Titan Heroes is a cross-property brand used by Hasbro to sell 12" or larger figures that are inexpensive to produce, durable, and minimally articulated. While the implementation in other properties worked out okay, the complex nature of many character designs left the Transformers offerings looking woefully under-painted and often misproportioned. Despite pretty much everyone's first impression, these were not third party knockoffs.

They also suck. Really suck.

Transformers: Prime
The line's initial offering of Transformers: Prime figures first appeared at Toys"R"Us in late spring 2013 ($25 for 16", $10 for 12") and trickled into other stores, although the 16" variety seems to only be sold at Toys"R"Us. By the end of 2013 it was possible to buy a two-pack of the 12" versions for $9.99 at Walgreens, with a $4 off coupon... and people still felt vaguely ripped off.
* The first wave packaging looks like a box but is actually more of a card wrapped into a box shape. It includes bio notes and tech spec numbers.
* The figures are fused together rather than held with screws, so they cannot be easily taken apart for customization or part-harvesting.
On Unification Day, Prowl was in the crowd gathered at Trypticon when Sentinel Prime announced that Optimus would head the Science Division and Megatron would become commander of the Defense Force. Foundation issue 2

Later, Prowl had become the apparent head of the Security Force, charged with sentry duties and under the authority of High Protector Megatron. After a surprise attack by unknown alien hostiles, he and Jazz checked up on the AllSpark, which was under guard by Bumblebee and Cliffjumper. The attack pattern indicated that the aliens were trying to breach the Simfur temple, leading Prowl to conclude that they were after the Cube. Following Protector Megatron's declaration of war against the aliens, Prowl and his team were not incorporated into the main army with the Defense Force, but continued their assigned sentry duties. Science Division leader Optimus asked for Prowl's feelings on the matter, and then asked if the two would do him a favor. Defiance issue 2 As it turned out, Optimus' request was to break into Megatron's private quarters, a task they complied with uneasily. Inside, they discovered a relic Optimus' team had uncovered earlier. However, when Skyblast contacted him and reported that Megatron was returning, Prowl hurried everyone out. Megatron dispatched a confused Prowl to arrest Optimus for treason. Optimus was quite angry, but complied with the order. Heading through the ruins of Metrotitan, Optimus realized that something was wrong when they were going down a road that Wreckage said was under reconstruction. Prowl agreed to Optimus' request to stop, but Starscream and his group ambushed them, with orders to kill them all. Prowl was injured in the attack and required repairs by Ratchet, and the team evacuated to Burthov. Defiance issue 3

Now, Prowl may be a stickler for the rules, but when your boss tries to kill you, it's time to find a new line of work. Prowl went underground with Optimus (or Optimus Prime as he was now being referred to), becoming his lieutenant. He and Optimus were observing sites for a new, more secure base when Jazz contacted him, saying that Ironhide wanted to speak with Prime. Prowl agreed to bring him back to base. Later, after discovering that Megatron was building a ship, Prowl theorized that there might be something wrong with the planet, and Ironhide mentioned a ship they could repair for themselves if that was true. Defiance issue 4 Prowl later watched as the Decepticons launched their ship, then participated in a mission to bring Sentinel Prime's new invention, the "torch", to the temple in Simfur. Foundation issue 3

Prowl was aboard the Ark when the vessel was being readied to launch and intercept the AllSpark and Megatron. While Optimus felt guilt over his decision to send the AllSpark into space, which would ultimately doom Cybertron, Prowl said that the act changed the Autobots' situation from certain death to a fighting chance. The Reign of Starscream issue 1
Prowl can change from a fighting autobot into a police car In just one step!

Notes
* Prowl was originally intended to be in the live action movie as part of the Autobots' original line up, but the writers liked the idea of an evil police car so much that Prowl was cut. <s>Better luck next time</s> <s>Third time's the charm</s> Fourth time's the...uh....something...
* Movie Prowl seems to have damn near exactly the same roles that his G1 counterpart had, both pre-war and post-war.
