::It has the benefit of leaving no question who the article refers to.
::Also-- I'm not entirely sure about the "looks liek Scrapper, but has a different altmode." The scene in the film is clearly the product of two different 'shoots,' with backgrounds and vehicle positions not matching up, and the long shots showing different vehicles than the close-ups. A lot of the confusion about The Little One's identity comes from that-- there's a truss crane in some of the shots that's simply not there in others. -Derik 03:22, 13 July 2009 (EDT)
:::::Our best evidence, if we take everything literally, is that G1 Soundwave is a triple-changer capable of transforming into a perfect facsimile of Sideswipe's robot mode between shots.
:::::It's a good thing we don't take everything 100% literally, because the inability to recognize a mistake as a mistake would be crippling. -Derik 19:07, 14 July 2009 (EDT)
:::It seems too unlikely to me that a red excavator transforms into a Scrapper-like robot - for one thing, there's no known example of a Transformer changing colour between modes in the Movieverse. It's possible that Scavenger was originally intended to join the others before they finalised his alt-mode, as occurs in some of the adaptations such as Rise of the Decepticons where the main image on the ROTF Constructicons page comes from. Given that the vehicle-shots before Devastator transforms don't match up with the transformation itself, I'm of the opinion that it's another editing goof and 'ze little one' is simply a Scrapper unit. :::::Oops, you're right, my bad. I still think it's a editing goof, but the alt mode being smaller and the same colour does add more credibility to the theory. Tarrn 18:14, 30 July 2009 (EDT)
::Wait, how did an allspark fragment revive someone killed by the WHOLE allspark?
:::Maybe because he was alive when he got killed but was dead when he got revived (I know it sounds obvious but keep reading because I don't mean it like that) just like electricity, when your alive it kills you (stops your heart) but when you are dead (with a stopped heart) it brings you back to life (restarts your heart). :::Would it be at all possible to ask Orci, Bay, or any of the other reliable sources on this in the same manner we ask Wyatt things? If not, could someone remember to bring it up at the next interview with them (if there's room)? The compromise we're using works for now, but it is kind of iffy, and a clear explanation from someone in charge should clean this right up.KrytenKoro 00:35, 16 July 2009 (EDT)
It's PURE ENERGY!" *Sam puts cube in Meg's chest* "Aaaaaaaaaargh!" *melt melt melt melt melt* (by the way, heat is a form of energy). == Screentime ==

Rampage and Demolisher got whole scenes to themselves, and Mixmaster at least had that thing on top of the Brooklyn Bridge, as well as being the focus of every panning scene with the Constructicons. Long Haul I think was also there for a while in the scene with Simmons, and is easily more idenitifiable than the other Constructicons in most of the scenes including them. Honestly, even if ze little one was Scrapper, he got barely any screentime whatsoever - I had to be looking for him in the desert scene, once I knew he appeared there, to even see him, and Hightower and Overload didn't appear at all in robot form. As such, I don't think that the Q&A thing can be claimed to explicitly identify Scrapper as distinct from ze little one with the wording it uses.KrytenKoro 05:41, 12 August 2009 (EDT)

Ze little one body-type as left leg
Okay, right from the start, I'll admit this is completely baseless speculation. However, with the exception of Kickback (who might share Rampage's alt-mode, both being bulldozers), there are no other Constructicons that only have a single body-type, and it's been noted in several places that a single Rampage is too small to create Devastator's left leg. ZLO is a yellow tracked construction vehicle with a similar mass to Long Haul, and since we never see exactly what becomes the left leg in the movie...

I know there isn't a Volvo excavator in the scene where Devastator forms, but then, there's only one bulldozer and it's commonly thought that at least two Rampages make up Devastator, and the vehicles-rolling-up section doesn't match the transformation section of the scene anyway. I also know that all the official information on Devastator lists Rampage as the left leg component, but then the film contradicts that anyway as it clearly shows him becoming the left hand, and if two Rampages do form the leg then that also contradicts the single-Rampage-as-leg canon. Might as well throw out crazy ideas since there's no official consensus on which Constructicon does what. Tarrn 06:48, 15 August 2009 (EDT)

Is all this speculation neccesary?
This is kinda pointless. Does it really matter what his actual name is? There are hundreds of other autobots and decepticons on Earth in this (like most, if not every) continuity that haven't been even talked about in the fiction, of course with not one being given a name. So what's the difference if this character has an actual name? 70.100.243.71
A profound and moving narrative that forces the audience to re-evaluate all conceptions of their identity. Both thrilling and immersive, The Beast Within redefines the era as it forces a new standard of storytelling. Starting on an epic battle comparable to Lord Of Ring or Matrix, but the conflict pales in comparison to the internal emotional sturggle of Grimlock as he's forced to restraint his own emotions for the sake of his tactical ideology. Pushes to both physical and psychological limit, he and his compatriots fused, physically and conceptually into a unified truth that mirrors us all. But with this revelation of this most sacred ability comes a new threat to the Autobots, and yet a threat familar. Try reading it for sheer laughs. Its kinda funny seeing Cosmos go down in flames, and the Decepticon cheerleading squad's "Kill it Predaking!!!" is a hoot! When (and WHY) was this established as canon? --Evil-yuusha 14:00, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

:TF canon is everything that Hasbro and/or Takara has approved of ever. If the DVD release was official (it was, wasn't it?), then the included comic must've been approved as well. - Jackpot 20:46, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
::Yeah its an official DVD set from Metrodome in the UK. --FFN 21:29, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
::I think this definition confuses the word "canon" with "official." The story is (sadly) undeniably official. I don't think that it can be considered "canon," because (as is stated within the article itself) it can't fit in pretty much any known continuity. Yeah, yeah, I know what the linked Wiki article says. My point stands. There's no such thing as a "single item canon."--[[User:G.B. Blackrock|G.B. :::I don't think it can be considered any more canon than those one-shot catalogue comics that came with the Armada toys. Takeshi357 17:00, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
So... no one has scans of the second part of the story? This really feels like something one must view in its entirety... Detour 00:34, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
:NO. In fact, I propose the the deletion of this entire article and anything related to it, so we can all safely pretend it doesn't even exist. Takeshi357 13:48, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
:: Scans of both parts can be got at http://www.megaupload.com/?d=9M0UNCLC - the plus side is they're in Spanish, and all the better for it (sounds like the lettering is an improvement for a start). The downside is it's still crap. The Ideon 16:37, 31 May 2009 (EDT)
Can we get some more justification on this wording? "Because." isn't very sufficient, except to imply that it's just to be goofy. Which is fine, in theory, but this particular execution doesn't work. It just looks like bad English. --Sntint 21:40, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
