This summer, you will believe a jet can fly.

Fireflight was pulled from his home universe of Viron 704.31 Epsilon by Unicron on the eve of a critical battle, leading to Optimus Prime's defeat at the hands of Megazarak. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/07/30

Fireflight was one of the many universe-displaced Cybertronians released from the Cauldron in a jailbreak engineered by Silverbolt and Trailbreaker. Escape Fireflight was later part of Optimus Primal's forces in the final battle of the Universe War against Unicron's Minions when Unicron began to vanish due to his collapse into the Unicron Singularity. Revelations Part 2

After the end of the Universe War, Fireflight ended up on the Cybertron of Primax 509.28 Epsilon and joined Primal Prime's Wreckers. Apelinq's personal logs, 2014/06/18 When the team took a journey to check up on a Predacon colony near the Dark Nebula, their ship, the Rodimus Major, became caught in a wormhole anomaly. As the only Wrecker capable of escaping the distortion's pull (courtesy of his extradimensional chassis), Fireflight was tasked by Primal Prime with returning the ship's logs to Cybertron. He has killed before and will again!
  • Fireflight with Firebot and Thunderwing (Deluxe Class, 2004)
  • Accessories: 2 missiles
  • Known designers: Marcelo Matere (packaging artist){{#if: |, {{{2}}}}}
Released in the sixth wave of Universe Deluxes, Fireflight is a redeco of the Beast Machines Vehicon Spy Streak, transforming into a Cybertronic jet resembling a heavily-stylized SR-71 Blackbird. In both modes, he has a twin spring-loaded missile launcher, and his cockpit splits open to form a clamping claw. Yes, the red deco on his clamp does have terrifying implications.
As the original mold is a Basic-class toy, in order to fill out the package to Deluxe he came with the Mini-Cons Firebot and Thunderwing, even though Fireflight has absolutely no ability to make use of them.
The final retail toy lacks the paint wash seen in Hasbro's stock photography. He also lacks the gold on the tips of the missiles. Also, the stock photos have Fireflight's jet mode mistransformed; his vertical stabilizers are not folded up.
This mold was also used to make the Robots in Disguise Nightcruz.
