:Hmmm...This episode is ridiculous, but I don't think it's the "worst ever," because it's at least entertaining in an unintentionally-comic way. There are way duller episodes out there (like "Face of the Ninjika"--and I think Blurr's lava orgasm is way more creepy than anything else in the series--well maybe not Prime's "Ahh" while coma raping Elita One (to save her life!)). "Canrnage in C-Minor" is another popular choice for "worst ever," and it's hard to argue with that one on multiple levels. We've also got a pair of Season 3 episodes that involve magic, Dark Ages castles and dragons, and a butler Grimlock (can you tell I abhor Season 3?). Then there's just all-around bad ideas like "Sea Change," spotlighting one of the characters who I'd hate to listen to for 22 minutes, then making him a lovesick Merman that STILL talks like that. --Skywarp, 8/14/13 12:31PM EDT.

Aren't we kind of taking it too far with all the "worst episode" stuff? I mean, almost everyone agrees it's silly, but all the episodes cheat and have animation errors, and the plot really isn't any worse than any other cheesy 1980s cartoon. Bear in mind that, as the summary says, it's not the Decepticons broadcasting their conversations to be "received and decrypted" - it's going by what Brawl hears, which makes at least a ''little'' more sense. The more I think about it, the less an all-capitals bold-and-italics statement like that seems right - not any more, at least, than it would be for all the other myriad problems listed with the episode. Rather than have two nav boxes on one page, if we're integrating the Japanese cartoon run into the American run (which makes sense), could we get a two-series nav box for the cartoons, much like we have for [[Second Generation!|the comics]]?
:I don't really know if that's possible. While the insertion of new Japanese episodes intp the US run is comparable to the insertion of new UK material into the US comics run, this isn't the only consideration. The Japanese series actually puts the US episodes in a ''different order''. Like... in American continuity, "Fire in the Sky" comes after "Divide and Conquer," and is followed by "SOS Dinobots," but in Japan, it comes after "Masquerade," and is followed by "Fire on the Mountain." :Late response, but also on a note, the end of the season tends to be where "filler crap they couldn't squeeze anywhere else" got dumped before shows started using multi-parters or cliffhanger episodes to book-end their series'. I remember reading that bit from a Flint Dille excerpt for '''Visionaries''' (probably a DVD extra). He was wondering why on Earth the last episode of that series was so unrelated to.. well, anything. Apparently season/series enders that aren't cliffhangers can't be winners.
