At some point, the [[Guncon]] Rapidfire was rescued by the [[time travel]]ling [[Mortilus|Necrobot]] from dying alongside the rest of his [[subgroup]] and was brought to [[Necroworld]], where he inhabited a stasis capsule for the rest of the war. After being awakened from his slumber, Rapidfire was not happy about a present where the Autobots won, and conspired with his fellow Decepticon, [[Fangry (G1)|Fangry]], in order to make it right. {{storylink|Dissolution Part 1: Some Other Cybertron|Some Other Cybertron}} When Fangry got his aft handed to him by the enraged [[Tailgate (G1)|Tailgate]] for hurting [[Cyclonus (G1)/2005 IDW continuity|Cyclonus]], Rapidfire and two other Decepticons came to his aid but were scared off when the Minibot asked if they wanted a piece of him too, Rapidfire commenting that Fangry wasn't worth it. {{storylink|Dissolution Part 2: Anomie|Anomie}}

Later, Rapidfire (who hadn't bothered to alert anyone Fangry was injured!) watched as Fangry was given surgery and generally acted concerned. He informed the doctors that Tailgate had done the deed. {{storylink|Dissolution Part 5: Modes of Production|Modes of Production}}

Much later, Rapidfire and the rest of the Decepticon contingent on Necroworld had taken over, evidently killing off many of the Autobots. Rapidfire took to wearing the Necrobot's cloak.

When [[Fortress Maximus (G1)/2005 IDW continuity|Fortress Maximus]] and his crew arrived, tracking a distress signal, Rapidfire's reign was cut short and his supporters gunned down. Confronted by [[Red Alert (G1)|Red Alert]] and [[Cerebros (G1)|Cerebros]], he took [[Scrounge (G1)|Scrounge]] hostage and ordered the two to kneel. They complied... giving Red Alert the clear shot he needed to blow Rapidfire's head to bits with a back-mounted rocket launcher. Red Alert then took the Necrobot's cloak from his corpse. {{storylink|Sardines}}

*Apart from his face and chest, Rapidfire is modeled on [[Stockade (Movie)#Toys|Stockade]] from the [[Transformers (2007 toyline)|first live-action movie toyline]], bearing an SUV alt-mode and all the vehicle kibble hallmarks of a nigh-on identical transformation.

Born on [[Caminus (planet)|Caminus]], Proxima was in a sorority with [[Nautica (G1)|Nautica]] and [[Firestar (G1)|Firestar]]. According to Nautica, she is in a relationship with [[Acceleron]]. {{storylink|The Sensuous Frame}} She was a qualified cinematographer with a minor in photography. {{storylink|Starscream: The Movie (comic)|Starscream: The Movie}}

Proxima joined up with the crew of the ''[[Vis Vitalis]]'' when the ship she was on became stranded. She served aboard the ''Vis Vitalis'' under the command of its new first officer, [[Firestar (G1)|Firestar]], due to [[Thunder Clash|Thunderclash]]'s declining health. After the parasites that were draining Thunderclash of his life were discovered and disposed of, the ''Vis Vitalis'' was no longer necessary to sustain his life, and he recovered to the point that he joined the crew of the ''[[Lost Light]]''. The ''Vis Vitalis'' was then given to Firestar to take its Camien crew back to their homeworld. Proxima and [[Roadmaster]] readied the ship for departure as Firestar and Nautica said their farewells. {{storylink|The Frail Gaze}}

After returning to Caminus, Proxima made her way to [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] in time for the [[Iron Ring]]'s invasion. After [[Thundercracker (G1)/2005 IDW continuity|Thundercracker]] had been hired to write [[Starscream: The Movie (film)|a biographical film]] about [[Starscream (G1)/2005 IDW continuity|Starscream]], Proxima was hired as cinematographer, where it quickly became apparent that her boss didn't quite understand camera lightings and effects. Proxima lacked her employer's enthusiasm at the project, being mostly concerned with whether or not she would be paid, before [[Swift (G1)|Swift]] arrived to inform everyone that Starscream had been arrested for multiple crimes. Proxima was ready to throw in the towel at that news before Thundercracker insisted they had just gotten the perfect ending for their script. After the film was made, Thundercracker rewarded "Team Starscream" with gift baskets as tokens of his affection and gratitude.
