When they tackle a fantasy simulation that pits them against a fire-breathing dragon, the Recruits learn that the obvious answer isn't always the right one.

Synopsis
The recruits look around a mountainous desert region for the mysterious task they're meant to be accomplishing. Hoist is more interested in reading about dragons. Finally the recruits spot a speeding car and reason they need to stop it. Hoist and Whirl go to set up a road block, but Hoist is so distracted that he lets the car past and has to rope it with his tow line, resulting in it losing its rear axle. Unfortunately it turns out they've failed the simulation as the driver was a doctor racing to perform a life-saving operation. Heatwave attempts to lecture them on making snap judgements, but they're all distracted by Hoist's detailed dragon information. Realizing that the recruits are too distracted to learn, Heatwave sets up a new simulation.

The recruits suddenly find themselves near a castle with a dragon flying overhead. They head into the castle to shelter, and encounter a knight who tells them that the king is on his way back and may face danger from the dragon. The recruits decide their task must be to get rid of the dragon and make the roads safe for the king's return. Hot Shot and Whirl attempt to lure the dragon away from the road, but it fails to take the bait. Wedge and Hoist manage to lasso the beast and secure it to a nearby rock. The simulation, however, doesn't end, meaning that they haven't accomplished the mission.

Retiring to the castle, the recruits puzzle over what it is they may have missed. Recalling the earlier lesson about not making judgements based on appearances, they head out to find the spot that the dragon had been breathing fire at and find a broken-down carriage. In a nearby hollow, they find the King, who explains that the dragon had been trying to keep him warm. After returning the King to the castle, the recruits free the dragon and the simulation ends. Heatwave is glad they learned the lesson, but Hoist is once again distracted by the information he's found on ogres.
Trivia
*In an unusual turn for Transformers, Medix appears to break the fourth wall and address the viewer when commenting on Hot Shot's comment that leading the dragon away from the road will be too easy.
When the Bots become stranded in space while making repairs on the Asgard, the Recruits have to figure out who does what in order to perform a daring rescue.

Synopsis
The Rescue Bots are prepping the Sigma for launch, watched by the recruits who express their keenness to go along on the mission. Heatwave says the mission to the Asgard is too dangerous for a first space mission, and instead suggests they watch the mission on the monitors. Once the ship launches, the recruits decide the idea of watching the monitors doesn't hold much appeal, and instead split up to attend to their own activities. Later on, they're alarmed when the landing alert sounds, and the Sigma returns. The recruits venture inside, though Medix insists on contacting Chief Burns as per Heatwave's orders. The recruits find the ship deserted, with a map showing the destination location on the screen. Despite Medix's misgivings, the other recruits believe it's a message they need to take the ship and rescue their teachers.

There's some disagreement over who's doing what, with Wedge and Hot Shot fighting over the pilot seat. Hot Shot manages to launch the ship, however an argument breaks out, which Hoist has to break up. Medix produces the instruction manual for the ship and manages to bring the map display back up, at which point the recruits realize there are asteroids incoming. Working together, the recruits are able to follow the instructions in the manual and avoid the asteroids.

They soon arrive at the Asgard, where they find Heatwave and his team have gotten stuck outside when the Asgard started rotating again. Hot Shot releases the winch and uses his sonic blaster to manouvre his way over to the teachers, successfully picking them up. Heatwave explains he remotely commanded the ship to return to Earth though he wasn't sure the recruits would figure out what to do. Heatwave and the other teachers hit the stasis pods to recover, leaving the recruits to pilot them home.
The Bots experience their first Halloween and Wedge goes dressed up as Bumblebee. However, his 'heroic' behavior backfires when the Recruits respond to a fire rescue.

Synopsis
A massive crack appears in Griffin Rock dam, but not to worry as the Rescue Bots Heatwave, Boulder, Chase, Blades and Wedge are on hand to save the day. Unfortunately, Wedge's attempt to reach the off valve by scaling the dam ends in failure when he's hit by a jet of water and falls off, and he ends the simulation in frustration. Medix inquires what he's up to, and he explains that he likes to train by taking Bumblebee's role in rescue missions, though Medix points out he has a very different skill set from Bumblebee.

The two join the other recruits, who are alarmed by a news broadcast stating Milford will be overrun by monsters and ghosts. Cody arrives in a ghost costume and explains Halloween to the recruits, showing them a room he has already set up with Halloween decorations. Whirl carves a Rescue Bot pumpkin, while Wedge is particularly taken by the idea of dressing up in costume. Cody suggests it'll be safe for the recruits to attend in bot form, as they'll be mistaken for trick-or-treaters.

The recruits assemble at the GroundBridge, with Wedge arriving last dressed in a homemade Bumblebee costume. They're soon roaming suburban Milford, trick or treating and collecting candy. Wedge is excited when a small boy asks him for a photo, but is disappointed when the kid turns out to just want a picture with his friends. Cody is bemused when it turns out Hoist has thrown the candy away and is collecting the wrappers. Hot Shot attempts to stop a wolfman from attacking children, but naturally it's just another trick-or-treater. In the process, Hot Shot accidentally knocks over a jack-o'-lantern, the candle from which sets fire to a house and endangers the family inside. The recruits swing into action, but Wedge's attempt to storm into the house Bumblebee-style is unsuccessful, and he has to be pulled to safety by Hoist. They come up with a new plan to zip-line the family to safety, and Wedge, using his own skill set, puts the fire out by using a nearby fire hydrant. The small child asks for another photo, this time with Wedge in the picture.

As a fire engine hauls up, the recruits head back to the Academy, where Heatwave is waiting for them. Having seen footage of the rescue, he commends them on their work and reminds them about the importance of being themselves... before giving them a Halloween scare from Tough Luck Chuck dressed as a ghost.

Synopsis
Wedge is watching Heroes of Cybertron when it features Heatwave. Hot Shot makes fun of Heatwave's angry face, only for the real thing to appear and announce he and Cody have to join the other Rescue Bots off-planet. The recruits are overjoyed that they'll get to be on their own, without teacher supervision. Once Heatwave and Cody leave, the recruits go to take part in some leisure activities, but Medix reveals that the list of tasks Heatwave's left them is extremely long. They accomplish the first task — zipline training — but when Hot Shot grouses that there must be a faster way, it spurs Hoist to work.

The other recruits meanwhile have ticked off another three tasks. Hoist reveals the Scrub-A-Dubber, a cleaning robot that immediately sets to work. Leaving it to do its thing, the recruits start on their bandaging lesson, though Medix thinks Tough Luck Chuck would be a more appropriate subject than Hot Shot. Wedge inserts another power pod into the Scrub-A-Dubber so it'll go faster. After he mentions to Hot Shot that the robot can go faster, Hot Shot has the same idea, and also inserts a power pod into it. Medix also adds one, and some time later Whirl finds the robot bashing itself against a bench. Believing it just needs more juice, she adds another three power pods.

The recruits pause in their exercise outside the academy, and Hoist thinks perhaps he should go change the Scrub-A-Dubber's power cell, but the others assure him it's not necessary, oblivious to the havoc the robot is now causing inside. The recruits finally come to the last item on the list — a volcano simulation — and find Hero Hall is full of soap suds. It swiftly becomes obvious the Scrub-A-Dubber is to blame, and the other recruits own up to having added more power cells to it. The recruits start chasing the rogue robot, only to be foiled by its constant spray of soapy liquid. They eventually hit on the idea of confusing it by showing it a lot of garbage, and Hoist deactivates it. Unfortunately the place is now even more of a mess, and the recruits are forced to clean it themselves, before Heatwave and Cody return. Heatwave is impressed by the results, until he opens his office door and discovers the Scrub-A-Dubber.
Boulder leads the class on an underwater ocean clean-up mission, but the recruits are so busy competing with each other, they stumble into danger.

Synopsis
Boulder announces that today he's got something different for the recruits to do, and hands out claw tools. The recruits are puzzled until Boulder reveals they're going to be picking up trash and suggests they make it a competition. They head to Griffin Rock park where he gives them an hour. One chaotic hour later, and it turns out only Wedge has managed to collect much in the way of trash. Boulder awards him the post of leader on the next cleanup mission.

Back at the academy, Hoist reveals that he's tricked out his grabber and it's now the "Grand Garbage Grabber", which incorporates a powerful electromagnet to bring the trash to him. Boulder announces it's time for their next cleanup mission and leads them through the GroundBridge to a raft on the ocean. Wedge takes up his leadership role, and the eager recruits dive into the sea to start retrieving the trash on the sea floor. Unfortunately when Wedge pauses in his clean up, he finds chaos has once again ensued—Hot Shot and Whirl are unclear on what constitutes trash, and Medix is somehow having a tea party with some fish.

After some words of leadership from Wedge, Hoist activates his garbage grabber, which pulls him over to a nearby shipwreck. As they puzzle over how to get this into a basket, a shark appears, which Medix dubs Frederico and assumes can help them with the cleanup, but instead the shark traps him in the side of the ship. The other recruits reason that the shark's just protecting its home, and clean up all the trash in the vicinity. While the shark is inspecting the nearly cleared area, they grab Medix and use Whirl's arm rotors to make a swift exit. Back on the boat, Wedge points out there's still trash at the bottom of the sea to be picked up, though as the shark's still around, maybe they can do it later.
When Wedge rashly challenges Hot Shot to a one-on-one challenge, he worries that he doesn't have the skills to win.

Synopsis
Wedge shows off his Heroes of Cybertron trading cards. As he's warning the others that some of the cards are delicate, Hot Shot flies in and accidentally scatters the pile of cards with his jet mode. The recruits dream of getting their own cards, and when Hot Shot says he'll try anything, even construction, to do so, Wedge ends up challenging him to a contest with one construction and one Cube challenge. Hoist volunteers Hot Shot's Cube trophy as the prize, and Hot Shot agrees, confident he'll win. Wedge is soon similarly agreeing to putting up his Heroes of Cybertron card collection as a prize.

They set up for the first construction challenge, with Whirl and Medix providing commentary and Hoist acting as referee. Whirl and Medix don't fancy Hot Shot's chances. Indeed, Wedge easily wins round one, swiftly constructing a wall, however Hot Shot manages to tie the score by using his water blasters to dig the required hole for round two. As they start the last task, knocking the wall down to fill in the hole, Wedge has a strong start until Hot Shot uses his afterburners to completely demolish his wall. Hot Shot is declared winner of the construction challenge and Wedge is demoralized. Though he believes he has no chance of winning the Cube round, Hot Shot talks him into persevering.

As they start the Cube challenge, Whirl goes over the rules. Hot Shot scores the first point, and though Wedge obviously can't jump around, he manages to score using his power drivers. They both score another point apiece, but it still looks like the more agile Hot Shot is going to win, until Wedge transforms and catches the cube in his scoop. Hot Shot points out that if Wedge hadn't tried, he'd never have known he could win. They agree to leave the competition at a tie. Hot Shot returns Wedge's card collection, and Hoist reveals he's made custom trading cards of the two competitors.
Part of Heatwave's team of Rescue Bots, Chase was the fastest, but also careful. They received a message from Optimus Prime, prompting them to travel to Earth in their spaceship (with Chase piloting, of course) to join the Autobot leader. Once there, Chase received a new police car alternate mode, and Optimus took them to Griffin Rock to meet Chief Charlie. Rescue Bots Roll Out Some time later, Chase and Boulder were on their way to Prime Fire Station to join the team when they happened upon a flash flood at a construction site. Using a ramp propped up by Boulder, Chase was able to jump across to two trapped humans, and the Rescue Bots got the construction worker to safety, but a freak wave swept Chase and Hunter downstream. With Hunter's guidance, Chase grabbed onto a tree felled by Boulder, and the four of them made it to the fire station, where Hunter joined the team as Chase's partner. Rapid Rescue
After dropping the bombshell that Cybertron was no more, Optimus assigned the team to Griffin Rock to work with the Burns family. The four Rescue Bots were presented to the public by Chief Burns at a ceremony, after which Burns drove Chase to the museum, where a fire had broken out, and began clearing people from the area. Chase and the other Rescue Bots were put out when Blades started hogging all the action with his new scoop claw, but they nonetheless came to his rescue when he, Dani and Cody were trapped by a forest fire. Hotshots

When Doc Greene was almost swept away by a giant lobster balloon, Chase tried fruitlessly to help. He and the other Rescue Bots were subsequently given more instruction on following humans' commands, which Chase excelled at. They also took part in the technology parade at the Lobster and Technology Festival and had to help out when the parade was attacked by flobsters. Flobsters on Parade After Chase prevented a hazardous chemical spill, but almost blew his cover, he expected a reprimand and instead got praised. He and the other Rescue Bots were subjected to a screening of The Natives of Tatooie, which inadvertently caused a panic when Huxley Prescott mistook the movie's audio for an alien transmission, resulting in the team having to save the island from destruction. The Alien Invasion of Griffin Rock
Chase responded to two separate calls from Mrs. Neederlander about a cat up a tree, though the second time it turned out to be a lion. The hunt for the lion was interrupted by lemurs attacking the Mayor Luskey Library, and Chase ended up helping Boulder and Heatwave return the critters to the zoo. Walk on the Wild Side While trying to stop Mr. Harrison's heli-pack ride, Chase's pursuit route was blocked by boxes. He and the other Rescue Bots went to Cody's aid when some nanites took over a Scrapmaster, however the trash device failed to respect Chase's authority. He and the other bots managed to stop it anyway and eventually suppressed the nanites. Cody on Patrol

Chase was unable to stop a motorist from busting through their barricade and ending up crashing. Cody roped the Rescue Bots into helping him take care of a Robo-Baby, which didn't like Chase's singing at all. This turned out to be to their advantage when they later needed to stop the Robo-Baby from falling off a platform. Four Bots and a Baby During a heatwave, Chase didn't approve of Frankie and Cody selling lemonade without a license. He didn't quite get what the fuss was about when the humans engineered a snow storm using a weather machine, and everyone seemed to be having fun, but later got into the spirit of things by making snow angels. Christmas in July

Chase and the other Rescue Bots were invited on the Burns' annual fishing trip on the Darby Ava, during which they encountered and fought a mechanical shark. Deep Trouble (RB) Chase found the fog to be very unpleasant, especially when it made it hard to see the mailboxes on Willow Street. When the Griffin Rock mainframe was hacked into, the Rescue Bots had to try and stop the out-of-control technology running rampant. Return of the Dino Bot He struggled to reconcile the concept of compassionate policing. When Doctor Morocco turned up with his MorBot and threatened to overshadow the Rescue Bots, the team was forced to compete with the doctor's invention to prove themselves worthy. Thanks to Morocco's machinations, they failed and were stood down from service. The Other Doctor Chase began to investigate alternate career options and tried his hand at being a gourmet chef, though he turned out to be as good at it as he was at singing. After being called out to a fire at the lab, they got the chance to exact some payback on the MorBot. The team was subsequently reinstated as Griffin Rock's rescue service. The Reign of Morocco

Chase turned down a visit to the Hall of Inspiration in favor of some speed trap detail. He later got the chance to see it when the team attended a break-in, and he apprehended the pair responsible. The disappearance of the three other Rescue Bots left him on his own, until he showed Cody a picture of the gun they'd been zapped with, and Cody recognized it. As a result, they were able to get Doc Greene to fix the Minimizer and restore Heatwave, Boulder and Blades. Small Blessings Chase helped save Captain Wild's ship and search for "tunnel 15" in the tunnels below Griffin Rock. This led the team to discover Professor Baranova's Midgard at the bottom of an ocean trench, and they helped her seal the methane vent causing the Griffin Rock Triangle. The Griffin Rock Triangle

After the daring rescue of Huxley Prescott by the four bots, Chief Burns and Cody headed off to Griffin Crest, leaving them with strict orders not to cross Canyon Road which Chase was determined to obey. He also found the Lad Pioneers Handbook among the camping equipment and began reading up on its contents. When an apparent distress call from Cody had the four bots head to the Crest, Chase refused to go past Canyon Road, and ended up faking a litter emergency to get the human half of the team to come help after losing contact with the other three Rescue Bots. They found that the others had fallen afoul of an EMP field, and Chase ended up using a bubble tent to rescue Heatwave from the Old Parker geyser. Rules and Regulations Chase and the other three Bots were washed out to sea with Cody and ended up on an inhabited island. Their attempts to build him shelter and gather food were less than successful, but they did manage to find traces of the Oaken Crow, which led to them finding the ship and getting off the island. The Lost Bell

Chasing a crashed meteorite on Wayward Island, the team ran into Bumblebee. Chase, Heatwave and Boulder checked out the meteorite and were unwittingly exposed to an alien virus. They slowly became to lose the ability to move or speak, and it was only through the work of Bumblebee, Blades and the humans that a cure was found. Bumblebee to the Rescue (RB) Chase and the team were called out to deal with a giant blob of Squilsh. Chase and the Chief tried to save some kids, and while protecting the Chief from the Squilsh, Chase was swallowed by it. He was barely able to communicate with the outside world on his comm, but the others eventually found a way to destroy the space goo, freeing him. You've Been Squilshed

When most of the town was teleported away by strange bugs, Chase caught one for Graham to examine. Back at the fire station, the bots had their work cut out for them squashing bugs, but they were eventually able to track down where the townsfolk had been teleported to and rescue them. Countdown (RB) Chase's main problem with an apparent infestation of ghosts was their complete inability to follow any laws, and the fact they floated straight through him when he tried to stop them. They later turned out to be holograms. The Haunting of Griffin Rock

He was disturbed by Burns lying to the rest of the team about where they were going, though the Chief pointed out that Chase lied when he pretended to be a normal robot. He and the Chief ended up trapped in a lead mine and had to make their own way out, as the rest of the team didn't know they were there. Though the situation got worse when the pair were separated, Chase kept trying to reach the Chief and was eventually found by the rest of the Rescue Bots. Little White Lies
After failing to understand a comedy movie, Chase began researching the genre and mostly failed with his jokes. He and the other Bots had to be extra careful to act like robots when Frankie started filming them for her school project. Shake Up The Rescue Bots found themselves relegated to cleanup when Cody got hold of a repulsor badge and became a small town superhero. Rescue Boy

Chase was too busy studying municipal codes to go see movies with Cody. He, the other Rescue Bots, Cody and Frankie were sent back in time to 1939 in a time travel accident. There they fell into the hands of a team of scientists headed by Doctor Morocco who performed experiments on them. Morocco was getting to the point of dissecting the four Bots when Optimus and Bumblebee came to their rescue. On returning to the present, they found that Morocco had taken over the town with the aid of his MorBots. It's a Bot Time The four bots managed to elude the MorBots and soon established that leaving Dither in the past had resulted in the changed. After an encounter with an alternate version of the Burns family, the Rescue Bots returned to 1939 and retrieved Dither, returning the timeline to normal. Bot to the Future

While the other Rescue Bots were playing with the Mobile Headquarters, Chase was doing more important work chasing speeders. During a later rescue, the Mobile HQ was teleported to the top of Mount Griffin along with Chase, Heatwave and Boulder, necessitating a rescue by Blades. Road Trip The Rescue Bots helped construct Frankie Greene's Sky Forest, only to have to rescue the town's citizens when the plant life grew out of control. Sky Forest (episode) When Chief Burns became sick, Chase collected some mucus samples. He also helped capture Evan and Myles after the pair stole a piece of Doc Greene's stasis machine, inadvertently resulting in Cody being aged into an adult. One for the Ages

Following reports of a sea monster, Chase accompanied Chief Burns and Cody on the Griffin Rock ferry. Though they didn't encounter a sea monster, Chase did save the vessel after it hit an unexpected iceberg. The iceberg turned out to be the S.S. Isolde, frozen by the Sub-Zero Expander it carried as cargo, and Chase took part in an attempt to get rid of the device by blowing it up, which was aborted when it turned out Doctor Morocco had claimed the vessel as salvage. The team had to deal with the fallout when the device exploded and froze a five-mile section of ocean. Tip of the Iceberg Chase was confused why Cody was excited by the snow day when Griffin Rock was caught in a major snow storm. He later helped Cody and Blades escape the virtual reality game after the storm prevented them from leaving. A Virtual Disaster

Chase and the rest of the team were hypnotized and forced to dig up Blossom Vale, which had formerly been a very nice recreation area with 82% less litter than other comparable such areas. They were eventually freed when Boulder destroyed the cell tower, and set to work repairing the damage to the vale. Spellbound The team was roped into participating in Huxley Prescott's reality show, however when Prescott manufactured emergencies to make the show more exciting, it caused a fire which endangered the town, and the show was shut down. Prescott's Bots The team had to face a horde of gremlins, conjured from Kade's nightmares by Doc Greene's Nightmare Imaging Device. Blame the Gremlins

When a monster was spotted during a star-gazing expedition with Cody, Chase and the other Rescue Bots helped the boy hunt for the beast, resulting in an encounter with it at an old cannery. It transpired that the "Magic Meat" that Mayor Luskey had been selling was Fo-Foo, an experimental food with lycanthropic side effects, and the team had to track down Luskey and Graham who were both infected. Feed the Beast

Woodrow Burns paid an unexpected visit to the island, and took Chase for a spin, which involved breaking the speed limit much to Chase's disgruntlement. The rescue team was joined by Optimus Prime shortly before they were forced to go on a rescue mission to find Woodrow and Cody in a cavern deep underground. What Lies Below Separated from the others, Chase did his best to protect Chief, Woodrow and Cody from lava, though the arguing and Woodrow's colorful language puzzled him. They were soon reunited with the rest of the team, though they had to face a pterodactyl, and eventually escaped by blasting themselves out of the top of Mount Magma. What Rises Above
The Rescue Bots had to bring out their spaceship for another mission to save Graham and Doc Greene after the space elevator they were on was hit by an asteroid. Space Bots The team had to deal with a runaway mechanical bull, which turned out to be turned placid when it saw Chase's blue paint job. When a mishap occurred while transporting the creature to the Island of Misfit Tech, he, Boulder and Blades ended up tussling with a prototype Scrapmaster. The Island of Misfit Tech The town's new central computer Vigil was unable to control the four Rescue Bots, so when it attempted to take control of Griffin Rock, the Bots were able to get the rest of the team into its vault to stop it. The Vigilant Town

Chase and the other Rescue Bots went along on a nature hike which was interrupted by a snake infestation. Chase had a close encounter with a boa constrictor, but the team was able to successfully wrangle all the snakes. Buddy System Following an earthquake, Chief Burns and Chase investigated a rash of metal objects being mysteriously pulled into the air. The trail led them to Wayward Island, where they discovered a quake sensor was turning a lodestone into a super-magnet. In Search of the Griffin's Nest

After educating himself on old detective movies, Chase began narrating everything film noir style. When Evan and Myles attempted to use him as a getaway car, Chase opted to play along, accompanying them to their hideout in an attempt to learn their plan, and even helping them break into the lab to steal Floatium, leaving the rescue team wondering if he'd turned against them. Once Evan and Myles's Tech Wrecker was unveiled, Chase returned to the rest of the team and helped unravel the two criminals' plan and disable the device. Bots and Robbers Following the rescue of a dog, the Rescue Bots were joined in their work by Noble, at least until the dog's real owner turned up to claim him. Rescue Dog

The team had to deal with a storm without Heatwave, when their leader was called to the mainland to acquire a second alternate mode. Changes After the town's midwinter presents were sent to the bottom of the ocean in a ferry accident, Chase and the rest of the team took on the mantle of the Rider of Midwinter and delivered loaves of bread to the townsfolk. The Riders of Midwinter When a Power Planter was struck by lightning and ran wild, the team was forced to respond to a number of emergencies caused by it.
During Chief's absence due to a police conference (Chase requested copious notes) the team found itself under Woodrow's leadership, and Chase experienced jealousy of Woodrow's car after it took his parking spot. Chief Woodrow Chase took part in a hunt to find a relic. The device's effects caused a sinkhole which Chase and the Chief almost fell into, and they subsequently had to rescue people across the island until Optimus Prime shut the relic down. Odd Bot Out The rescue team was roped into completing a rail tunnel to the mainland, mainly because Mayor Luskey regarded the Bots as heavy machinery. When the Griffin Rock Express went out of control, the Bots had to rescue everyone on board, with the help of Frankie and her phasing technology. The Griffin Rock Express

Following a game of Rescue Ball which was interrupted by an impromptu rescue, Chase and the others found that Blades was acting strangely. They discovered why when they were abducted by Dr. Morocco and replaced by duplicates as Blades had been earlier. Morocco erased their memories and convinced them he had been appointed their Earth liaison by Optimus Prime. The Rescue Bots were promptly sent on a mission to mine gold under Griffin Rock, which barely got started before they triggered a methane explosion, and were confronted by the "criminal" Burns family. Double Villainy

The suspicious Bots were taken back to the fire house, where the evidence soon convinced them that the Burns family was on their side and they'd been misled by Morocco. Unfortunately the methane explosion cause the island to begin to sink, and given the choice between helping out or regaining their memories, the Bots chose the former option. With the help of some tech from Doc Greene, the team was able to raise the island once again, and Morocco was forced to restore their memories. Rise of the Heroes

Chase tried to help Cody with a Lad Pioneer project by holding a game show. During a routine inspection by Optimus, the team ended up heading to Wayward Island to investigate a pterodactyl. The Rescue Bots found a group of dinosaurs which chased them into a tar pit, and they had to be rescued by Optimus Prime. Once they established what the dinos were upset about, the team was able to get them to return to the underground cavern they'd come from. Land Before Prime (episode) When Optimus was abducted by big game hunter Quint Quarry, Heatwave, Chase and Blades headed to Quarry's island to mount a rescue. Following the accidental creation of four extra Kades, Chase and the team were saved from a gas leak by the quintet of Kades. Too Many Kades The team was sent ten years forward in time when they boarded the S.S. Phantom Voyager, however Boulder and Graham were able to reverse the time machine stored in the ship's hold, returning them to present day. Phantom of the Sea After a flooding disaster ended in a less-than-ideal manner, Chase recalled the stricken spaceship that the team had failed to rescue prior to coming to Earth. After again receiving the ship's distress signal, he and Boulder took the Sigma into space to try another rescue, though they found the crew was long gone. Again being attacked by the Energon eater, the pair successfully trapped it and returned with it to Earth. Unfinished Business

After the town was sealed inside an energy dome by Vigil, Chase and the others pursued the AI to try to beat it to the dome controls in the lab. Chase and Blades managed to reach the lab first, but Vigil stuck them to the floor using the Collision Foam Cannon, leaving it to Frankie and Cody to save the day. No Place Like Dome In addition to helping Graham with his love life, Chase and the rest of the team had to deal with mutant metal-eating army ants courtesy of Doctor Morocco. Bugs in the System
During a trip on the space elevator Asgard, Chase switched bodies with Frankie. Though perturbed by the experience, he adapted to being a small girl and gained a new insight into the fragility of humans. They were later returned to their own bodies. Switcheroo Chase and the rest of the team were shrunken down to microscopic size so they could enter Kade's body and retrieve the scrubmites he'd accidentally ingested. Bot-Tastic Voyage Following Professor Baranova's abduction at the hands of Colonel Quarry, Chase scanned a stegosaurus alternate mode so he and the other Rescue Bots, plus Optimus, could masquerade as the dinobots Quarry wanted Doc Greene to build. The mayor decided to honor the rescue team by holding Bot Appreciation Week, however a clash in schedules resulted in the Burns family being off the island for the start. The Rescue Bots found they had to contend with the souvenir versions of themselves running amok thanks to Evan and Myles reprogramming them. All Bots Great and Small When Cody began experiencing repeated time, his foreknowledge allowed the rescue team to prevent a number of disasters and mishaps during the dedication of the town's new clock tower. Time After Time

After the discovery that the Burns family had a pirate in their ancestry and the suspension of the rescue team, Chase was the responsible one who stayed back on the island to monitor things while the rest of the team went treasure hunting. After the treasure was found, the team was reinstated. Pirates Ahoy The Rescue Bots found themselves being trained in marine rescues by High Tide, though Chase spent most of the time working on his swabbing skills. Chase was not impressed with Blurr's recklessness, lying about his past, and flagrant hugging, but Optimus convinced the team to give Blurr another chance. The New Recruits When Cody suggested the Rescue Bots provide the newbies with more personalized training, Chase took the opportunity to mine the database of security footage of their rescues that he'd built up, to create a presentation. Rescue Bots Academy (episode) After Blurr stole the Sigma, Chase was all in favor of a court martial, especially when a solar flare knocked out the island's power and they didn't have the ship to stop a rogue satellite crashing on them. He was still in favor even after Blurr saved the day, though Heatwave gave Blurr another chance and Optimus assigned Blurr and Salvage elsewhere. A New Hero
After raising several false alarms, Chase became suspicious that the assistant of visiting magician Maura the Magnificent was behind a number of thefts and roped Frankie into tailing the suspect. The four Bots had to deice the generators so that the island's dome could be raised. Now and Then (RB) As the team enacted a plan to fill the dome with floatium and fly the island back, Chase had to rescue Doc Greene and Professor Baranova when the ground started giving way. The journey continued, but the Rescue Bots were forced to use their own energon to power the dome. They successfully reached Griffin Rock's old location, and after some medical attention, the Rescue Bots recovered. Some years later, Chase had been integrated into life on Earth to the point that he was writing a detective novel. He and the other Rescue Bots helped resist the Velgrox invasion, and in doing so revealed their status as visitors from another world to the Griffin Rock community. New Normal While the townsfolk decided whether to keep their secret, Chase and Heatwave tested out the new GroundBridge to the mainland and ended up stuck in the Sahara. They managed to get back to Griffin Rock, where the townsfolk voted to keep their secret. Bridge Building

Chase regrettably had to cut short a three-hour presentation on law enforcement to attend to an emergency. Another GroundBridge accident sent him and Heatwave to the mainland, and resulted in them bringing a car back to the island who later turned out to be the Rescue Bot Quickshadow. Arrivals Suspicious of the new arrival, Chase investigated Quickshadow, though she was able to explain why she didn't appear in Chase's database. During election season, Chase was encouraged to run for mayor. Despite not being the best at public speaking, he won running against Luskey and insisted on taking office. His strict adherence to many obscure laws caused chaos, culminating in the near destruction of the island when he locked Doc Greene out of the laboratory and a minimolecular collider almost overloaded. He reluctantly stepped down, allowing Luskey to take back the mayoralty. Mayor May Not
Chase and Chief were delayed attending the opening of the new mainland Rescue Bot Training Center when they had to fix Jerry's truck, and Chase had to prevent it falling off the mountain. The pair made it in time for the opening, but then had to leave shortly after to attend to a broken traffic light. The More Things Change... Cut off from the training center after the computer system malfunctioned, Chase, Blades and Chief instead dealt with the problems on Griffin Rock, including more lawbreaking by Don, until the problem was fixed. The More Things Stay the Same
During a series of motor races, the Bots had to first deal with a collapsing stand full of spectators, and then with runaway racers thanks to an errant invention. Hot Rod Bot When the Burns family discovered they might be royalty and Kade was crowned king, Chase appointed himself as royal bodyguard, until it later turned out that the whole thing was a mistake. King Burns During the town's Pizza Pi Party, the team had to deal with a rapidly-expanding monster mound of pizza dough. Pizza Pi Party
When Madeline Pynch got hold of a chunk of Energon, the rescue team put into action a plan to recover the Energon and arrest Pynch. Though Chase was uncomfortable with the idea of stealing, he successfully disabled Pynch's car with road spikes (under the code name Spike), and later loaded the Energon onto Dani's jet with Kade. Cody's 11 When Dani's test space mission ran into trouble, the team headed into space in the Sigma to mount a rescue, with Chase providing the second stage to a jetpack-assisted Rescue Bot rocket. {{storylink|To Infinity... Chase subtly pointed Cody in the direction of law enforcement when the buy was trying to decide what sort of rescue worker he'd become. Family Business The Bots found themselves having to maintain their robot disguises when Maven Danger stayed at the firehouse as research for his new movie, though it later turned out the visit was just so Maven's agent Skip Scobble could attempt to steal a rare book. A Brush with Danger

The team was surprised to discover a whole town in China knew about them, when they were called there to deal with some out-of-control Scrubbers. Afterwards Optimus promptly reassigned them, with Chase leading a team consisting of Boulder and Blurr to protect Professor Baranova's laboratory on the west coast. When it turned out the Morocco virus was back and had built a new MorBot, the team were unable to stop him from stealing technology from the lab. Upgrades The team came back from a hike to discover that Morocco was still around and had taken over the Training Center. After Blurr and Baranova reached the center, they were able to use the GroundBridge to bring Chase, Boulder and Graham in to help devirus the mainframe. Chase was enjoying the peace and quiet while the students were away, a state of affairs which ended soon after he expressed as much. He was later paired with Whirl as a mentor. Back To School The pair merrily ticketed jaywalkers on their first assignment together. In Training Chase assigned Whirl the task of investigating the Lady of Griffin Rock.
:This figure was redecoed for the Energize toyline, making his primary color a more show-accurate blue rather than black and casting some parts in translucent blue plastic. :On some copies of the figure, the blue struts holding up the arms tend to droop down when posing, as it relies solely on friction. This, alongside the transformation, can lead to paint chipping on the shoulders, as it consists of large swaths of blue paint.
A team of Rescue Bots is assigned by Optimus Prime to work with the Burns family on the island of Griffin Rock.

Synopsis
Somewhere in space, a drifting Autobot spaceship receives a message from Optimus Prime directing them to Earth. The ship automatically changes course and eventually touches down in a military base. The four members of Rescue Force Sigma-17 emerge and are greeted by Optimus himself, who informs them that Cybertron is no longer the Autobots' home.

On the island of Griffin Rock, Cody Burns is biking to school when his dad pulls up alongside in the old police car, which is soon to be replaced with a new car as part of the town's function as a hi-tech testing ground. Cody wants to test drive the new vehicles, but the rest of his family points out they're for grown-ups.

Optimus tells the new arrivals that he has a new mission for them: to live with a human family and learn more about Earth, but they must do so disguised as normal machines. He gives them rescue vehicles to scan, though Blades is unenthusiastic when he discovers the alternate mode he's ended up with flies. Optimus introduces them to Chief Charlie Burns, the only human who knows the Rescue Bots' true nature.

That afternoon, Cody arrives at the dedication, where he meets Frankie Greene and her father, Doc Greene, in the audience, though Frankie's more interested in the new exhibit of robot dinosaurs at the museum. Chief Burns introduces the gathered crowd to the Rescue Bots, describing them as new hi-tech robots which will work with him and his family as a rescue response unit. When a butterfly lands on Boulder's face, the Autobot instinctively goes to shoo it away, but is stopped by Heatwave. However, Cody's suspicions are already raised. When Cody jumps up and knocks on Boulder's foot, he's told to get lost by a reporter. The press photos are interrupted when word comes in of a fire at the Natural History Museum.

Burns and his rescue squad head to the museum, although Dani discovers her helicopter doesn't seem to like flying too high. Chase begins clearing the humans from the area, though is confused when a couple of Egyptian mummies fail to comply. Graham is bemused when he tells Boulder to move some planters and the Autobot responds that it would ruin the aesthetics. They manage to get the fire out, and Graham locates the cause: a short in one of the robotic dinosaurs. While he's fixing it, Cody sneaks into the museum, having followed the team on his bike. He's therefore present to witness Heatwave saving Chief Burns and Graham from a falling dinosaur head. Burns explains it as Heatwave having been left in rescue mode, and Kade is glad to take the credit. As they leave the museum, the eyes on a short-circuiting animatronic Tyrannosaurus rex light up ominously!

That night, back in the fire station, the Rescue Bots take a lift down to a Cold War bunker underneath the station. Upstairs, Cody excuses himself from dinner with his family and heads downstairs, where he catches the Rescue Bots complaining about their new gig. Heatwave has just decided they're going to leave when Cody speaks up. The Rescue Bots realize their cover is blown, but after introductions are made, Cody shows them that there are many tunnels leading around the island from the bunker. They check out a giant robot movie at a drive in, and Cody attempts to teach the Rescue Bots how to act like "real" robots as well as give them tips on dealing with his siblings. Lessons are brought to a halt when they spot the robotic T. rex from the museum, now rampaging along the street. As it moves into the drive-in, Cody gets Chase to start his lights, and they establish the thing is attracted to light. They begin leading the creature to a safe area while Cody contacts his dad.

Burns takes the rest of his family in the old squad car, and they soon catch up with the Rescue Bots as the chase moves outside town. While they try to work out how to deal with the rogue dinosaur, Cody calls Frankie. Soon Boulder is extracting a jail cell from the police station, which Dani and Blades fly to the scene. Meanwhile, Chase keeps the T. rex occupied, and Kade and Heatwave wet some ground to make mud. Kade is shocked when Heatwave transforms, attracts the dinosaur's attention, and then throws it into the mud. Dani lowers the makeshift cage over it, allowing Cody to shut the dinosaur down.

The next day, they return the dinosaur to the museum, and Burns decides to get a picture of "his heroes" outside. After Heatwave tells Kade that Cody's part of the team or the Rescue Bots leave, Chief Burns reveals that they're not just robots, they're aliens.
Notes
Continuity notes
* Rescue Bots takes place in continuity with Transformers: Prime, though it's unclear exactly at which point in the other series this episode takes place.
* We get a little information about what the Rescue Bots used to do. Heatwave notes that the fire engine serves the same function as his old job "back home".
* Chief Burns comments "A dinosaur? Again?" Clearly this sort of thing happens a lot, as later episodes will demonstrate!

Transformers references
* Optimus's message calling Autobots to Earth, which is received by the Rescue Bots' spacecraft riffs off a similar message sent into space by Optimus Prime at the end of the 2007 Transformers film.
* When talking to their passengers in vehicle mode, the Rescue Bots display an image of their robot mode faces on a screen, much like the Autobots in the 2001 Transformers: Robots in Disguise cartoon.
* The vehicle Chase scans is a police car that resembles a Ford Mustang. Sounds familiar.

Real-world references
* The below-ground bunker is a relic of the Cold War.
* The robot in the drive-in movie bears a resemblance to Robby the Robot.
* During the sequence in which Cody is attempting to teach everyone how to act like robots, Blades is seen doing the Robot (dance).

Animation and technical errors
* When Chase is polishing his chest and shoulder during Heatwave's rant, the yellow parts of his eyes appear a greyish-green. They become yellow when Cody first appears, but revert to grey shortly after. They turn yellow once more as Heatwave introduces himself, and remain that way for several minutes, but are grey again when he contacts the chief.
* As the Burns family watch the Rescue Bots and dinosaur speed past, the holographic traffic lights on the intersection aren't working, though they were a shot earlier.
* As Kade drives away in Heatwave to deal with the Dinobot, Cody's comlink suddenly appears clipped to the collar of his jacket. It vanishes by the next shot, but then inexplicably reappears in-between frames after he powers down the Dinobot. It quickly disappears again, reappears as he moves away from his family for Chief's photo, then disappears once more as he stands in front of the Bots. But when the Burnses (minus Kade) gather around him for the picture, the comlink is present one final time - only to vanish as Heatwave puts a hand on Cody's shoulder.

Trivia
* Optimus's mouthplate moves when he talks.
* This episode was later adapted into storybook form as Meet Chase the Police-bot.
The Team is forced to participate in a reality show that captures extreme danger on camera.

Synopsis
Graham teaches the Bots about how maple syrup is extracted from trees, though Chase is confused by the fact that Cody likes maple syrup but not carrot soup. They take the extracted syrup to where Mayor Luskey is preparing to pour the first syrup of the harvest onto a giant stack of pancakes. Huxley Prescott is on hand, but disgruntled at having to cover such a mediocre event. He tries to interest Chief Burns in having the Bots participate in a reality show, but Burns once again turns him down. There's action to be had after all, as Luskey slips and falls onto the pancakes, requiring a quick save by Heatwave and Boulder, and giving Huxley something to film.

Back at the firehouse, Blades is enthusiastic about the idea of appearing on television, more so than the other bots, but Cody believes there's little chance Huxley will get to do his show. Meanwhile, Huxley manages to sweet talk the mayor by showing him a theoretical title sequence featuring the Mayor prominently. Luskey agrees to a pilot episode.

Chief Burns breaks the news to the others, and they soon have a face-full of camera each. Burns quickly gives Huxley some ground rules, and instructs Cody to make sure the Bots are on their best robot behavior. As the cameras follow the team around, Huxley becomes frustrated at the lack of action. What appears to be the start of a promising car chase fizzles out after Don meekly pulls over to get a ticket, Heatwave rescues Mister Pettypaws from a runaway vacuum in scant moments, and Blades tows Mr. Sharma's boat to shore safely, though Blades spends most of the time trying to think up a catchphrase. The Bots are confused by Huxley's disappointment at the way the rescues are going, as they value safety over excitement.

Huxley interrupts Graham's engineering homework with more questions, and Graham almost knocks over a jar of Squilsh. When Graham proves uninteresting, Huxley recalls his cameras for "recharging". Blades is perturbed by the idea that the cameras won't be ready if there's an emergency, and sure enough, there's a call from the zoo reporting that Nancy Morrison has fallen into the lion enclosure. The team soon has Nancy winched out, though the lion menaces Kade. The Bots jump in the way, and the lion moves in, only to start licking maple syrup off Boulder. Huxley berates the Chief for not telling him that the team was "planning" this rescue, and Chief responds that they don't plan rescues. An idea is sparked in Huxley's brain.

An emergency call soon arrives to say that the bank's been robbed, but when the team stops the armored car, it's just Jerry on his regular run. Unimpressed, the team starts trying to track the bogus emergency call. Elsewhere Huxley reviews his tapes and spots Graham's talk about the Squilsh's properties. Huxley soon sneaks into the fire station and swipes the Squilsh. Blades continues to try and think up catchphrases, despite Chief telling him he shouldn't be pursuing fame. Cody reports that he's traced the emergency call, and it came from Huxley Prescott. Huxley himself is at the dam, pouring the Squilsh into the water, but when he calls it in, Chief Burns tells him he's been rumbled. Discouraged by the lack of activity from the rescue team and the Squilsh, Prescott leaves the dam, unaware the Squilsh has started assimilating the water.

Prescott stops sometime later at some traffic lights, only for Edgar Pruitt's truck to speed past and crash. As the fire begins to spread to the trees, Huxley rings the emergency services, and is completely disregarded by Kade who believes it's another false alarm. Luckily Chief Burns has Cody double-check, and the rescue team soon springs into action. Prescott continues to try and record everything, and as his cameras get in the way, Chief Burns tells him to stop filming. The firefighting soon gets into trouble as Heatwave runs dry, and Blades finds the dam full of Squilsh. With no water around, Cody hits on the idea of using maple syrup. While Blades heads to the sea to fill his scoop claw there, the other Bots head for the maple grove. The fire spreads towards Mayor Luskey's house, and Huxley tries to make himself a TV hero with a fire extinguisher, only for the extinguisher to run out long before the fire is under control. Luckily the team manages to use a combination of maple syrup and sea water to put the fire out.

Later on Blades laments that he's gone off television, but Cody cheers him up by showing him a live feed of Chief Burns making Huxley clean the maple syrup off Luskey's house.
Quotes
"Heroes need a spotlight to become legends. Mayor, you are that legend in waiting. Look at that face! The camera simply loves you!"<br />
"Well, ah. Maybe just a pilot episode."
:—Huxley Prescott and Mayor Luskey

"I'm just trying to come up with my catchphrase, Dani. Every reality star has one. Oh, how about 'That really takes the tuna!' or 'You've been coptered!'?"<br />
"How about silence is golden?"
:—Blades and Dani

"Well, why can't we give 'em both? Get the job done but do it with style, ha cha!"
:—Blades, followed by complete silence.

"But this is reality TV!"<br />
"Blades, it can either be reality or TV, not both."
Notes
Continuity notes
*Huxley's title sequence features shots from a number of season 1 episodes:
**Heatwave running with a telephone pole from "You've Been Squilshed".
**Chase catching a tank of dangerous chemicals from "The Alien Invasion of Griffin Rock".
**Blades hitting the Squilsh with a sculpture, from "You've Been Squilshed".
**Boulder catching the runaway solar car from "The Other Doctor".
*Graham's homework is presumably from Gremsky Technical Institute. It and the Squilsh were first established in "You've Been Squilshed".
*Griffin Rock Zoo and its lion first appeared in "Walk on the Wild Side".
*Heatwave uses his energize weapon to put out fire with maple syrup.
*In the final scene, Heatwave appears to be giving "The Natives of Tatooie" another chance, despite its stasis-inducing effects last time.

Transformers references
*(tbd)

Real-world references
*When Kade goes down into the lion enclosure, he says to Nancy, "Trust me, you do not want to join his circle of life," in reference to the 1994 movie The Lion King.

Animation and technical errors
*Some of the footage in Huxley's title sequence is from scenes where the Bots are acting like themselves, and even from episodes in which Prescott was not present.

Trivia
*Prescott drinks a lot of coffee!
*Community service seems a fair sentence for making phony emergency calls, but lest you forget: Huxley willfully contaminated the town's water supply. He most DEFINITELY should have gone to prison for that. (Not to mention the B&E and burglary to get the Squilsh!)
Synopsis
Chase and Chief Burns stand ready as a ship pulls in to the docks, as there's a shipment on it bound for Doc Greene's lab. The Chief is suffering from the flu and is sneezing everywhere. Miscreant troublemakers Evan and Myles are ready to try and steal the new equipment, and use a sonic device to knock Mr. Bunty into the water. While Chief dives in after their victim, they swipe some equipment and speed off in their car. The Chief and Chase pursue, but the pair are sent spinning off a cliff when the two criminals drop oil on the road. Chase is able to cling to the side of the cliff and climb back up. With Chief increasingly sick, they return to the firehouse so he can rest.

With Chief Burns in bed, Kade announces he's the new leader. The Rescue Bots discuss what's wrong with the Chief, and Chase tries to interest anyone in the mucus sample he's acquired. The discussion is interrupted by the news there's a ruptured gas line. Cody attempts to go along, only to get told by Kade he's too small. Heatwave is unimpressed by Kade's insistence on beating Cody at arm wrestling before they head out. When they reach the site of the mess, Kade tries to order everyone around, though they pretty much already know what they need to do.

Cody heads up to Doc Greene's lab, where the Doc and Frankie are assembling the parts that weren't stolen into a stasis machine. They explain that it will freeze objects in time, but there's as a part missing, it won't work. Cody plays with the remote, accidentally triggering the device, which abruptly ages him to an adult. Doc Greene realizes that it's a result of the machine being incomplete and they may need the missing part back to reverse the aging, though he might be able to improvise something. Cody's just excited that he's finally an adult.

Back at the fire station, the Rescue Bots and Cody's siblings are surprised at Cody's new state. They're soon called out to another emergency, and Cody insists he's now old enough to come along, with Kade forced to concede. They find a rocket tangled in power lines, the result of an experiment by a Mr. Cullen. With the rocket still full of fuel, Cody switches the power off so Blades can lift it free safely. Unimpressed with Cody's feat, Kade assigns him to crowd control, though this results in Hayley becoming interested in this attractive new member of the Burns family. Unfortunately the attempt to retrieve the rocket goes wrong when it falls, and everyone takes cover from the explosion. Hayley asks "Cole", as he's calling himself, to lunch. An argument between Cody and Kade ensues, and Cody goes to hang out with Frankie.

Doc Greene is having no luck recalibrating the stasis machine, so Cody and Frankie try to play basketball, but the height disparity makes the match one-sided, so Frankie goes back inside to help her dad. Cody finally comes to the realization he needs to be a kid again. Meanwhile, Myles and Evan have their eyes on the rest of the stasis machine and are aiming to break into the lab. Chase attempts to stop them, but they blast him with their sonic ray. Cody smashes the weapon out of their hands with a basketball, and when they're confronted by the Greenes and Trex, they flee.

Cody and Chase are pursue the pair, but are held up by first a crosswalk and then some inconveniently placed crates. Heatwave and Kade manage to pull alongside the two thieves, only to be blasted by their piece of the stasis ray, resulting in Kade being deaged into a child. While everyone is amused at the effect, after Kade has a quick change of clothing, they chase the two criminals around the dock. Kade tries to drop a box on them, only to be too small to pull the release lever, but it provides a distraction so the Rescue Bots can surround them. Evan and Myles ditch the stasis machine piece, which Boulder saves from a watery grave, and attempt to hide in a box. Unfortunately for them, Chase simply slaps a lid on the box so Blades can lift it up and carry them to prison.

Doc Greene announces with the missing piece, he should have the machine working properly within the hour. Chief Burns walks into the station saying that he's feeling much better, only to see adult Cody and kid Kade arm wrestling, at which point he announces he's going back to bed.
Notes
Continuity notes
* Mr. Bunty is named for the first time. He previously had a reasonably-sized "guest" role in "Flobsters on Parade".
* Evan and Myles were previously arrested in "The Haunting of Griffin Rock".
* Heatwave uses the water cannon energize tool that comes with his toy to put out a fire.
* Blades refers to Lad Pioneers.
* Mr. Cullen's rocket was seen visible next to a house (presumably his) during season 1, and prominently appears on the show's title sequence.
* Trex was turned into a guard dog in "Return of the Dino Bot".

Real-world references
* Doc Greene refers to Frankie as his "young Tesla."
* It's a fair bet Mr. Cullen's name is a reference to Optimus Prime voice actor Peter Cullen.
* Chase asks Evan and Myles if they're "familiar with the human known as Miranda warning." Given Chase's voice actor D.C. Douglas has a prominent role in the Mass Effect games which also feature a human named Miranda, it's not impossible this is a double-reference.

Animation and technical errors
* The Settlers' Bell is absent from the lighthouse during the opening shot!
* Whereas Trex's eyes were blue in his previous appearance in "Return of the Dino Bot" and only turned red when he was possessed by Doctor Morocco's virus, from this story on they're permanently red.

Trivia
* Kade wants a two-mile perimeter clear of pedestrians? How big is Griffin Rock anyway?
* Not only does the stasis machine make Cody older, it also gives him a perfectly formed mustache but no beard.
Cody and Frankie go head to head in a town inventor contest, leading to a jealous divide between the two.

Synopsis
Chief Burns is demonstrating proper apple picking techniques to Chase, who has a little trouble mastering them, when a hovering fruit picker robot suddenly appears. Unfortunately it soon malfunctions, taking off and "picking" objects from Griffin Rock citizens instead. It grabs a cluster of balloons being carried by Mr. Alper and lifts him up into the air, resulting in Kade and Heatwave having to rescue him from a flag pole. The rest of the team continues the chase until Blades captures the machine in his scoop claw. The machine's rampage is halted, but its owner, Priscilla Pynch, arrives to claim it — it's her entry in the youth invention competition being hosted by Mayor Luskey.

Cody and Frankie brainstorm ideas for their own entry in the competition. Cody comes up with a suit that sprays water but Frankie prefers the idea of a tower with trees on it. They opt to enter their inventions separately. As it turns out, Frankie's Sky Forest wins the competition, much to the annoyance of Priscilla and disappointment of Cody, though roving reporter Huxley Prescott plays up the rift between Cody and Frankie to be much more than it is. Luskey announces they're building a full size Sky Forest in the town. The Bots wonder if they now have to pick sides, and announce they're going to stick with Cody.

Cody tries to ring Frankie, but she's constantly busy overseeing the development of the Sky Forest, and finally the day comes when it's ready to be built. With the help of the Bots, construction goes well, though they have to save a bunch of citizens when the third level almost falls from the helicopter carrying it. Finally it's finished, and turns out to be structurally sound, but Luskey is shocked by the news it's going to take ten years or so for the trees to grow.

The next morning, the Burns family is surprised to see the Sky Forest brimming over with new growth. Lusky has used some rapid growth formula from the Best Left Forgotten section of the Hall of Inspiration, an act Chief Burns and Doc Greene regard as ill-advised. The kids head up to play in the new forest and jump on giant mushrooms, while other Griffin Rock citizens likewise explore the tower, however they soon find that the foliage is hostile. Swiftly-growing vines begin attacking everyone: Mr. Harrison is grabbed while bird watching, some Lad Pioneers are trapped in a tree, and Priscilla has to throw her hoverpicker at a giant Venus flytrap. Dani and Blades manage to extract Cody and Frankie, but the vines start spreading through the town. Cody soon spots that the vines don't like the ocean, so the trio heads back to the firehouse for equipment. Meanwhile, the other bots use their energize tools to attack the vines, but quickly run into trouble. Armed with salt water, Dani, Cody and Frankie return, but only Cody in his sprinkler suit is able to get to the cut-off valve for the rapid growth formula. With that switched off, the vines release everyone, and Priscilla presents a bill for the destruction of her hoverpicker to Mayor Luskey.

As the Sky Forest is relocated to Wayward Island, Frankie presents Cody with half of her prize medal in recognition of his invention.
* The Best Left Forgotten section was introduced in "Christmas in July". Clearly the mayor still hasn't learned that things are in there for a reason.
* The Bots now have the Energize tools, which appeared to need work in the previous episode.
* Wayward Island was previously seen in "Bumblebee to the Rescue".

Real-world references
* Cody's been telling the Rescue Bots about Jack and the Magic Beanstalk.
* Cody and Frankie get spaghetti western effects when they realize they're at odds over which invention to go with.
* Blades knows all about the "Bro Code" and is familiar with buddy movies.

Animation and technical errors
* As Mayor Luskey tells Chief Burns and Graham that he's used rapid growth formula, the button on his jacket teleports down a couple of inches and then back up.
* The remote-controlled UFO one of the kids has entered in the competition is identical to the one Frankie has in "Shake Up". Shouldn't it be a new invention?

* Considering the hoverpicker endangered the life of at least one citizen during its rampage, Priscilla's lucky all she got was told to keep a better eye on it.
A tricky transporter takes Cody for a crazy ride and Kade takes on a high-flying rescue mission.

Synopsis
Cody gives Heatwave some instructions on how to drive the Mobile Headquarters, while Kade plays with the GPS to plan his date with Hayley. Heatwave interrupts by taking the MHQ for a spin, almost literally. As Kade screams for Heatwave to slow down, Chief Burns reports he's chasing a speeder on Old Canyon Road and he could really do with some help. Heatwave takes the MHQ on the road and joins the pursuit. He's soon able to use the massive vehicle to stop the out-of-control driver before anyone gets hurt.

Back at the fire house, Cody is finding that now that Doc Greene and Frankie know the Rescue Bots' secret, no one has any time to hang out with him; Frankie's too busy playing a dance video game with Blades, Heatwave and Chase are playing a Cybertronian equivalent of chess that Doc Green helped them construct, and Boulder and Doc Greene are working on the energize tools they've built with Cybertronian technology. Doc Greene shows off his Inspiration Counter, and a teleporter called the Vacuum Accelerator. He tests the latter on Kade's toolbox, but the remote control fails to return the teleporter as expected. Graham shows off the new command center he's installed in the MHQ, just in time to receive an emergency call from Mr. Whitaker — Taylor is stuck to the lighthouse by his para-sail.

As the team rolls out, Cody continues to monitor the situation from the MHQ, unaware that the toolbox has just materialized behind him. Outside, Doc Greene and Frankie are perturbed when the MHQ vanishes. The Doc rings Cody, who discovers that the MHQ is now in the middle of the river, and tries using the teleporter's reset button without success. The others are rescuing Taylor, though Blades is amused that Dani knows the rescuee's name. The rest of the team is soon called away to rescue Cody, leaving Blades, Dani and Kade to rescue Taylor, however the rescue goes wrong when a gust of wind carries Taylor and Kade away. Blades and Dani follow, but are unable to find them in the dense forest. The lost pair soon find themselves in trouble: Kade has lost his commlink and sprained his ankle, and what's worse, they have a bear after them.

The other Bots attempt to fish the MHQ out of the river, only for the transporter to trigger, transporting the MHQ and Rescue Bots to the top of Mount Griffin. Blades and Dani turn up to winch the MHQ to safety, and Heatwave manages to save the Vacuum Accelerator from falling out. As Blades descends, the teleporter triggers again, depositing them at the drive through. Heatwave throws the teleporter away, but moments later he realizes that the teleporter had been taking them to locations Kade had planned for his date with Hayley and they can use it to teleport to Kade's location. This results in them hunting for the device, and luckily it turns out the Vacuum Accelerator happened to hit Doc Greene's windshield.

Kade and Taylor are sheltering from the bear in a hammock made from the para-sail when the others use Kade's commlink to locate them. The MHQ teleports in and Heatwave scares off the bear, allowing the pair to return to the ground, where Dani checks to see if Taylor's OK, and Kade suggests he ask her out already. With everyone safely in the MHQ, Cody sets the GPS for the fire station and they're all teleported... to Mayor Luskey's front lawn.

Notes
Continuity notes
* Some time has clearly passed since season 1. Enough time for modifications to be made to the MHQ so that the Bots can drive it — new windows in the upper part of the front plus a bot-sized steering wheel — and a mobile command center as well as customized rims with Rescue Bots insignias. The fire station has also undergone some modification, most prominently it now has a statue of a griffin standing on a Rescue Bots insignia out front.
* Taylor most prominently appeared in "The Lost Bell". Dani says they helped "land his plane", though in that story it was being blown along the runaway by the wind.
* Mount Griffin gets named, though we already knew the rock on top was named "Griffin Rock" from "Countdown".
* The bear appears to be the same one from "Rules and Regulations".
* Heatwave was Lobbing champ three years running.

Transformers references
* Boulder and Doc Greene are working on the energize weapons that the "Energize" subline of the Rescue Bots toyline came with.

Real-world references
* Frankie and Blades play a game not unlike Dance Dance Revolution (presumably Doc Greene made the Rescue Bot sized mat!)

Animation and technical errors
* How does the teleporter survive hitting Doc Greene's windshield at high velocity? Its major component is a glass tube!

Trivia
* The title sequence is tweaked slightly as of this episode, with several of the shots which previously took place at night either switched for daytime shots or, in the case of the shot of Cody and the four Bots under the line "With Cody to guide them and show them the way", reanimated.
* Blades can not only lift the MHQ but the other three Rescue Bots as well, though not for very long.
