* Ed entered the toy industry as a model artist at the [[wikipedia:Tonner Doll Company|Tonner Doll Company]], specializing in fine detail paint-work such as eyes and faces.
* After Tonner, Ed became a product designer at Fisher-Price, where he developed (and [https://www.google.com/patents/US6547629 co-patented]) the ''Wild Adventures'' line of educational animal toys. For this project, he also worked with the Smithsonian to create educational content for the ''Wild Adventures'' "Smithsonian Talking Fact Cards".
* Leaving Fisher-Price for Hasbro in 2001, Ed worked as a Senior Product Designer on a variety of licensed Pixar (''The Incredibles'', ''Toy Story'', ''Finding Nemo'') and Disney (''The Chronicles of Narnia'' and ''Wild Racers'') products.
