Could the hand-written "Mitsubishi" mention be a clue as to Hydrahead's altmode? I ran a Google Image Search for "Mitsubishi Concept" which gave me some Eclipse concept cars that bore a strong ressemblance to Hydrahead here... however they're all from the past decade.
