New to Earth, the practical and gruff Macerator is squat and powerful, with one arm ending in circular blades instead of fingers. He finds it rather hard to credit Starscream's assertion that humans are an intelligent species, let alone that they could manage to create weapons that pose a threat to a Decepticon. He berates Dropkick for being an aesthete, praising his own choice of industrial garbage shredder truck alternate mode as being more functional and useful. Dropkick, in return, dismisses Macerator as "primitive". Starscream considers them both hotheads.

The Veiled Threat

[edit]

Macerator is one of the new troops who came to Earth to aid Starscream following Megatron's death. He worked with Starscream's forces in Zambia. Macerator was unimpressed with the Human Accessory Force that Starscream acquired by synthesizing gold and depositing it to them, concluding that anthropoid organics behaved with better sense, and was further confused when he learned that humans possessed more irreconcilable differences than the Cybertronians.

Marcerator later participated in their intended Autobot trap atop Victoria Falls. He almost succeeded in toppling Optimus Prime to his death. Though saved from his own deadly plunge by Starscream, Macerator soon after met his maker when he again battled with Optimus Prime atop the Kariba Dam. Critically damaged, Macerator attempted to gain at least a psychological victory by challenging Optimus Prime's perceptions, saying that if the Decepticons had been allowed to retrieve the AllSpark and Megatron without opposition, they would have left, and Prime's interference had compelled the Decepticons to avenge their leader. Though this caught Optimus by surprise, the Prime remembered Megatron's words and knew that the Decepticons would have brought destruction on Earth either way. A sword stroke to his spark sent Macerator's lifeless body plunging to the waters below. The Veiled Threat
