Rapido was created in one of [[Earth]]'s [[Cyberfactory|Cyberfactories]] as part of a new generation; specifically, he was "born" in [[Madrid]], [[Spain]]. During a battle outside of the [[Large Hadron Collider]] in [[Switzerland]], Rapido ordered a fall back after [[Pyro (G1)|Pyro]] was captured. Minutes later, when [[Scorch (G1)|Scorch]] and [[Streetwise (G1)|Streetwise]] tried to take over, Rapido balked at being treated like a child, despite only being a minor in [[Earth]] years. When Scorch objected to his formulating a rescue plan, Rapido reminded him that he technically outranked all Autobots on [[Earth]] in emergency situation, as authorized by [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]] himself.

Eventually the Autobots went on the counterattack to stop the Decepticons from seizing the power of the Collider and to save Pyro. While most the Autobots kept the Decepticons busy, Rapido took [[Meanstreak]] and Streetwise to the back entrance. While his low-yield photo missiles were unable to crack the door, Streetwise's knock caused it to tumble. Once inside they met with a duo of [[Sharkticon (G1)|Sharkticon]] guards and attempted to use the [[universal greeting]] to quell them. When this proved fruitless, Rapido transformed and crashed the guards through the door they were guarding, right into the room where Pyro was being held!

The rescue team began getting pummeled by the [[Forestonite]]-infused Decepticons. Rapido shot his missiles to free Pyro, evening the odds a little. When [[Breakdown (G1)|Breakdown]] saw this, he shot the rest of the Forestonite, resulting in its gaseous form filling the building and powering up all the [[Transformer]]s within. Rapido found he now had the power of super speed, and used it to outrun [[Sky-Byte (G2)|Sky-Byte's]] missiles, leading them into the main skirmish and having them hit [[Cindersaur (G1)|Cindersaur]] instead. When the Decepticons retreated, Rapido attended to the humans and later enjoyed a drink of energon. {{storylink|Generation 2: Redux}}

He was assigned a set of specialized Drones as part of the [[Power Core Combiners]] program, and sent on a transport mission, where he began to chafe under having to maintain the highway speed limit. He began to wonder what had happened to the missing [[Blaze Master|Choppermaster]], and quickly realized that if the Decepticons ''had'' gotten their hands on his comrade's Drones, odds were he was the next target.

His flash of insight saved him from a hail of missiles launched by [[Onslaught (G1)|Combatmaster]], who had set up the purloined Drones along the road in an ambush. == Bounty hunter or not? ==

To most who visit this page, we are already familiar with the previous incarnation of this character's profession as a "Bounty Hunter". If you've read the previous discussion/"argument" (of sorts) with Detour, then you'll understand where I stand on the subject, if not, then please read the following.

It's argued that information "leaked" should not be entered into a wiki, though most arguably fair-enough assumptions are accepted; including, concerning this character, that he "steals parts", due to him being able to connect and use Ratchet's EMP weapon (a very specific characteristic to the previous incarnation). The characteristic of stealing parts is an attribute that is well-documented on the Animated incarnation of the character (again, more specifically the case with Ratchet's EMP weapon), as is another well-documented attribute being his profession as a "bounty hunter".

This character has been noted as an "homage" to the previous version, which even extended to an alternate form extremely similar to the previous version, a "hook" weapon (commonly found in the character's right hand), and to include him as an enemy to this continuity's version of Arcee and Ratchet (officially declared on Hasbro's TF site). Given all the various information both official and safely assumed, is it not then also safe to assume his profession would also carry over strongly intact enough to be placed in this article?

After a boy unknowingly unearthed Predaking's head, the Emperor summoned his four servants to awaken from their sleep. Budora and Gaidora set out to find the red [[Legendisc]]. Finding it in the ownership of [[Isami Tatewaki]]'s grandfather, they attacked and threatened the safety of bystanders till Isami handed over the Legendisc. Fortunately, the Legendisc summoned the [[Swordbot Samurai Team]] in response to Isami's desperation. With Bakudora in tow, Budora used the blue Legendisc in Predaking to travel to the [[Sengoku period]]. There, they found the green Laserdisc in the possession of [[Musashi Miyamoto]] and stole it, earning the swordsman's enmity. With the power of the green Legendisc, Budora claimed to seek to rule the past, but brushed it off a joke when Bakudora pointed out this would betray Predaking. They were soon found by the Samurai Team, who came from the future to stop their interference with the natural path of history. And besides, looking at all the Predacons, give this one some love....the rest are all generic 'dragon' named, this is a specificly named species. That implies there were thousands of ursagryphs running around Cybertron at some point. That may be, or it may not be. It could be that an ursagryph is a species of Predacon like Triceratops is a species of dinosaur, or it could be that the species is "Predacon" and they just have a wide variety of forms, including a few ursagryphs. I tend to think it is the latter, since that is how Transformers tend to work. Transformers themselves are kind of a species and they have a wide variety of forms. I don't see personally, how the Fuzor argument enters into it. A Fuzor is just a mix of two different real world animal species. There's no "hammerhead hawk" species, a Fuzor is a hammerhead species plus a hawk species jumbled together. An Ursagyph is not a Fuzor version of a Bear+Griffon/Gryphon, it's a Gryphon like entity with ursine characterisitcs to it. I still think also this should remain in the 'Cybertronic wildlife' category - all of Prime's Predacons are stated as being ancient CYBERTRONIAN anima life. Grimwing, Darksteel and Budora aren't taking the form of an Earth being, if both the IDW comics and TV show state the in-fiction truth: Shockwave's rebirthing them as clones, not making Predacons up to design specs of his own. It's a resurrection of the species, of a species upon ancient Cybertron, not a Beast Wars style disguise mode. Besides, it'd be one of the few Cybertronic species that's not named silly.
