Dalton is a humanoid alien from the The Great Transformer War manga portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
So is it "Hercule" or "Mr. Satan"? I'm confused.

Doctor Dalton (ダルトン Daruton) is a scientist from the planet Eran, and a pretty good one, too. His talents at upgrading highly advanced sentient robots and constructing weapons of mass destruction have naturally made him a target for the Decepticons, who are always on the lookout for scientists to kidnap. Luckily, he has allies within the Autobot ranks to keep him safe.

The Great Transformer War

[edit]

A renowned scientist hailing from the planet Eran, Doctor Dalton was subsequently kidnapped by Galvatron and taken to Dinobase, where he was forced to build deadly and powerful upgrades into several of the Decepticons. The Autobots eventually caught wind of this and sallied forth to his rescue. Unfortunately, they had to first get past the upgraded Motormaster, Onslaught and Trypticon with their new docking base modes. Luckily for Dalton, Blades was able to sneak past the Decepticons while his teammates engaged in battle and rescued him. Upon returning to Autobot City, Doctor Dalton agreed to help Rodimus Prime and the Autobots build upgrades into their Transformers in order to combat those he'd built into the Decepticons. Galvatron wasted little time in organizing a counter-offensive to attack the Autobots, in the form of the upgraded Abominus. Luckily, the upgraded Computron proved to be the Decepticon's better and was winning...until the Terrorcons unleashed Doctor Dalton's most powerful upgrade: Cohesive Control Liquid. This sticky goo overrode Computron's mental functions, brainwashing him into a Decepticon. Luckily, Dalton had already prepared a remedy: an upgraded exosuit capable of burning off the Control Liquid. However, since only a human could prove immune to the slime, Spike Witwicky took up the challenge and burned the liquid off of Computron with the help of the exosuit. Computron then drove the Decepticons away, though Galvatron swore his next attack would be "unforgettable". The Great Transformer War #2

Swindle once came across Dalton on Eran. It was a bad experience for the Decepticon. The AllSpark Almanac II
