Ironhide established his business in response to the increasing corruption and public mistrust in the [[Badgeless]]. Among the early employees were [[Tankor (BM)|Tankor]], [[Octane|Tankor]] and [[Quicklightning]]. The Tankor twins provided muscle for a group transporting [[energon cube]]s while veering clear of the Badgless while Ironhide meet with a pair of [[Devisiun|Devisens]] to discuss pricing. In a meeting with the Council, Ironhide insisted the firm was not "hiring out thugs" before was called by [[Blurr (G1)/IDW Generation 1 continuity|Blurr]] to deal with [[Drunkatron|an unruly patron]] in [[Maccadam's Old Oil House|Maccadam's]]. {{storylink|07:00:00}}

After the situation at Maccadam's resulted in the Badgeless killing the patron, the people being rioting, led by [[Onslaught (G1)|Onslaught]]. Recognizing Onslaught was after revenge for reneging on a previous deal, [[Starscream (G1)/IDW Generation 1 continuity|Starscream]] made Ironhide head of the Badgeless.
