:::What do you mean i am Cybertron Forever? I was just another regular person browsing through the site like anyone who wasn't registered wanting to learn more about the franchise until saw her work on this wiki, and it was because of her that i was inspired to become an user to make edits here, so much that i was really disappointed by the fact that she was abusing multiple account just because she didn't wanted to wait for just 3 damn months to return making edits. And so i decided to register myself on the Fandom website and stay there until this Cybertron Forever/King of shadows/yada yada yada mess was over, and then register myself here to make my part at contruibuting to it. Besides, if your claims were true, i would've just stay on the Fandom and never register myself in here in first place. Also, i'm not that Transformersbrasil guy, since i've discovered recently that my email was used an account that was registered in February of last year, something that i didn't do that time since i only discovered that TFWiki exists when i was searching on google about the Transformers: Prime cartoon being set after the Fall of Cybertron game, when it gave an result that led directly to the Aligned Continuity page here, and that was how i learned about this wiki's existence, making me come here to feed on every single information it could give for readers. You thought i was Cybertron Forever just because i created a page about Dylan's bodyguards, when i only created because i thought that it deserved to have, since Teletraan I on the Fandom has one, and your accusation really offended me. I even made a report about my email being used without my permission to see if they could find out the one who did this and they're still working on it. I'm telling you, i never did abused accounts in my life, i saw users on this wiki doing it, and my email was used for that without even i knowing about it.
First revealed at New York Toy Fair 2018, Studio Series, underneath the Generations banner, acts as a celebration of over ten years of live-action movies, with characters from every movie represented. It also coincided with Bumblebee, the sixth film in the live-action film series.

Each toy is numbered, with an indication of their movie of origin. All figures also come with a cardboard backdrop depicting a notable scene from their respective movie. Backdrops from separate figures representing the same scene are designed to be displayed side by side.

With rough robot mode scale as a line-wide goal, each figure is sized in relation to other toys, even in the same size class; 18 Deluxe Bumblebee is shorter than Jazz and 01 Bumblebee, who are in turn shorter than Ratchet and Lockdown.

The toyline boosts a greater accuracy than lines previous, due to using relative scale, as mentioned above, and using models in the films for reference as opposed to concept art, though this does fall short for early Bumblebee toys. Studio Series also explores toys for characters who had none before, or were left to a smaller size class.

First unveiled at the October 16th Fan First Friday, Studio Series 86 is a 2021 addition to the toyline that features characters from The Transformers: The Movie, in celebration of that film's 35th anniversary. The toys are in the style and scale of those from the concurrently-ran War for Cybertron Trilogy. Additionally, all Voyager Class toys in this subline feature blast effects compatible with the C.O.M.B.A.T. System.

These are even more complicated than usual, and that's before international releases come into play. Thundercracker was originally released as a worldwide Toys"R"Us exclusive, but due to the bankruptcy of Toys"R"Us in several countries, he only had a very short availability window in those markets. and was never added to the Toys"R"Us online store before the latter ceased operations. Likewise, the Bumblebee/Charlie 2-pack was originally intended as a Toys"R"Us exclusive but ultimately was only released that way in Canada, which still had Toys"R"Us by the time it came out. In the United States, both Thundercracker and the 2-pack were eventually made available through numerous online retailers such as BigBadToyStore, Entertainment Earth, ToyWiz, and TFSource, although the 2-pack was also inexplicably found at a single Target store several months earlier.

The Bumblebee Then & Now 2-pack was exclusive to Target in the United States and to Kmart in Australia; the Bumblebee Vol. 1 Retro Rock Garage set debuted at San Diego Comic-Con 2018 and was later also made available via Hasbro Toy Shop (and additionally was also available at general retail in Taiwan and was offered at Comic-Con Paris 2018); and both the Bumblebee Vol. 2 Retro Pop Highway set and the Drift/Baby Dinobots set appear to be "online exclusives" shared between the same online retailers that also offered Thundercracker and the Bumblebee/Charlie 2-pack, although both were initially claimed to be exclusive to Entertainment Earth. We say "appear" because the Retro Pop Highway set was also available at GameStop stores in the United States, and both sets were also listed in Diamond Comic Distributors' Previews catalog, so really the only "exclusivity" for these appears to be that neither of them is available from Walmart or Target. Battle Damaged Megatron was first found stocked by Hong Kong shops, and much later, was put up for pre-order on Toys"R"Us' Canadian website, and then on Target's US website before being found in stores. "As Seen In Parks" Megatron was officially exclusive to Universal Studios, but was released (almost a year after he had been officially revealed) in Hasbro's Asian markets first. Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the toy was only released exclusively to online retailers in the US. Leadfoot was released as a Target exclusive in the US.

Late 2020/early 2021 saw a celebration of everyone's favourite yellow Autobot in the Target exclusive Buzzworthy Bumblebee line.
Similar to Power of the Primes, in Takara's Studio Series (スタジオシリーズ) line, all figures are identical to their Hasbro counterparts, forgoing Takara's past practice of using more movie-accurate paint jobs. This is most likely due to the line being an official collaboration between Hasbro and TakaraTomy, much like the Masterpiece Movie Series line. ID numbering differs after number 8 compared to the Hasbro release, since some of the exclusives are not released in Japan. ==Notes==
*Studio Series can be considered a "sister series" to Hasbro's Star Wars: The Black Series and Marvel Studios: The First Ten Years, which are based around a similar concept and feature a similar overall packaging design.
*In July 2017, photos of a computer screen taken during an internal Hasbro presentation were leaked to the public that revealed, among other things, the very existence of the Studio Series general retail line-up, though not the actual title "Studio Series" yet (which was later revealed through separate leaks). The fact that the slides incorrectly featured projected release dates for "2017" instead of 2018 (which included dates predating the leak) led some fans to assume that the still unannounced line-up had long since been canceled. It wouldn't be until several leaks later that Hasbro finally acknowledged the existence of the Studio Series line, and revealed the first few waves during New York Toy Fair 2018, even offering a limited quantity of the first wave of Deluxe Class figures as an early release through the Hasbro Toy Shop website. Simultaneously, TakaraTomy revealed their version of the line at Wonder Festival Winter 2018.
*Among the figures whose existence was revealed through the aforementioned July 2017 leak that were not officially unveiled at Toy Fair was Voyager Class Ironhide, who made his worldwide debut at retail in Singapore in June 2018. Subsequently, Hasbro announced the redeco of Voyager Class Starscream (based on his appearance in Revenge of the Fallen), the final figure revealed through the July 2017 leak, via their "Hasbro Pulse" Instagram account a few days before San Diego Comic-Con, even though they still hadn't officially acknowledged the existence of Ironhide by that point.
* Like with previous movie-based lines, Studio Series also assigned code names to at least some of its characters. This time, the "theme" for those code names was "Australian race horses":

:The code names of many of the other figures, assuming they even had code names, are still unknown, as those toys have (thus far) consistently been listed under their actual characters' names. Meanwhile, a listing for a supposed Voyager Class figure using the code name "Destroyer" later turned out to be a mislabeled Energon Igniters Speed Series Barricade from the Bumblebee movie toy line, with which the Studio Series shares its code names.
*A few of the Voyagers and Deluxes of the previous two movie toylines scale fairly well with Studio Series figures. The latter of the two toylines, The Last Knight, seems to have a greater tie-in to the Studio Series lineup, as a few molds were also redecoed in this toyline as well as a few retools. Furthermore, the static figurine of Quintessa scales perfectly among these molds and also seems to serve as an inspiration for later pack-in figurines like Wheelie, Brains and the Mini Dinobots.
Ravage
:Ravage is a Decepticon from the Revenge of the Fallen portion of the live-action film continuity family.

Ravage specializes in infiltration. A frequent partner of Soundwave, he does the dirty work of the larger Decepticon. Ravage's body and armament are all dedicated to hitting the enemy before they even know what hit them. He can be orbitally inserted at fifteen times the speed of sound, spy inside highly secure locations using swarms of microcons, and generally ruin your day. He respects the danger humans present though, as they were the ones who managed to kill Megatron.

Perhaps due to his origin as a reengineered mechanimal, some doubt Ravage's sentience, and there is debate on the degree to which he is a distinct entity, rather than an extension of Soundwave's will. However, he's displayed guile, cunning, and split-second tactical thinking, making it hard for others to believe he does not have some innate intelligence. In reality, Ravage just considers the other Decepticons beneath him, and allows his eerie, silent ways and manner to alienate him from his comrades. Soundwave is the one exception: the two are kindred spirits, understanding each other's true nature and motives.
Frank Welker

From his vantage point high in orbit above Earth, Ravage's master Soundwave located the last remaining shard of the AllSpark in a NEST holding facility on Diego Garcia, and dispatched Ravage to retrieve it. Launched from Soundwave's chest, Ravage plummeted through Earth's atmosphere in re-entry mode and impacted just off Diego Garcia's shore, bounding to land in the blink of an eye. Quickly and stealthily, the feline Decepticon knocked several of the base's security sensors offline to cover his approach, then proceeded to vomit a large quantity of small, metallic spheres down a ventilation shaft. Once inside the base, the spheres transformed and combined into "Reedman", who successfully stole the shard and returned to the surface to reunite with Ravage. As the human soldiers attempted stop Reedman, Ravage provided cover fire, killing several humans in the process. The pair then made their escape.

Having secured the shard, Ravage traveled to the Bayos, a human freighter carrying the Constructicons which was passing the area of the sea in which Megatron was buried. After diving over the side of the barge and reaching the bottom where Megatron's body rested, Ravage ejected the Doctor from a compartment in his chest. While the Constructicons began to tear apart "ze little one", Ravage was going for a swim, apparently enjoying the water, but quickly ended his little frolic when the Doctor demanded the shard. After the Doctor resurrected Megatron using the AllSpark shard, Ravage and the Constructicons swam up to the surface following their revived leader.

Some time later, Ravage joined the other Decepticons in searching for Sam Witwicky and the Matrix of Leadership amid some Egyptian ruins. The forces of NEST soon arrived, and battle broke out, complicating their search. Spotting Sam, Starscream instructed Rampage to release Ron and Judy Witwicky. Ravage jumped out of the Constructicon when he ejected the fleshlings, and went stalking. Bumblebee managed to get the jump on Rampage, and Ravage in turn jumped on Bumblebee's head, clawing off part of his battle helmet. Unfortunately for Ravage, Bumblebee still had plenty of fight left in him, and he promptly dispatched the killer kitty by tearing out Ravage's own goo-covered spine. Ouch. He even used the torn out spine to whip Rampage across the face. Double Ouch. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (film)
As Optimus Prime leapt off an exploding launchpad and fought off several attacking Seekers, Soundwave ejected Ravage and commanded him to attack the Autobot leader as well. He fared much better than his full-sized comrades, evading several shots from Prime's ion blaster and even wrestling him to the ground, but ended up being grabbed by the jaw and bodily thrown off by the Autobot. His attack, however, bought the Decepticons some time to bring reinforcements and surround Optimus completely. Despite this, Prime managed to escape the planet. Bumblebee (film)
Ravage was dispatched to NEST's Scotland base to find, interrogate, and kill Skids and Mudflap before they could pass on information about the Decepticon plans. Easily breaking into one of the most secure bases on Earth, he went on to swiftly knock out Sideswipe and attempt to rip into the twins. While they were able to evade him, Ravage shrugged off any attack and finally cornered Mudflap, broadcasting Soundwave's demands to him.

This, however, was a trap the twins had set up, and Ravage found himself trapped in a simulated combat exercise. To escape, he faked unconsciousness and then snuck out the back when nobody was looking. Early in the war, Ravage joined Megatron's Decepticon malcontents in attacking Sentinel Prime and his archeological digs. After the moon landing of 1969, Soundwave sent Ravage to gather agents to ensure a stop to human exploration of the Ark. Convergence chapter 4

Months after Ravage's death at the hands of Bumblebee, his reconstructed form was brought back on-line in an undisclosed location by a mysterious new master. Subsequently, Ravage appeared outside Guantanamo Bay, searching for a "new target". Ravage snuck in, found the remains of the appliancebots and appropriated them. Ravage leaped into the ocean to escape the military, who had located him.

Ravage emerged on a beach near Air Force Base. Though he curled up on the ground to wait for further instructions from his unknown benefactor, he was once again discovered. Ravage destroyed several helicopters before being surrounded by soldiers and jeeps. To bolster his defensive, he unleashed Reedman, and although the smaller robot was eventually taken down, it provided the distraction needed to allow Ravage to escape into a petrochemical plant.

Deciding the relatively subtle approach wasn't working, officials at the White House asked the President of the United States for permission to level the plant. As the explosion engulfed the plant, Ravage tried to conceal himself beneath its foundation. Ravage's attempt to survive was mostly successful; his damaged form was still online, waiting in a pit beneath the rubble for new instructions. Shortly after, Soundwave, disturbed by Ravage's reactivation, dispatched a quartet of minions (Buzzsaw, Rumble, Beastbox and Ratbat) to investigate. This soon erupted into a conflict with cleanup crews and Autobot reinforcements, which prompted Soundwave to intervene. Although the battle resulted in several casualties on both sides, Ravage was undisturbed. While the other Decepticons retreated, Buzzsaw stuck around to tend to Ravage. Nefarious issue 1 Buzzsaw managed to get Ravage operational, and the pair burst out of the ruins of the petrochemical plant, surprising an NSA team which was investigating the disaster zone. Soundwave ordered Ravage to find a quiet location. There Soundwave rendezvoused with him in order to give him a scan. Ravage subsequently accompanied Soundwave in going to the aid of a Decepticon team in Wendover, under attack by Autobot forces. He attacked Ironhide and was thrown aside. Nefarious issue 2
Ravage was used as the basis for an army of drone units, who were part of the constant attacks on the Autobot's LG Stronghold. These Ravage drones were weak, but fast, and attacked in great numbers. Autobot Stronghold
: Part of the third wave of Revenge of the Fallen Deluxe Class toys, Ravage transforms from "panther mode" into a "reentry mode" based on a fish-like mode used for pre-production animatics. (The "reentry mode" is exactly as involved as it looks.) He has two pivotable cannons, and by pulling back on the long lever/spike on his back, Ravage's head will extend forward, his ears will swing back, and his jaws will open; sliding the lever back and forth will reverse and reactivate the gimmick. The tip of his tail is on a ball joint and can be popped off. His waist also plugs into his torso by a ball joint, so his toy sort of meets the same fate as him.

: During part of 2010, Hasbro did a promotion wherein US fans could receive three free Deluxes in exchange for receipts showing the purchase of $25 or more of select Transformers product. As noted in this thread over at Allspark.com, and later confirmed by this listing here, Ravage was one of a pool of eight figures (all from the same wave) from which the free Deluxes were drawn, with several people having noted receiving him.

Notes
* Ravage and Soundwave were part of an early draft for Transformers. However, when Soundwave was changed to Blackout and the initial jungle setting was replaced with a desert, Ravage was changed to Scorponok.
* As with poor Scorponok, sources differed on how sentient Ravage was. Luckily for Ravage, Hasbro's website outright states him to be a sentient being.
*Whether through misinformation or to hide his identity, the Ravage deluxe figure shows up in the Wal-Mart computers as "TRA DLX WOLF". Of course, they're not the first to make this mistake. However, when it scans at a register, it commonly comes up as "TRA MOV PANTHER".
*In the Revenge of the Fallen novelization, Ravage has a flying alternate mode. He flew out to the freighter where the four Constructicons were waiting and transformed on deck. While descending into the ocean, he was described as a sphere, so he might have two alternate modes. (His Burger King toy perhaps?)
*In the scene where all the Constructicons wait aboard the barge for Ravage and the AllSpark shard to arrive, a red bulldozer resembling Rampage is visible in the flyover shot. When the scene cuts to when Ravage crash-lands into the bulldozer, it is suddenly recolored yellow to resemble Skipjack. When the Constructicons transform into robot mode and dive into the ocean, the bulldozer is colored red again.
**Therefore, Rampage is the one who Ravage crashes into and remains present for Megatron's resurrection. Trying to distinguish how many Constructicons appeared in Revenge of the Fallen only continues to get harder with each watch.
* Despite having a red/orange eye in the movie, all of Ravage's toys and merchandise had a purple one until his Legends figure and the Sea Attack Ravage redeco.
* On his blog, Furman said that Ravage's spine-torn death was a late addition to the film... so late that IDW Publishing had already made Ravage a key part of their post-ROTF comics! Quick, to the Rewritemobile!
* Originally, Ravage was intended to also have an aquatic alternate mode, where he swam to Diego Garcia as a spike-covered fish. The reason for dropping this was not stated.
*Ravage was in an early draft of The Reign of Starscream, but was dropped at Hasbro's request.
*Ravage's Cybertronian design in Bumblebee is heavily influenced by his Generation 1 namesake, right down to the cassette tape mode. His Earth body in The Battle at Half Dome adds a touch of his Revenge of the Fallen design.
You have to get up pretty early in the morning to get one over on Grindor. A master strategist, and close combat specialist, Grindor can predict his opponents' next move before they know it themselves. It's reached the point where it's less planning and more instinct on his part. With every possible move planned out beforehand, Grindor confidently wades into the center of battle, ready for any and all comers. Well, ready for everyone except this guy, that is.

Grindor shares a striking similarity with Blackout, leading to some having confusion about who's who. He also works with Scorponok on occasion.
Ordered by The Fallen to capture Sam Witwicky for the information that the AllSpark had imprinted in his mind, Megatron led Starscream and Grindor to Earth, waiting for the human boy to be flushed out by one of their agents. Grindor captured the humans' escape vehicle and brought it to an abandoned industrial facility where Starscream and Megatron were waiting. While Grindor waited outside, Megatron and Scalpel interrogated the boy, preparing to extract the information by removing his brain, a process that was interrupted by the arrival of Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. Optimus briefly fought off Megatron and Starscream before escaping with Sam into the woods.

Megatron followed, but soon called in his minions for assistance. Grindor played little part in the opening attack, grabbing the Autobot leader and sawing into his face before being knocked away, but eventually gathered on the outnumbered and outgunned, but defiant Optimus Prime. The Autobot leader immediately unsheathed both battle blades and attacked the Decepticons, cutting off Grindor's right arm, slashing into his chest, sending some of Starscream's artillery his way and throwing his right battle blade into the Decepticon's leg. Badly hurt, Grindor required some downtime before he could rejoin the battle, during which Optimus stabbed Megatron and ripped off Starscream's arm.
Grindor was just pulling out the deenergized blade Prime had swung into him when the Autobot unleashed his Energon Hooks and jabbed it into his optic, using the leverage to pull himself onto the Decepticon. Once on top, Prime then struck another hook into Grindor, then proceeded to tear his head apart, killing Grindor. Grindor was dispatched to Las Vegas by Soundwave, who refused to tell him what he was looking for and directed him to some old car. He was a bit fed up until he was told to cut open said car and remove its insides, fun fun fun! Once he'd secured the Cybertronian "memory tree", he came under attack by NEST forces intending to capture him. Using his rotors, he created a whirlwind that hurled cars at his enemies, but they easily managed to anchor him to the ground with an electrified cable before he could retreat.

Later, as part of Soundwave's plan, those two dumbasses were in the Decepticons, and poor Grindor had to put up with them jabbering in his ear. He pleaded with Soundwave to tell him that he didn't really trust them to bring in Ransack, and was relieved to find out they were just bait; when he asked what would happen if they survived, he was told he would make sure they didn't.
To his annoyance, the twins succeeded by talking instead of shooting. He agreed with Sideways that this sort of thing was an abomination and must be stopped, and shot Ransack out the sky. Skids was able to keep him contained and occupied with suppressive fire, while Mudflap took down Sideways, but Grindor decided to just grab Ransack and bug out, leaving Sideways behind and threatening to get even with the twins another time. Transformers Comic issue 2.7
Grindor served in a similar capacity amongst the Decepticons to that which Ironhide served for the Autobots - he was the Heavy Weapons Guy. Big, slow, durable, and seriously over-armed with a gatling gun and an energon wave cannon. Grindor could even drop off gun turrets for that extra added overkill.

During the Decepticons' missions in China, Grindor oversaw their supposedly secret mission in Shanghai, until his forces were detected and routed by NEST and the Autobots. Imprisoned in the docks, Sideways had to come and rescue his comrade.

On the United States West Coast, Grindor was assigned to hack into NEST's communication network in the downtown area. Fighting through its Autobot Protectobot defenders, Grindor managed to link up with each of the town's five communications arrays, furthering the Decepticon cause.

On the East Coast, Grindor was assigned to capture Ladiesman217, designation Samuel Witwicky. After destroying the human's dorm building, Grindor took Witwicky to the nearby foundry where he would be interrogated by Megatron. However, during this process, the Autobots sent waves of Protectobots against Grindor in an attempt to save the boy, but they failed. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (Xbox 360/PS3/PC)
Grindor was present in Brazil when he and Sideways met the new Decepticon recruit. He later called Starscream a waste of Decepticon after the former stated that reviving Megatron would be a waste of the AllSpark shard's power, and was the first Decepticon to mention The Fallen. He and Starscream later destroyed an oil rig and he later helped tell the recruit about The Fallen's history.

In Asia, he sent the recruit on a mission to destroy some forcefield generators in Tokyo. During the mission to revive Megatron, he dropped off the recruit at the base where the shard was being kept, and Starscream protected him from NEST jets while Megatron was being revived. When Soundwave learned about the energy signature in New York City, Grindor urged Megatron to send him there. Megatron, however, had other work for him, but promised that he would get this chance, but for one reason or another, he was never seen again. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen: Autobots/Decepticons

:Revenge of the Fallen Legends Grindor is a redeco of the first movie's Legends class Blackout toy in a light blue base color with digital camouflage. Legends Grindor is a small and highly simplified version of the character, featuring limited articulation and detail, with the helicopter mode not being a particularly faithful recreation of a MH-53 Pave Low heavy-lift helicopter. (The placement of the fuel tanks, in particular, makes him look more like a CH-53 Sea Stallion.) Even though the robot mode sports an attempt to emulate the movie character's chest design, this does not involve the use of obvious fake elements of the helicopter mode's cockpit, unlike other Legends Class toys of movie characters. As with all wave three Legends figures, the photo on the back of the figure's packaging shows a mis-transformed robot mode, where his arms are not folded down.
**Japanese ID number: RD-18
**Accessories: Scorponok mini-figure

:Grindor is a redeco of the first movie's Voyager class Blackout figure in a more military-accurate grey colour scheme. The little Scorponok mini-figure has been redecoed to reflect the colour changes on the Revenge of the Fallen release of Deluxe class Scorponok (even though the two never appear together in the film).

:Grindor transforms into a reasonably accurate MH-53 Pave Low. An aft "cage" compartment can be opened to release a small PVC figurine of his partner, Scorponok. A button under his tail rotor can be pressed in a geared action to rotate his rotor blades. By attaching the Deluxe-class Scorponok to his underside, the rotor gimmick also spins Scorponok's claws.

: During transformation, Grindor's (mind-numbingly delicate) Automorphing gimmick is activated when the user swings down his legs, which in turn flips the gray chest section his head is mounted upon up and into position, and lifts his back assembly and locks it into place behind his head. Another, less impressive automorph is in his legs—if you pull his knees down, his shin armor pops out a bit. The entire rotor assembly on his back can be removed and converted into a gigantic fan weapon, to represent vaguely the hand-held rotor-blade weapon he and Blackout wield in the films. Because of the size of his rotor assembly, Grindor is also much shorter than most Voyager-class figures despite his bulk, barely taller than a Deluxe figure.

: It is very easy for the gears in the cockpit/chest to become misaligned during transformation, enough so that the chest/head section refuses to align with the cockpit halves. Getting the gears back into alignment is a veritable nightmare, as so many other parts shift and move as you attempt to manipulate the respective pieces. Swinging the legs down locks the back assembly into place for robot mode, but simply swinging the legs back does not unlock it, with the user being required to separate the parts actively by hand. Failing to do so is sure to misalign your Grindor to bejeezus.

: This version of Grindor is in perfect scale with Cyberverse Commander Optimus Prime.

: An interesting side note is that the two hard points located on Grindor's shoulders, intended to support his abominably large weapon, are actually the same size as the Mini-Con Powerlinx plugs on most Unicron Trilogy figures.

:The original Blackout release of this mold was retooled as Movie Evac and Revenge of the Fallen Whirl.
:Missile Assault Grindor is a redeco of the first movie's Gyro Blade Blackout in a more military-accurate grey colour scheme. He is a simplified version of Grindor/Blackout design, designed for smaller children. His rotor blade can be detached and inserted into his left hand to represent the hand-held rotor blade seen in the film, just like the Voyager class version. He also features a chest cannon which can be flipped up from his back. Oddly, you can only see one-fourth of Grindor's head from a 90-degree angle. Blackout. Grindor. They all look the same to me.
* Revenge of the Fallen never explicitly establishes Grindor as a separate character from Blackout. Screenwriter Roberto Orci, when asked, was not sure whether they were supposed to be the same character or not. In the Hasbro Q&A for July 2009, it was confirmed that Grindor, not Blackout, appears in the movie.
*In the novel, his name is never used, just the descriptor "huge Russian helicopter."
*Internal files for the Revenge of the Fallen video game identify this character as Blackout, indicating that the game had been developed with the understanding that they were the same character... but had dialogue re-recorded to refer to him as Grindor.
*On the cross-sell for "The Fury of Fearswoop" multipack, Grindor is mistakenly given the name Blackout.
*In Revenge of the Fallen: The Movie Universe, Blackout is featured instead of Grindor. Guess the writer didn't get the memo in time.
*In the Revenge of the Fallen: The Junior Novel, Blackout is the character assisting Megatron and Starscream in the Forest against Optimus rather than Grindor.
*The 2-disc special edition of Revenge of the Fallen features some still poses of the Autobots and Decepticons, and names the helicopter as Blackout.

Alternate mode
*Although his toys (and seemingly the CG model of his robot mode) are identical to Blackout's, and although the toys' packaging retains Pave Low licensing information, Grindor's alt mode in the movie is in fact a CH-53E Super Stallion—essentially a slightly upsized Pave Low operated by the US Marine Corps. The ROTF video games include licensing information for the Super Stallion instead of the Pave Low. The alt mode switch may be explained by the retirement of the USAF's Pave Lows in 2008.
*Grindor only has six main rotor blades on his back (and his arm-mounted weapon made from the same parts at the same time) while a normal CH-53E Super Stallion has seven main rotor blades.
*The CH-53E has a different nose from the Pave Low, with the large bulb replaced by two windows, another feature not incorporated in his robot mode.

Other
*Frank Welker is not credited for the voice of Grindor in the credits of the film itself, but his "Official Homepage" would later credit him for the role. While we're not entirely convinced that the page wasn't simply updated by someone who read it on Wikipedia, the "sheeeagh" that Grindor lets out as Optimus Prime rips his head apart is pretty unmistakeably Welker.
*The master strategic skills and battle prowess his on-package bio goes on about come off a little less than impressive when you realize his tech specs give him a "Skill" level of... 4. That makes him one better at his job than these guys.
**Those same skills also come off a little less than impressive when you realize that Grindor did virtually nothing during the forest battle, basically only managing to saw Prime's face before then getting his arm cut off and his chest slashed open, assaulted by Starscream's artillery, getting a blade thrown into his leg and then getting his face torn open by Prime's hooks. For a master strategician, Grindor comes off as quite dumb in battle.
*According to Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen: The Movie Universe, Blackout's height is 33 feet tall. By extension, this would also be Grindor's height, as evidenced in the game. However, one can see that during the Forest Battle, Grindor is clearly much taller than Megatron (who is 35 feet tall) and about twice the size of Optimus (who is 28 feet tall). Therefore, Grindor should be about 55 feet tall.
*Blackout/Grindor's head design is re-used on some of the Decepticon Protoforms that appear in Revenge of the Fallen and Dark of the Moon, specifically the ones with large horns on their shoulders.

Foreign names
*Japanese: Grindor (グラインダー Guraindā)
