Do we really need to scan these things for the wiki? Scanning a full two pages seems kind of a little beyond fair usage. And most of this isn't even particularly useful information, since it's existing artwork with text taken away or altered. --ItsWalky 19:46, 17 January 2010 (EST)
- I don't see the harm and I'm a fan of these clips. It's historically interesting to see what Marvel did with the leftover space in these "digests" which have mostly been confined to the dustbin. It's also amusing that Marvel's policy seemed to be similar to the wiki's itself, with fun captions on the art. Fairplaythings 20:14, 17 January 2010 (EST)
- Fair use does have a legally-binding allowable quantity involved with it (basically, the smaller the better). As such, we try to limit the number of panels used to only the bare minimum needed to illustrate the point, and multiple full pages is definitely pushing the limit, I think. --Jeysie 20:49, 17 January 2010 (EST)
- That is why we would scan one page as an example and put it on the main Digest page. Individual pages can include mere descriptions. Anything more than that goes beyond fair use into archival. --ItsWalky 20:57, 17 January 2010 (EST)
