:Spiral is a Mini-Con from the Armada portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.
Spiral leads the Street Speed Mini-Con Team, which isn't an easy task considering her teammates' personalities. But she's a tough one, the fastest, smartest, and strongest of the Team, who won't hesitate to verbally—or physically—put someone in their place. She's garnered a bit of a reputation for having a short temper, but she's got the muscle to back up her aggression.
Armada cartoon
Spiral's Mini-Con storage panel was detected underground, near a major highway under construction. Both Autobot and Decepticon braved battle and heavy traffic to retrieve the panel. The Decepticons, thanks to the digging strength of Scavenger (who was in reality an Autobot agent undercover) came close to obtaining it, but the arrival of the mysterious Sideways tipped the battle in favor of the Autobots, and with Hot Shot's newfound skill with the Star Saber, the Decepticons were forced to retreat and Spiral was saved.

Back at the Autobot base, while Billy was getting dirt-bike rides on Sideways, Spiral offered to give a ride to Fred, who was moping about missing all the fun. Fred accepted, but quickly regretted his decision and commenced with the whining. Gale

Later, after the Decepticons got ahold of the Star Saber, Spiral was seen among the Mini-Cons recently captured by them. How they acquired possession of her from the Autobots is unknown. Conspiracy

Spiral, Backtrack and an unknown Mini-Con were assigned to <s>repair</s> "tune up" Megatron following a close encounter with the Requiem Blaster. Runaway

On the moon, Spiral and the other Mini-Cons were put to work by Megatron constructing a new space cruiser. When the Autobots lay siege to the Decepticon base, Perceptor sought out the Mini-Cons and tried to get them to accompany him to freedom. Their servility programming was too strong to overcome at first. After Spiral and the others saw Perceptor valiantly risking his life against Megatron, however, the Mini-Cons shrugged off the chains of their oppression, and fled to the warp gate chamber where the Autobots transported them to safety on Earth. Rescue

As the Autobots prepared their new spaceship to chase the Decepticons back to Cybertron, Spiral and the united Mini-Cons were seen helping with the construction work. Remorse Spiral and the Mini-Cons all chose to willingly follow the Autobots into space aboard the Axalon, fighting alongside them against the Decepticons. Depart

Spiral was among the Mini-Cons in space forming a protective shield to stop the Axalon from being harmed by the black hole that Unicron/Sideways had opened up. Uprising (Armada)
Dreamwave Armada comic
Spiral was among the Mini-Cons who fled Cybertron millions of years ago, Armada Free Comic Book Day and along with the rest of the Street Speed Team she ended up living in a base on Earth's moon. Dreamwave Armada issue 9 Unfortunately, Dualor brought the Earth-based Mini-Cons there, which also brought the Decepticons. While the moonbase was under attack, Spiral and the others escaped in a rocket-pod. Dreamwave Armada issue 11 The pod crashed in northern Alaska, leaving the Street Speed Team, Inferno and Comettor deactivated. Fire & Ice Ultimately the Autobots were successful in retrieving the pod, and Spiral was reactivated and brought to the Autobot base. Worlds Collide, Part 1 of 4

Spiral later returned to Cybertron and helped Over-Run activate the Mini-Con Matrix, which dealt a critical blow to Unicron. The End (Armada)

Panini Armada comic
In the early stages of the war, Spiral was among the Mini-Cons who supported Dualor's plan to kill Megatron by luring him to the Autobot headquarters and blowing it up. Panini Armada issue 9
Cybertron toy bios
The Street Speed Team were sent to Velocitron as advance scouts for the Autobots. The planet's mass of winding high-speed tracks really appealed to them, to the point where they started having a hard time tearing themselves from the road to get their missions underway.
: In the Hasbro line, the Street Speed team were released in the third assortment of Mini-Con teams. In Japan, it was part of the massive first wave of Legend of the Microns product, released in December 2002. Aside from packaging, there are no noteworthy differences between the two releases. The Armada release was also made available in a clamshelled two-pack at various retail outlets. So far, all samples of packs with the Street Speed Team known have come with the Adventure Mini-Con Team as their pack-in partners.
* For whatever reason, the Street Speed Team is the only Armada Mini-Con Team to not have an Exdimensions release.
* The Japanese Galaxy Force version of the Street Speed Team is one of the very few mass-retail "new"-mold Japanese Transformers toys to not show up in the accompanying cartoon.
* Spiral was referred to as male by Carlos in the Armada cartoon episode "Gale". It seems Dreamwave overlooked that scene when it gave her a bio that specified her as female. In-universe, it could be argued that the humans might not be able to tell Transformer gender apart—Sureshock is always referred to as male as well (although she's also referred to as Grindor just as often).
