[edit]Ask Vector Prime
[edit]This reality's Hyperdrive was a skidplate-kicking guy! Before the Great War, he taught hundreds of great Autobot warriors at the Elite Guard academy and when the war broke out, he accomplished numerous feats of bravery. With the departure of the Ark and the imminent Decepticon conquest of the planet, Hyperdrive led as many survivors as he could to steal the Iron Hope from Straxus's shipyards. The exploits of his crew aboard the Iron Hope across the galaxy were legendary. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/07/16
Millions of years later after Rodimus the Micromaster was damaged defending Zone from an army of Great Galaman, he was upgraded into Fire Rodimus by having his essence transferred into Duke Fire, Star Convoy's power-up being. Fire Rodimus and Star Convoy's combined form, Supernova Convoy, was mighty and vanquished Dark Nova and Ultra Megatron. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/08/15
After Optimus Prime defeated a nucleon-empowered Megatron and retired, Hyperdrive became the Matrix-bearer and Autobot leader. Though he took a less hands-on approach, he was no less honorable than his predecessors. When Predator leader Skyquake obtained forestonite and tried to destroy the Sol System, Hyperdrive confronted him in the Apex Armor and with help from Rotorstorm defeated Skyquake. Hyperdrive eventually passed the reins of leadership to Pyro, though he remained active on the front lines until the Cybertron Alliance was established. Hyperdrive's eventual death from Corrodia Gravis brought melancholy to all Cybertronians; Vector Prime himself attended Hyperdrive's funeral. Hyperdrive's legendary heroism would go on to inspire future generations of Maximals. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/07/16
Vector Prime noted that little about this universe had reached the Quadwal Cluster. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/08/15
Notes
[edit]- Primax 092.0 Beta is the universal stream designation of the Megavisor image of Hyperdrive toy. Its specifications come from the release year of the Skyquake toy.
- This universe incorporates many elements of both the Marvel Comics continuity and the Japanese Generation 1 cartoon continuity, hence why Optimus Prime is referred to as "Optimus Prime" and "Star Convoy" at different points in his life.
- As mentioned above, Rodimus' upgraded form (Fire Rodimus) is called "Duke Fire"—this is almost certainly a reference to the toy/character of the same name from the 1994 Brave installment, [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Brave Police J-Decker|{{#if:||Brave Police J-Decker}}]]. The New Rodimus toy's visual design bears significant resemblance to Duke Fire, and both functioned as power-up combiners for the main characters of their respective stories. It was assumed that Duke Fire was a repurposing of the cancelled New Rodimus design, but this was proven to be coincidence following a discussion with Duke Fire's designer.<ref>{{#if: Also talked w/TakaraTomy team.
