwave's character model shows up in Armada (and Beast Machines, for that matter). And while neither are clearly the actual dude, I think they're worth mentioning, long as "they're clearly not the actual dude" is stated. As for MW and TFU... well, the MW toy is blatabtly G1 Soundwave, and Starscream's e-hobby bio DOES pplace the Machine Wars in G1. TFU... worth NOTING, I think, making sure to state that there really is no fictional evidence that TFU Sounwave is G1 Soundy or even an alt-universe doppelganger, but that "alt-universe dollepganger" is the sfaest bet. - M "I Find That Holds True For Most TFU uys Who Never Got Fiction" Sipher
I think this needs a significant rewrite. It seems to be more about what he's like rather than what he did. Also, I want to add in the Madman comic story which is set firmly in the cartoon continuity, in the year 2001, so it's after Season 2, but before the movie. Derik suggested splitting the cartoon section up into season 1 & 2, put the Madman comic below that, then continue the movie and later seasons below Madman. ::::Historically, we don't do "inquels" as actually interrupting the flow of a specific continuity. For example, to apply your suggestion to the Beast Wars, it'd look like this:
I disagree with this edit, but, rather than just revert it I figured I should post a comment to see if anybody has an opinion. I think that these multi-linked phrases are a bad idea in general because they obfuscate what is being linked to, as well as the fact that there is more than one link. I think they serve some practical use in snark articles, but should be avoided in general. In this particular case, I personally think it is more important that there be a link to Mini-Cassette than to any individual cassette's page, especially since the cassette article itself links to all of them. A "list of Soundwave's cassettes" could be added to this article, but, that would be redundant with the cassette article and I would prefer to avoid that. --Steve-o 21:43, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
:I just felt that it was a good way to get some of them linked into the article. If you feel that strongly about it, I wont revert it back. -- SFH 21:47, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
::Okey-doke. --Steve-o 22:42, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

:I'm with Steve. It's more important that we link to the Mini-cassette artical because that covers ALL of them, rather than the confusing and peacemeal way it is now. Change it.
Big Brother?
While bored at work and idly poking around the wiki, I spotted that Trivia comment at the bottom about Soundwave's cassettes calling him "Big Brother." Out of idle curiosity, I'm wondering, did they call him "onii-san," or "aniki"? Just cause the latter can mean brother, but is also used in gang slang, where it means "boss," and that would make a lot more sense here... (Cancer, for example, called Wilder "aniki.") - Chris McFeely (not signed in)
Cartoon section
I think this needs a significant rewrite. It seems to be more about what he's like rather than what he did. Also, I want to add in the Madman comic story which is set firmly in the cartoon continuity, in the year 2001, so it's after Season 2, but before the movie. Derik suggested splitting the cartoon section up into season 1 & 2, put the Madman comic below that, then continue the movie and later seasons below Madman. Opinions? --FFN 15:30, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
:Anybody? --FFN 17:16, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
::I think Derik is full of sage advice, and should be followed at all times. -Derik 17:22, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
:::Yeah, but people here have a tendancy to spaz-out when you do something without their 2 cents, even if they never bothered to discuss it with you in the first place. So I want to get people's opinions before I make a significant change to the cartoon sections of several major characters, so I don't waste a bunch of time if somebody reverts my changes. --FFN 17:53, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
::::Historically, we don't do "inquels" as actually interrupting the flow of a specific continuity. For example, to apply your suggestion to the Beast Wars, it'd look like this:
*Marvel comic continuity, issue 1, up through page 6 or so
*Beast Wars
*Marvel comic continuity, issue 1, page 7, through issue 80
::::It might be a bad precedent, particularly if we get a lot of inquels in the future. Something I might get behind is putting in a note, which says, "The events of the Madman comic, below, take place at this point." JW 18:02, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

:::::That sounds suspiciously like Derik's other proposed solution.
:::::Again- filled with sage advice. (The sage covers the scent of bullshit.) -Derik 18:41, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
::::::[raised eyebrow] Since I apparently didn't read the page on which this other proposed solution was mentioned, I was unaware our minds were following similar (brilliant) paths. JW 19:02, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
:::::::I should point out that G1 Prime's article is already split up into several sections in his cartoon continuity - Season 1,2, Japanese off-screen crap, Movie, Season 3/4 (for some reason also called 2010. If this is not a good trend, then I suggest somebody do a MAJOR cleanup operation. --FFN 18:15, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
::::::::I'm not big into that setup on Prime's page, to be honest. Since American and Japanese continuities have recently become very different animals courtesy of all the extra stuff that has been jammed into the five-year gap that doesn't exist in America, I'm inclined towards separate headers for "american animated continuity" and "Japanese animated continuity," and to go from there. I did this recently with... uh, something, but I forget what article it was... - Chris McFeely 20:57, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
I'd like to point out that Beast Wars is set in its own G1 continuity that takes elements from both the comic and the cartoon. —Interrobang 19:17, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
:Yah, it was just an example. JW 19:34, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
Dreamwave G1
In the trivia section, it says Soundwave never said a word in Dreamwave outside The War Within, however, in the Prime Directive miniseries, he warns Megatron of an incoming nuclear missile. I can't remember exactly, but he may have said 'affirmative' or something like it earlier in the miniseries.--IWantTheirHeads 20:11, 29 November 2009 (EST)
Break Dancing Video
I'm wondering if it would be a good bit of trivia to add the (surely at least infamous) video a fan made of Soundwave break dancing? The video is here and what I've thrown together as an idea for the trivia entry is here. I cobbled some from the mention of it in Soundwave's Wikipedia article, though I reworded it a little (like the robot really isn't "purely" white, for one thing).
