That bit about how the Fallen was created by Pat Lee? In the latest edition of Wayward's Insecticomics it is said that it was actually Furman who created the character, that Lee just did the design. When I asked her about it, she posted this transcript which backs that up. --KilMichaelMcC 14:46, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
I don't know about Bludgeon, but there is a connection between the Fallen and Megs: IDW Megatron's Cybertronian body is based off of the Fallen, right down to the design of the Fusion Cannon. User:GWolfv2 21.07 June 11
Defiance issue 4 is out. TFW2005.com has posted all the Fallen-relevant spoilers from issue 4, but beware, if you're avoiding Defiance, this spoils the Fallen's crazy scheme in the movie. The backstory for the Fallen seems fairly different to the Fallen we know. So are they still the same guy? --FFN 14:56, 8 April 2009 (EDT)
:Still appears to be a member of the Thirteen, still appears to betray them, still apparently serves a force that devours planets/stars.--RosicrucianTalk 15:12, 8 April 2009 (EDT)
::But from what I understand of the "multiversal singularity" characters thing, there's just one Fallen, so the guy created by Primus who eventually serves Unicron is also a guy created by a Cube who serves nobody but himself and is building solar towers to replenish the Cube. Or is the currently-untold story of the 13 vague enough that this still works? --FFN 15:20, 8 April 2009 (EDT)
::It does seem pretty distinct. One's a "created by mighty power source, got selfish, betrayed his brothers, now want to kick off where things went wrong" other "created as a multiversal control for entrophy and warrior against Unicron. ::In any case, I suspect we are probably going to need to wait to see what the movie itself has to say before making a decision on this. It may expand on what is presented in the comic, it may contradict it in some way, it could make it easier to tie this version in with the previous mythos or may firmly separate it, etc. --KilMichaelMcC 17:54, 8 April 2009 (EDT)
:::I don't think we would have to wait until the movie if the comic is fairly clear on the matter. - Starfield 17:59, 8 April 2009 (EDT)
::And as seen in Walky's post above this, the DK guide establishes the Fallen as an "Omniversal tyrant". That more or less means the Fallen is one of those characters who can travel between dimensions, and there's only one of him. Thus, we consider ROTF Fallen to be the same guy as Dreamwave comics Fallen, unless the movie says otherwise (and it obviously won't). --FFN 02:36, 20 May 2009 (EDT)
:Soundwave is a Decepticon from the Revenge of the Fallen franchise in the live-action film continuity family.
Starscream was in talks with Soundwave to get him to join in the attack on Earth and be in Michael Bay's next documentary. Soundwave is known for talking in several frequencies at once, apparently just to be annoying. Transformers Comic issue 15 Starscream doesn't trust Soundwave but notes his intelligence, and so views him as a worthy successor in the event of his death. Transformers Comic issue 21
Soundwave was assigned by Megatron to take command of the newly built Nemesis with the sarcophogus containing the Fallen. Soundwave's task was to find a planet with a star harvester that could be used to free their mysterious benefactor. Soundwave left Cybertron just before the outbreak of war. Defiance issue 4

Presumed dead for years, Soundwave arrived on Mars one month after Megatron's death. He quickly took stock of the situation, scanning both Dreadwing's remains, and an imprint of Frenzy's body. He contacted Starscream after his battle with Wreckage, informing him that he had sent troops from his ship to Earth, with more waiting in stasis. As Starscream headed for the ship, Soundwave informed him he still had orders to follow. Alliance issue 2

As more and more Decepticons made planetfall on Earth's surface, Soundwave assumed the form of a satellite and silently observed their operations from orbit. Alliance issue 4

Part of the initial Movie Preview wave, Soundwave transforms into a Cybertronian jet and a satellite mode that looks rather similar to the jet mode. Somehow, this makes him a Triple Changer. In robot mode, Soundwave has a bulky body structure, making him a rather small robot. In jet mode, he looks something like Cybertron Vector Prime. His satellite mode design is rather focused on deploying his Ravage missile. Both jet and satellite modes feature a face on the back that looks like an armored version of Soundwave's face.

<!--The jet and satellite mode's names appear to have been switched around, because the jet looks like a satellite and vice-versa.-->
Trivia
* Soundwave was originally supposed to feature in Transformers: he fulfilled both Barricade and Frenzy's roles, hacking into the CIA headquarters as a portable stereo, then morphed into a Humvee to track down Sam Witwicky. Michael Bay's decision to minimalize the amount of morphing in the film resulted in a change to a helicopter who openly attacks the army. Soundwave and Ravage were changed to Blackout and Scorponok as the film's location was changed from a jungle to a desert. Hasbro had also insisted on Soundwave having a musical mode, so he was changed to the character eventually known as Frenzy, to the extent that he had to be renamed.

*According to the trade paperback, Soundwave was a major character in the third draft of The Reign of Starscream

*Hasbro's description and arrangement of Soundwave's toy as a triple changer runs counter to the filmmakers' intent to introduce the technology in the next film. Aaron Archer acknowledged in Toyfare #140 (February 2009) they had altered Soundwave's Cybertronian form from the film for the sake of creating a decent toy.
