Magnificent Seven

The Magnificent Seven was the name given to the seven representatives of Earth allowed to travel to Cybertron with the Autobots on board the Ark II.
The Magnificent Seven were:
- Mark Marsh, a thirty-nine year-old mechanical engineer from New York.
- Akira Yashimura, a forty-two-year old biologist from Tokyo.
- Rolf Myer, a twenty-nine year-old chemist from Berlin.
- Linda Richards, a thirty-three year-old sociologist from New York.
- Rudolph Vesic, a sixty-two year-old architect from Moscow.
- Henry Lanson, a thirty-four year-old Professor of Religion at Oxford.
- "Sparkplug" Witwicky, a fifty-five year-old mechanic from Cleveland.

[edit]In exchange for helping the Autobots construct a new spacecraft, the governments of Earth were allowed to select a small crew of humans to travel to Cybertron. Extensive interviews were held before seven members were selected. They were guaranteed complete access to the planet and unlimited time for study. An article by Chris Killah described them as "representing the dawning of a new age".
They perished on June 24, 1999, when the ship was destroyed. Prime Directive #1
