Other prototypes
[edit]
I've seen supposed prototypes for a "Jungle Starscream", "Blue Angels Ramjet" and "Desert Ramjet". Does anyone know if these are legit, and are they from the same source? I downloaded copies of the pictures from various sites, but I have NO clue who might own the photos. Khajidha 07:23, 6 April 2010 (EDT)
- The same person who was selling "Jungle Attack Starscream", "Desert Ramjet", and the black Starscream mock-up was also selling Hasbro paperwork that included G2 Greasepit's bio, so I am inclined to believe they were all legitimate. Which one was "Blue Angels Ramjet"? I remember a clouds-and-sky themed Ramjet, but I thought that was on Alex Bickmore's website a long time ago...
- As for the ownership issue, I'd just put "photos from eBay, used without permission", or some-such. --Monzo 18:33, 6 April 2010 (EDT)
- Just looked over the pictures in question, I think the Ramjet was the one you were thinking of. It is clouds and sky with NAVY markings, not blue angels. It is watermarked Toy Archive, probably not okay to post that one. I'm going to try to upload the others. Khajidha 18:56, 6 April 2010 (EDT)
- Here they are. Thought I'd double check before using them in articles. If there are any objections, go ahead and delete them. Khajidha 19:07, 6 April 2010 (EDT)
- I object in the sense that multiple separate images feels like overkill. I already have a collage of all the "Jungle Attack Starscream" (as named by the auction) images ready to go, but haven't had time to upload it. Gimme a bit.
- Those two images of the "Desert Ramjet" toy are from Maz's site rather than the eBay auctions, and he should be properly credited for them. He also has a better version of the artwork that could be tossed into a collage. --Monzo 19:25, 6 April 2010 (EDT)
- I wasn't sure where I had found them, you had mentioned the eBay auction and they seemed like eBay type photos. I had thought of editing them together, but really just wanted to make sure everything was above board before putting too much effort into it. Khajidha 23:01, 6 April 2010 (EDT)
- Don't want to be accused of stealing them for use here, so should we just delete them or do you think Maz would give us permission to use them? --Khajidha 14:54, 11 April 2010 (EDT)
- I have prepared a combined pic. I will be marking the individual pics for deletion. --Khajidha 07:59, 22 December 2012 (EST)

If Ramjet is Sandstorm...
[edit]I have to wonder, we now know the Ramjet repaint was planned as a seperate character named Sandstorm. That suggests that this guy, given his label, may have been likewise planed as a seperate character named "Black Death," yes? It's seems a enough of a possibillity that it might warrent a small note. Thoughts?
