:Fangry is a Decepticon in the Generation 1 continuity family.

No Decepticon leader wants Fangry under his command. The rebellious, foul-mouthed Fangry explodes violently against any being who dares give him an order. He has attacked almost as many unfortunate Decepticons as he has their actual enemies, the Autobots. A Decepticon with a healthy sense of self-preservation will give Fangry orders in the form of mild suggestions or reverse psychology.

Fangry has complete faith in only his judgment and his alone. Unwilling to listen to advice, his tactics are notoriously flawed. Furthermore, he's likely to be abandoned on the battlefield when in trouble. The mere act of coming to his rescue implies he needs help at all -- and, well, you know how he reacts to that idea.

Fangry's Headmaster partner is Brisko.

Fiction
Marvel Comics
Generation 1
(<b>Note:</b> Events in italics occurred in the UK comics.)

Fangry and his partner Brisko oversaw part of the Z Foundation's attempt at recruiting humans to take down the Autobots for them. Their pawns, the Roadjammers, ended up overstepping their boundaries and came after the Decepticons as well as the Autobots, and so the project was scrapped. Ca$h and Car-Nage!

Shortly thereafter, Fangry joined his fellow Decepticons in recovering Scorponok's head from Highbrow, but was then shunted into Limbo to make way for the time-travelling Soundwave and the Terrorcons, leaving him out of the Time Wars.

When Bludgeon assumed command of the Decepticons after the war with Unicron, Fangry was quick to assert his independence, especially given his unease with the Autobot/Decepticon alliance that had tenuously been forged in the aftermath. To be honest, Autobot commander Grimlock didn't make things any easier by throwing cups of oil at Fangry's head to shut him up (and what was Grimlock doing with a cup anyway? He has no mouth!). Fangry tried to jump Grimlock later that night, but bit off more than he could chew since Grimmie had just received his spiffy new Actionmaster upgrade. His public humiliation did serve a purpose, however, as it gave Bludgeon a rallying point to ensure his fellow Decepticons were willing to end the alliance abruptly, and leave the Autobots stranded on Cybertron. Fangry accompanied Bludgeon and the Decepticons to the massacre on planet Klo, and after the Autobots arrived and were successfully ambushed, Fangry served as lead tracker hunting the remaining five Autobots. He again tried to attack Grimlock, who dispatched him with a single punch to the chest and out the back. End of the Road! (Marvel US comic)

(<b>Note:</b> Fangry's origin is unknown. He was not one of the original Nebulan-bonded Decepticon Headmasters, so either Zarak recruited more Nebulan partners for the Decepticons behind-the-scenes in Headmasters #4, or he returned to Nebulos for a recruitment drive at some later date.)

Generation 2
Fangry appears rather briefly as part of Bludgeon's Warworld-Decepticons during their Prime-baiting attack against Earth. In the course of the operation he brandishes a pair of guns, though never actually attacks anything with them, and transforms all of once. While he presumably survives Megatron's return and Bludgeon's resulting... er, "retirement", he is not actually seen afterward. Most likely, he's trying to collect those five triliters of Energon resin he owes Starscream because of a bet they made about the Bludgeon-Megatron battle's outcome.

He's jovial, upbeat, and irreverent by nature despite his frightening exterior. To the frequent amusement (and sometimes annoyance) of his comrades, Grotusque can be counted on to fill the air with laughter and lighthearted jokes in even the darkest or least appropriate of situations. To their dismay he's simply incapable of taking anything totally seriously. Yet they have little other reason to complain, Grotusque's courage is legendary and he's a top-notch fighter. He's also quite brilliant at his function as strategist, with a sharp and analytical mind that's perfect for planning masterful campaigns (and witty quips). Fighting is fun, in Grotusque's opinion, or he simply wouldn't do it, and, in the end, death is as much a joke as life, so smile and laugh a little, and enjoy yourself while you're here.
Thankfully the Decepticons attacked just then and the Monsterbots burst out of the building through the wall to fight them. In the ensuing battle, Grotusque traded fire with Scourge. Rodimus expressed relief that, though they were monsters, at least they were Autobot monsters.

Marvel Comics continuity
Grotusque and the Monsterbots joined Fortress Maximus in abandoning Cybertron, hoping to find a new life for themselves on the planet of Nebulos. Conflicts with the locals made this difficult, and those conflicts were only exacerbated by the Decepticons' arrival and subsequent binary bonding with a deceitful group of local Nebulans, including the pairing of Decepticon leader Scorponok with high-ranking official Lord Zarak. Zarak turned the Nebulan people against the Autobots, portraying the Decepticons as public heroes even as they raided Nebulos's resources to serve the lust for power of both Zarak and Scorponok. When the Decepticons attempted to take control of the Mercury Gardens, the Monsterbots and several comrades attempted to stop them. They failed -- not only did the Decepticon Headmasters kill every Autobot but the escaping Monsterbots, they also successfully proclaimed their heroism to the media for driving off the Autobot "attackers".

The Autobots eventually quit Nebulos and traveled to Earth, where Grotusque continued to serve as one of Fortress Maximus's top advisors. He was part of a select greeting party involved in the first meeting with the Ark's crew.

:Repugnus is an Autobot in the Generation 1 continuity family.

Never a Decepticon, Repugnus is not always an Autobot. No, sometimes he's a former Autobot who has been discharged for insubordination or just plain nastiness, but he always gets called back to perform some mission too unsavory for anybody else. Though he doesn't give slag for authority or decency, Repugnus always does his job well.

Man, does he love his job. He'll describe, with relish, how he clawed an enemy within an inch of his life, then beat the bastard's head to a fuel-soaked wad of scrap metal with his own torn-off leg unit. He'll also add plenty of profanities and colorful idioms to the story. His friends would find this disturbing, if he had any.
Repugnus and the Monsterbots were created accidentally during an attempt to create new Autobots. Kup raced to warn Rodimus Prime and Blurr of the accident, as the wild Monsterbots trashed the lab where they were born. Thankfully the Decepticons attacked just then and the Monsterbots burst out of the building through the wall to fight them. Repugnus, sweet guy that he is, gave Octane a great big hug. Rodimus expressed relief that, though they were monsters, at least they were Autobot monsters.

Marvel Comics continuity
For reasons not even Vector Sigma would be able to compute, Repugnus decided to join Fortress Maximus in abandoning the war and settling down for a peaceful, quiet life on the verdant paradise of Nebulos. Maybe there's actually a great deal more complexity to Repugnus's personality than we were led to believe. Maybe he secretly longs for an end to the fighting, and his repulsive and unsavory behavior is just his way of acting out his frustration at the never-ending cycle of violence.

Or maybe he thought pacifists would be easier to harrass.
Fighting is fun, in Grotusque's opinion, or he simply wouldn't do it, and, in the end, death is as much a joke as life, so smile and laugh a little, and enjoy yourself while you're here.

Grotusque laughs at life and everything in it. Why shouldn't he when nothing out there could ever be as frightening as his own reflection in the mirror? Still, Grotusque gamely laughs off even his own hideous apearence and alternate mode with a joke about Primus having had a little too much high-grade energon that day.

Toy commercial
Grotusque and the Monsterbots were created accidentally during an attempt to create new Autobots. Kup raced to warn Rodimus Prime and Blurr of the accident, as the wild Monsterbots trashed the lab where they were born. Thankfully the Decepticons attacked just then and the Monsterbots burst out of the building through the wall to fight them. In the ensuring battle, Grotusque traded fire with Scourge.

Dreamwave Comics continuity
{{note|In one of the extras in the Dark Ages trade paperback, Grotusque is listed as a member of Ratbat's evil Ultracon faction. This seems at odds with what we know of his personality, plus he never actually appeared in the comic at Ratbat's side. From cutting deals with Maximals to finding and keeping new power sources to himself, Terrorsaur is always thinking two steps ahead. While Predacon Megatron stole the Maximal relic, the Golden Disk, the Predacon who would later call himself Terrorsaur, along with an accomplice, stole a ship to use for their escape. The two had a contest to decide who would get to name the ship, and "Terrorsaur" won. He settled on Darksyde, though Megatron agreed that the loser's suggested name, Buzzerbot, would have been more desirable.
Picking up the rest of their group, with the Golden Disk in tow, they left Cybertron's orbit. His shining moment came when Terrorsaur discovered a floating mountain with an unstable cache of energon that super charged his frame and allowed him to easily depose Megatron. However, the power boost was brief in duration, and the Maximals were able to destroy the floating mountain before Terrorsaur could implement any of his grand designs. Even worse, none of the Predacons followed his lead and they brought Megatron back online while he was fighting the Maximals.Power Surge

Eventually, after being beaten back into line after each attempted takeover, Terrorsaur seemed to resign himself to his station... or, at least, decided to bide his time.

Terrorsaur's Beast Wars adventure came to an end when he was knocked into a lava pool by the quantum surge that resulted from the Planet Buster's destruction.

Beast Wars Playstation Game
Terrorsaur flew rescue missions, using his flight capabilities to rescue captured Predacons from the Maximals' prison ships.

3H Universe Comics
Terrorsaur (or an alternate-universe incarnation of him) was one of the many Cybertronians kidnapped from his timestream by agents of Unicron and held in the Cauldron. Terrorsaur escaped and (presumably) returned to his timestream thanks to the efforts of Trailbreaker and Silverbolt.
Beast Wars
*Terrorsaur (Basic)
: Japanese ID number: D-5

: Part of the first wave of Beast Wars toys, Terrorsaur transforms from an organic pteranadon to robot mode with a spring-loaded one-step transformation. In Japan, there are two different versions of this toy: one nearly identical to the Hasbro version, another with a more show-like coloration, lacking the green spots and purple paint, adding yellow to its beak and lightening the black plastic to gray.

: This mold was later used for Fractyl, Hydra, Lazorbeak and Dinobots Terranotron.

*Terrorsaur (Deluxe Transmetal)
: Japanese ID number: D-43

: Transmetal Terrorsaur transforms into a robotic pteranodon. It has a third "vehicle" mode; reconfiguring its wings and revealing VTOL fans, plus its tail section splits open to reveal twin thruster engines. In robot mode, its wing-tips detach to form blade weapons.

: This mold was later redecoed and slightly retooled to make Beast Machines Terranotron, and then redecoed and retooled differently to make Armada Terrorsaur. The mold was also the base model for the non-toy characters of Wreckers Fractyl and Armada Ravenus.

Merchandise
* A Kabaya "candy toy" version of Terrorsaur was made available in Japan. Since he was gang molded with the other three toys in the assortment, this unpainted plastic kit was mainly peach and yellow.

* An adorable "super-deformed" magnet of Terrorsaur was made as part of a set of show-cast Beast Wars magnets in Japan.

Trivia
* Terrorsaur apparently knows how to disarm a bomb (if he has enough time), since in Equal Measures Megatron orders him to disarm the Maximal bomb that was sent in the Predacon base.
* As Terrorsaur was dying in lava, his hand was briefly seen glowing, indicating that Terrorsaur was going through transmetalization. This was probably included as a "Trap Door" so the writers could resurrect Terrorsaur or Scorponok if they needed them later.

* Terrorsaur's CGI model in "Theft of the Golden Disc" is based on Skyblast with a new head design. However, his CGI model is slightly different from his appearance in "Dawn of Future's Past".

*According to CineFex magazine the inclussion of the Mountain Dew Robot in the film was a last minute addition and all the modeling and animation for it was done in only four weeks!
