Allen is a human from the G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Hawk happened to catch the broadcast Ms. Allen was anchoring that contained his story: his accusations of illegal weapon manufacturing and testing in Area 52, his resignation from G.I. Joe out of anger about the way the government was handling the case, and the fact that in spite of all that, no independent investigations into the matter had yielded any results to corroborate his story.

In response, Hawk invited Ms. Allen for an exclusive one-on-one interview. Ms. Allen agreed and met him at his house. As they were to begin the interview, Hawk was contacted by Skids and instructed to stand by for pick-up because of an emergency. Hawk politely, but without explanation, broke off the interview. Exasperated, Ms. Allen followed him into his backyard, arguing that if he'd skip out of an interview like this, certainly everyone would think him to be a fraud. At that point, she looked up to see Cosmos in U.F.O. mode. As he was being beamed up, Hawk suggested they'd reschedule for another time, to which Ms. Allen agreed, dumbstruck.
