Triturator: Not an error, happened before in Episode 1, it's the equivalent of asking "Why didn't Optimus shoot Megatron first", sometimes it's just how scenes play-out, maybe his reaction time sucked, etc. But it is no true contradiction.

''At some point in the past, a disoriented Bumblebee comes to on an icy mountainside, and is briefly confused by a mountain goat.''

In the present day, [[Windblade (Cyberverse)|Windblade]], still inside Bumblebee's mind, finishes watching yet another memory. Although Bumblebee still can't remember anything meaningful about the location of the [[Ark (Cyberverse)|Ark]], Windblade finds the image of the mountain familiar and consults the ship's logs to determine that they're in the [[Himalayas]]. Leaving a disappointed Bumblebee to guard the ship, she sets off. In the meantime, Bumblebee distracts himself by watching some human [[television]] on the [[Decepticon scout ship|scout ship]]'s monitors.

Having arrived in the Himalayas, Windblade is unaware that her communications between herself and Bumblebee have been picked up by the [[Decepticon]]s [[Thundercracker (Cyberverse)|Thundercracker]] and [[Nova Storm (Cyberverse)|Nova Storm]]. Their commander [[Slipstream (Cyberverse)|Slipstream]] instructs them to follow the signal while she catches up with them.

Somewhere in the upper slopes of the mountain range, Windblade arrives at the spot she saw in Bumblebee's memory and uses her fans to reveal a [[stasis pod]] of [[Autobot]] manufacture and a blaster, both left abandoned in the snow. Unfortunately, that's all she finds: her scans are unable to pick up the ''Ark'' itself, and she's unaware that the Decepticons have tailed her to her present location until the three [[Seeker]]s reveal themselves!

Captured by the Decepticons, Windblade is interrogated by Slipstream for information on the location of [[Optimus Prime (Cyberverse)|Optimus Prime]] and the other Autobots, her glib answers only infuriating Slipstream and providing her with the window to break free and escape. A battle ensues as Windblade makes her escape, and though Windblade is able to send Thundercracker tumbling off a cliff, Nova Storm proves a tougher foe, and Windblade herself is nearly thrown off the same cliff before taking Nova Storm down, then uses her fans to drop Slipstream before finally escaping.

Back at the ship, Windblade catches up with Bumblebee about her adventure, and happily presents him with his old blaster. Now, Windblade is certain that they're on the right track: the ''Ark'' is somewhere on Earth, and they'll have to find it before the Decepticons do!

Years after the [[Great War (Prime)|Great War]], the Autobot prison ship ''[[Alchemor (RID)|Alchemor]]'' crashes on [[Earth]] near [[Crown City]], sparking a mass [[Decepticon]] jailbreak. Meanwhile, on a rebuilt [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]], war veteran [[Bumblebee (WFC)|Bumblebee]] is now working as a street cop, mentoring Cadet [[Strongarm (RID)|Strongarm]]. Bumblebee is alerted to the danger on Earth by a vision of a ghostly [[Optimus Prime (WFC)|Optimus Prime]], who directs them to a nearby [[space bridge]].

Bumblebee unwillingly finds himself accompanied to Earth by Strongarm, and the delinquent [[Sideswipe (RID)|Sideswipe]], where they encounter [[Fixit (RID)|Fixit]], sole caretaker of the former prison ship. They're joined by the ex-Decepticon prisoner [[Grimlock (RID 2015)|Grimlock]], [[human]] scrapyard owner [[Denny Clay]] and his son [[Russell Clay|Russell]]. Although he's not confident in his leadership abilities, Bumblebee nevertheless pledges to round up the inmates of the ''Alchemor''. Chief among the Decepticon threat is the charismatic [[Steeljaw (RID)|Steeljaw]], who seeks to organize the escaped prisoners into an [[Steeljaw's Pack|effective cabal]] to conquer the planet.

The first season had a "villain of the week" approach, in which most episodes would follow a pattern: it would feature a new Decepticon foe, usually with an animal-motif, that would prove to be a threat to the [[Bee Team (RID)|Bee Team]], only to be taken down by the end of the episode and be placed back into a [[stasis pod]]. Most Decepticons featured, barring those who became part of Steeljaw's Pack, had little-to-nothing to do with eachother besides being ''Alchemor'' immates. Early episodes rarely deviated from this pattern, but this theme was effectively toned down in later seasons when larger, overaching threats came into play.

Most episodes also featured recurring subplots and running-gags focusing on certain characters: Bumblebee's trouble coming up with a [[Roll out|rallying cry]] and trouble leading his team in general, Strongarm and Sideswipe's rivalry with each other, Grimlock's difficulty finding an appropriate Earth disguise (because being a giant metal dinosaur would attract a lot of attention) and Fixit's glitching problem. These smaller stories would often affect the main plot, causing Bee's Team to face additional obstacles in several episodes.

Over the course of the first season, new Autobots bolster the ranks of the team, including the bounty hunter [[Drift (RID)|Drift]], his two Mini-Cons [[Jetstorm (RID)|Jetstorm]] and [[Slipstream (RID)|Slipstream]], the mysterious [[Windblade (RID)|Windblade]], and finally Optimus Prime himself, returned to life by the [[Thirteen]] to defeat [[The Fallen|Megatronus]].

Season 2 sees Bumblebee's team split into two groups: an "away team" to search the world for far-ranging Decepticons while Bumblebee, Strongarm, Grimlock, and Fixit hold down the fort near Crown City. Still recovering from his humiliating rout at the hands of Megatronus, Steeljaw allies with a mysterious group of Decepticons led by [[Saberhorn]], [[Glowstrike]] and [[Scorponok (WFC)|Scorponok]], operating out of the crashed ''Alchemor'', which they call "Decepticon Island". True to form, Steeljaw plots to rise through the ranks of this new army and seize control of the group for himself.

The second season features more frequent references to predecessor series ''Prime'' in an effort to forge a stronger sense of continuity between the two. Coinciding with this, the season sees the return of multiple regulars from ''Prime'' in special guest appearances: [[Ratchet (WFC)|Ratchet]], now partnered with a silent Mini-Con named [[Undertone]], and [[Soundwave (WFC)|Soundwave]], still accompanied by [[Laserbeak (WFC)|Laserbeak]]. This season also begins to drop the "villain of the week" theme, though it is still present, in favor of having a larger overarching threat in the form of Decepticon Island.

This season was also very [[To sell toys|toy-driven]] in that it featured several returning Decepticons from the first season, as well as new Mini-Con and Deployer characters, who had newly received toys. As such, Mini-Cons were also a big focus of this season, with at least one appearing in every episode. Following the Season 2 proper, this trend would continue into a "mini-series" of sorts, referred to as "Season 3" by several official sources before the announcement of a full third season. This six-episode run sees the return of [[Starscream (WFC)|Starscream]], who seeks the mysterious Mini-Con [[Weaponizer]]s, who have reluctantly partnered with a group of Decepticon [[Scavenger (RID 2015)|Scavengers]] searching Earth for abandoned Cybertronian relics.

The actual Season 3 is titled "Combiner Force". Bumblebee and his crew must harness the power of combination and form [[Ultra Bee]] in order to defeat the [[Stunticon (Prime)|Stunticon]]s. At the same time, Soundwave has sent a group of Minicons to steal the [[Bee Team (RID)|Bee Team]]'s Decepticon Hunters, with this subplot playing a small background role until the Stunticons are captured and returned to Cybertron by the end of the first half of the season. In order to keep the "Con of the Week" theme present after the Alchemor's departure, caches set up by Windblade after her arrival on Earth contain Decepticons who end up getting free and require recapture. Some filler episodes feature Decepticons who managed to escape the Alchemor before it left Earth. Others feature [[Shadow Raker|Decepticons]] [[Nightra|or]] [[Blastwave|others]] coming to Earth due to connections to members of the Bee Team or other reasons, the one exception being [[Flamesnort]] who was left on Earth during the Great War. This season also does a first and ties in with the ''[[Transformers: Rescue Bots (cartoon)|Rescue Bots]]'' series by featuring the Rescue Bot [[Blurr (Prime)|Blurr]] for a few episodes.

Corruption on Cybertron, which had been building up conflict in the background for the entire series and has generally served as a way introduce new characters, seems to finally take the center stage during the second half of the season where mysterious benefactors on Cybertron free Steeljaw and his pack and grant them full pardons. They are sent back to Earth, where they ally with Soundwave and are tasked with capturing the Autobots. Steeljaw and the others make a grand return to Earth by nearly destroying the Scrapyard and forcing the Autobots and Clays to find a new base. By this point, the "villain of the week" approach is only used a few more times, but is otherwise abandoned in favor of having the Autobots face off against recurring teams of enemies such as the Stunticons and then Steeljaw's Pack. The tail end of the season also features the return of [[Bulkhead (Prime)|Bulkhead]] from ''Prime'' as a temporary ally to the Bee Team.

The two-part series finale features the Bee Team returning to Cybertron to fight Steeljaw's benefactors, the new corrupt [[Autobot High Council|High Council]], who are revealed to be a group of Decepticons disguised as Autobots, led by [[Cyclonus (WFC)|Cyclonus]]. The Autobots once again form Ultra Bee to take down the Council's [[Galvatronus (RID)|combined form]], finally freeing Cybertron. Optimus decides not to lead Cybertron into this new era as he "is a leader of warriors", and decides to leave Ratchet in charge of the new temporary High Council, which is now to be composed of Bulkhead, Windblade and [[Jazz (WFC)|Jazz]], while the Bee Team returns to Earth as "ambassadors" to the planet.

Freed after the ship crashed on [[Earth]], Stockade and a legion of Cyclones set about scavenging weapons, and stumbled across one of [[Windblade (RID)|Windblade]]'s supply caches. They lay in wait until Windblade—accompanied by [[Sideswipe (RID)|Sideswipe]], [[Drift (RID)|Drift]], [[Jetstorm (RID)|Jetstorm]], [[Slipstream (RID)|Slipstream]], and [[Optimus Prime (WFC)|Optimus Prime]]—arrived to resupply. Eager to face off against Optimus Prime, Stockade ordered his troops to press their numerical advantage. Before long he had split the team up.

Stockade issued an ultimatum to the divided Autobots: if they offered the cache, he would spare their lives. Drift tried to bluff the general by claiming to be in possession of a doomsday device, but Stockade suspected a ruse and ordered his troops to scan the cache. Sideswipe then attempted his own feint by pretending to surrender, forcing Stockade to divert some of his troops to secure the Autobot. Sideswipe had teamed up with Jetstorm and Slipstream, and the trio managed to overpower their would-be captors. While the other Autobots faced off against the Cyclones, Stockade wound up fighting with Optimus. As it turned out, the general had bitten off more than he could chew, and Optimus wound up defeating him. And unfortunately for anything else on the road, he's skilled enough at both of those to generally make up for his lack of imagination.

Heatseeker was assigned to claim [[Grand Valley]] as Stunticon territory by [[Motormaster (WFC)|Motormaster]]. His tangling with some cops alerted Team Bee, who deployed [[Strongarm (RID)|Strongarm]] and [[Sideswipe (RID)|Sideswipe]] in response to the situation, but after toying with them for a while, Heatseeker easily lost them by collapsing a tunnel on them. Taking up a position at the top of a rocky outcropping, he began firing guided missiles at them. When the Autobots managed to get the missiles to slam into each other and hid, Heatseeker held his position and waited for them to come out again. When [[Bumblebee (WFC)|Bumblebee]], [[Drift (RID)|Drift]], and [[Grimlock (RID 2015)|Grimlock]] arrived as backup, they were unaware that Heatseeker had already spotted them, and the Stunticon fired off five more missiles, which threatened to detonate a nuclear waste disposal site close by. {{storylink|King of the Hill (Part 1)}} Heatseeker's missile attack was thwarted when Drift, recognizing the type of missile used, quickly instructed Team Bee how to use their comms to scramble and disable the missiles' detonators. Heatseeker retreated, chased by Bumblebee, Drift, and (eventually) Grimlock.

He laid a trap in the form of a huge number of oil-filled barrels scattered around a disused gas station, using his missiles to detonate them. Unable to use their now-malfunctioning comms to disable the missiles, the Autobots were kept running for cover. Thanks to the intervention of a [[Stuntwing|mysterious Mini-Con]], Heatseeker was once again forced to run, returning to the edge of the waste disposal site.

Encountering a lone [[Hermit|human]], Heatseeker intended to use him for leverage, but he didn't have the chance before the Autobots arrived and surrounded him. Heatseeker prepared another missile barrage, but was quickly dog-piled. One massive explosion later, Heatseeker opted to cut and run while the Autobots were unconscious. As he sped past the gas station, he noticed a Cybertronian tracking device in a crater, and quickly decided this would be the perfect way to lie to Motormaster about just ''why'' he had left his post, presenting it as a gift. Motormaster was unimpressed, but Heatseeker was able to talk him around. {{storylink|King of the Hill (Part 2)}}

Heatseeker joined his fellow Stunticons in the Crown City Grand Prix, believing that the "Ruler of the Roads" title awarded to its winner was literal. Disdainful of the "squishies" he was competing against, he revealed himself to Grimlock (temporarily swapped into Drift's body), and then proceeded to duel with the Autobot, attempting to push him off a cliff before spinning him out. As the race approached its finish, he launched his missiles at [[Casey (RID)|Casey]] in an attempt to give [[Dragstrip (WFC)|Drag Strip]] and [[Wildbreak]] a clear run for the win, only for the Autobots to dupe the missiles into doubling back and nailing the three Stunticons themselves. {{storylink|Disordered Personalities}}

Recovering from the setback, Heatseeker joined his fellow Stunticons in running the humans out of [[Star Visitor Estates]], followed by his Crash Combining with [[Slashmark]] to celebrate their victory. They were then joined by Motormaster, who was less than impressed at the pace of their conquering of Earth's roads. {{storylink|The Golden Knight}}

Along with the other Stunticons, Heatseeker went on a joyride across the roads to assert their dominance over Earth, but a impressively fast train caught the attention and ire of Motormaster, who demanded the engine of the offending machine. Heatseeker and the other Stunticons met the Bee Team on the way to their objective but met their defeat during a brawl on top of the speeding vehicle. Calling his pupils his 'Shadows', Shadow Raker teaches them the finer lessons of martial arts. He only asks for two things in return: complete loyalty to him and stealing anything he wants. While he delights in the riches his pupils steal for him, his greatest thrill is twisting their innocent minds until they're as rotten as he is.

As the Autobots drive through the desert in new brown camo color schemes, [[Sideswipe (RID)|Sideswipe]] irritates the others by recounting a story of how he tricked [[Strongarm (RID)|Strongarm]] into thinking he could time travel. [[Windblade (RID)|Windblade]] complains about his inability to remain quiet, but is alarmed when [[Optimus Prime (WFC)|Optimus Prime]] stumbles. Though he claims to be alright, a short time later a couple of [[Mini-Con]]s jump out of a nearby bush and proceed to knock him down with their ice and fire powers. Though Windblade's ready to step in, [[Drift (RID)|Drift]] sends [[Jetstorm (RID)|Jetstorm]] and [[Slipstream (RID)|Slipstream]] to deal with the pair, holding her back as the fight will test his students. Unfortunately the two students are overcome by their opponents, so the larger Autobots move in, at which point their opponents disappear in a flash of light. Optimus contacts [[Fixit (RID)|Fixit]] who is able to identify them as [[Swelter]] and [[Glacius]], but can't find a record of the [[Razorpaw]] that the pair mentioned.

The Autobots move out to continue their search and Optimus soon detects a signal ahead. The Autobots suggest Optimus to hang back as he seems weakened, but he intends to face the Decepticon with the rest of the team. Windblade talks with Drift and Sideswipe, who believe Prime knows what he's doing. She resolves to protect Optimus herself. As they split up to search, Windblade starts attacking nearby suspicious bushes. When one bush seems particularly active, she pushes Optimus down, only to discover the hidden danger within the bush is actually a woodchuck. The creature attacks her, sending her off a cliff and into a swiftly-flowing river. Sideswipe gives chase and, after one attempt to rescue her fails, manages to grab her just short of a massive waterfall. Despite limping from an injured leg, Windblade is still determined to protect Optimus. The Autobots are unaware they're being spied on from afar by Swelter and Glacius, who have brought them to the attention of Razorpaw himself.

Optimus's team finds a deserted army base full of military vehicles. On finding a hangar which has clearly been broken into, Optimus splits them into two teams — one to go in and check it out, and the other to check the immediate area. Windblade successfully argues she should be on the latter team so she can accompany Optimus. A short time after entering the hangar, Sideswipe and Drift are attacked by Swelter and Glacius who trap them in a cocoon of metal. Though disgruntled at their treatment by Razorpaw, the two Mini-Cons head outside to help their companion. Optimus and Windblade hear the noise from the hangar, but are interrupted by Razorpaw. Windblade throws Optimus aside to tackle Razorpaw herself, however Razorpaw reveals that contrary to what she thinks: he is after her, not Optimus. Swelter and Glacius join the battle, occupying Optimus long enough for Razorpaw to drain some of Windblade's energon reserves. Razorpaw moves in on Optimus, but the two Mini-Cons start bickering with him. Optimus, who has been feigning defeat, takes the opportunity to level the three Decepticons, knocking out Razorpaw and smushing Swelter and Glacius between two jeeps.

After Optimus helps Windblade up, the pair enter the hangar and start freeing Sideswipe and Drift, though Drift says there's no hurry as Sideswipe has finally been forced to shut up.

They're interrupted when the alarm sounds, and [[Fixit (RID)|Fixit]] reports he's detected [[Decepticon]] signals near a nuclear power plant. Expecting to meet [[Steeljaw's Pack]] again, the Autobots roll out, but when they reach the signal's location, they discover that there's no one there. While following [[Bumblebee (WFC)|Bumblebee]]'s suggestion that it's Hide and Seek, Grimlock falls into a hole and they realize the Decepticons are tunneling. They head into the tunnel and find [[Clampdown (RID)|Clampdown]] and [[Quillfire (RID)|Quillfire]] hard at work. Panicking, the 'Cons run in different directions, and Clampdown ends up cornered by [[Strongarm (RID)|Strongarm]] and Grimlock; Strongarm cuffs herself to Clampdown as she puts the crab-bot under arrest. Quillfire gets away, but fortunately for the Autobots Clampdown blabs the entire plan while under the assumption they accepted his offer to let him go. While discussing what to do with the prisoner, Grimlock suggests punching him, but Strongarm points out that's against the [[Kaon Conventions]] regarding the treatment of prisoners.

Once the Autobots dig themselves out of the hole, Bumblebee orders Strongarm to take Clampdown back to the cavern while the others go after Quillfire. Quillfire meets with the rest of the Pack, and without the tunnel, Steeljaw announces it's time for Plan B. Scanning some passing nuclear waste vehicles for their color scheme, the four 'Cons head towards the nuclear plant. The Autobots, anticipating their quarry's actions, soon catch up with them however. Strongarm overhears Bumblebee's call for Grimlock as backup and starts heading back to help. She finds the other Autobots battling [[Thunderhoof (RID)|Thunderhoof]], who becomes focused on going after Clampdown for blabbing the plan (on top of everything else in their long-running feud). Though Clampdown flees, dragging Strongarm behind them, Thunderhoof manages to catch up with them and swiftly proves too much for them to handle.

Sending [[Sideswipe (RID)|Sideswipe]] ahead to clear the nuclear plant, Bumblebee and Grimlock go to Strongarm's aid. She claims the team's mission is a higher priority according to the Kaon Conventions. Once Grimlock manages to subdue Thunderhoof, Bumblebee reluctantly agrees that Strongarm can continue with the mission, and they head to the nuclear plant where Sideswipe's cleared the humans out. Strongarm wants to let Clampdown go as he's hindering the mission, noting the Conventions allow for such actions in extreme situations, but Bumblebee orders her to keep the 'Con safe instead. Thunderhoof takes this moment to turn up and attack the pair before Grimlock once again keeps him busy. The Autobots lock the frantic Clampdown in a vault to keep him safe while they handle the rest of the Pack.

The Autobots find Steeljaw and his sidekicks stealing nuclear fuel rods. As the inevitable fight breaks out, Steeljaw sets the reactor core to meltdown, slashing the control panel to disable it. Quillfire and [[Underbite]] are both taken down, but Steeljaw takes Strongarm hostage and, joined by Thunderhoof, who claims to have disposed of Grimlock, attempts to leave. The plant's lockdown begins, closing a blast door that seals Bee and Sideswipe inside. Grimlock clobbers the two 'Cons, though Steeljaw manages to escape with the fuel rods despite this, telling Strongarm she can choose to chase them or save her team; the surprise arrival of a very much active Grimlock forces Steeljaw to run as Thunderhoof gets smashed by the cannonballing Dinobot. Once Grimlock makes a hole in the huge door, the Autobots carefully carry the unconscious 'Cons to safety outside the plant, but Strongarm realizes Clampdown's still locked in the vault and she dashes back in to release him, Bumblebee following after ordering Sideswipe and Grimlock to get their prisoners to a safe distance. With Clampdown's help, they manage to get back out to find Sideswipe, judging stopping a meltdown was a higher priority than running, found a backup control panel, which he uses to forcibly shutdown the plant. Though Clampdown attempts to persuade the Autobots to let him go, they proceed to haul him and the other Cons back to the cave.

In the woods outside Crown City, Steeljaw meets with [[Stuntwing]] at a [[Shadowzone (dimension)|Shadowzone]] portal, but refuses to turn the fuel rods over to anyone but [[Soundwave (WFC)|the Mini-Con's master]], sending the Activator back empty-handed.

At the Autobots' cave base, Denny is disappointed that the relaxation alcoves have been repurposed as cells, and watches in horror as the captive Decepticons make short work of his hand chairs.

In the [[Vintage Salvage Depot for the Discriminating Nostalgist|scrapyard]], [[Grimlock (RID 2015)|Grimlock]] begins a home video with [[Russell Clay|Russell]] to keep [[Drift (RID)|Drift]] up to date while he's away helping [[Optimus Prime (WFC)|Optimus]] on a secret mission. The video gets as far as [[Sideswipe (RID)|Sideswipe]] dazzling the camera with a new wax job and a shot of [[Fixit (RID)|Fixit]] mulling over a newly acquired [[Cybertronian technology finder|Cybertronian tech detector]] with [[Denny Clay|Denny]], before alarms blare and the base falls under attack by unknown assailants. A blast hits [[Bumblebee (WFC)|Bumblebee]], Denny, and Russell, knocking all three over, with footage ending there.

Recovering from the blast, Denny and Russell are retrieved by [[Strongarm (RID)|Strongarm]], then set off to find Fixit. During the attack, Bumblebee is grazed, disabling his comm-link and preventing him to gather the team at the command center. He arrives at the meet-point with Grimlock behind him, running into Sideswipe who reports he thinks the attackers are stationed on a cliff above the base. Meanwhile, a terrified Fixit is nearly squished by falling pieces of vintage memorabilia, but is saved by Strongarm and the Clays. Bumblebee hands Sideswipe his blaster and orders him to cover him as he darts to the [[GroundBridge]], which he activates in order to evacuate as Strongarm and her precious cargo arrives on scene. As Sideswipe drives towards the groundbridge to join his teammates, he's hit by the nonstop blaster fire and goes flying off course. The same blast that hit him had destroyed the groundbridge, leaving the panicking Sideswipe to call out for help as he run amidst the blaster fire that was still raining down on the scrapyard. The continuous blasts knock a crane onto him, effectively pinning him down. As aiming beacons line up on his face, Bumblebee appears to pull the machinery off him and the two escape the base without much further ado, though Sideswipe begins to show signs of his abandonment issues and Bee explains that his broken comm prevented him from finding him earlier.

As the rest of the team waits where they had been sent, they worry about the two left behind, though Fixit reminds them that Bumblebee would be aware of their current location and would most likely be there as soon as he could. And as if on cue, the two missing Autobots drive up. After brief elation and more concern, Russell suggests they use the caves where they fought [[Nightstrike]] as their new temporary base and Fixit agrees, due to the mineral deposits in that area obstructing energy signals.

Back at the scrapyard, [[Steeljaw (RID)|Steeljaw]] and [[Thunderhoof (RID)|Thunderhoof]] have a conflict of interest, which ends with Thunderhoof reluctantly relenting. During the short scuffle, Steeljaw reveals that both he and their benefactors on Cybertron want Bumblebee's "hood ornament on a plate", along with the rest of the team. These "benefactors" are implied to be government officials, as Steeljaw and his pack (himself, Thunderhoof, [[Clampdown (RID)|Clampdown]], [[Quillfire (RID)|Quillfire]], and [[Underbite]]) were pardoned of their crimes in order to (supposedly) capture the [[Bee Team (RID)|Bee Team]]. In a moment of inspiration, Steeljaw decides to put humans at risk in order to lure Bee and his Autobots out from hiding.

Regrouping in the cave, Fixit repairs Bumblebee's comm system while Denny bemoans the loss of his collectibles. Sideswipe attempts to comfort him by revealing that he's moved homes a hundred times and it's not a big deal. He's then frightened by some bats and both Strongarm and Bee comment on his jumpiness, which he deflects. Bumblebee mentions how he doesn't know how to track down whoever is after them, and Fixit displays the tech detector he had brought with them, which wouldn't exactly find the attackers, but it would find their weapons. Bee suggests that Sideswipe be the one to step out of the cave and into possible scanning range to locate the antagonists, sparking Sideswipe's fear of abandonment and stalling on his part. The tech detector makes a quick change of hands before Fixit takes it back and does the scan himself, discovering five Cybertronian contacts at the [[Crown City]] dam. Bumblebee realizes that the attackers were most likely there to put humans at risk, and as Strongarm points out that it was most likely a trap, he refuses to put lives in danger and they take the bait anyway.

On the way to the dam, Sideswipe nervously tailgates Strongarm until Bumblebee puts him on rear duty, which only further aggravates his fears as a train nearly cuts him off from the rest of the team. Once they reach their destination, Bumblebee formulates the plan to go into the dam control building alone to draw out their enemies, while the others split up and circle around to jump the attackers when they go for him. This also makes Sideswipe anxious.

Inside, Bumblebee is surprised to find out their attackers had been Steeljaw and his pack, who turn on him and knock him to the ground. Steeljaw then stands over him and monologues about revenge, also mentioning his benefactors, until the rest of the team sneaks in and opens fire on the Decepticons. As the fight breaks out, Grimlock slams Quillfire into machinery, jamming one of his quills into a turbine, creating the potential hazard of explosion. Bumblebee attempts to remove the quill, but is rammed by Underbite, and Steeljaw runs out of the building during the fog of war. Bee chases after Steeljaw, and Sideswipe chases after him, goaded by his fear of being left behind. Outside, Steeljaw blows a hole in the dam then turns on Bumblebee, but is toppled over the platform as Sideswipe intervenes. Thanking him, Bumblebee asks Sideswipe to take care of the broken dam so he can help Grimlock and Strongarm, assuring his younger teammate that he will be back for him.

Seen as figuratively and literally beneath other Decepticons, Ped stews in his resentment and makes plans to finally come out on top one day. It's not that he doesn't have some skills. There are fewer who can tunnel through the underground as fast and efficiently as Ped, a skill he uses to conduct sneak attacks and avoid direct conflict. If he really ''needs'' to fight, he can sting foes with his mandibles, or simply smash them apart with his claws. But up-close combat isn't really his thing, so he sticks with keeping his foes disoriented, or at least at the bottom of a deep pit so he can work uninterrupted and escape easily.

He eventually attacked a [[human]] construction site to recover an energon cube. Not long afterwards, he raided [[Denny Clay]]'s scrapyard and stole most of their stockpiled energon. [[Bumblebee (WFC)|Bumblebee]] and his team - along with [[Jazz (WFC)|Jazz]]- travelled into the tunnels to recover their energon. Bumblebee and [[Strongarm (RID)|Strongarm]] encountered him digging, and realized that his constant tunneling had undermined part of [[Crown City]]. Ped escaped after he realized that [[Sideswipe (WFC)|Sideswipe]] and [[Jazz (WFC)|Jazz]] had found his Energon stash. Ped attacked Sideswipe and disabled him; Jazz's sonic weapons collapsed the tunnel, and Ped escaped with the energon in the confusion.

The Autobots later set up a trap to lure Ped aboveground and recapture him. However, they did not allow for the possibility that Ped would attack Denny and [[Russell Clay]] instead of beelining for the energon. Ped incapacitated the other Autobots by dropping them into a sinkhole. Sideswipe managed to escape the pit and goaded Ped into attacking him.
