Multiple transit-plates can be stacked together to conserve space, and then split off from one another when the extra plates are needed for additional passengers.

When the cargo plane carrying [[Jeff Grey]], [[Hot Rod]], and the other humans in their entourage was shot down, the group found themselves stranded in the frigid cold of the [[Antartica|Antarctic]].
