Why was the original image I uploaded deleted? Wouldn't it have made more sense to just update my upload with the new file? --KirbyForce1 (talk) 21:20, 13 May 2014

The wiki isn't obligated to keep useless files around. Mimi (talk) 16:24, 13 May 2014 (EDT)
And just how was it useless? --KirbyForce1 (talk) 01:53, 14 May 2014
Because we don't need a stock photo after a user taken image has been uploaded. Escargon (talk) 20:57, 13 May 2014 (EDT)
How are fan-made user taken photos better than official high quality stock images from Hasbro? --KirbyForce1 (talk) 15:42, 14 May 2014
Hasbro stock images frequently differ from the final product you'll get in stores, whether through mistransformation, glossy photoshopping, or by straight-up being a computer render like many of the Micro-Changer stock images are. TFWiki's goal is to show the user what a toy actually looks like in real-life, and often that means featuring user-taken photographs. Jalaguy (talk) 10:50, 14 May 2014 (EDT)

And there's a whole paragraph on the accepted use of fan-photos... but for some reason it's been shoved way down. Changed that, plus updated it. Our policy pages tend to get forgotten as major issues change. --M Sipher (talk) 11:41, 14 May 2014 (EDT)
Get used to it. --M Sipher (talk) 17:00, 13 May 2014 (EDT)
