Kakuryu was one of the many Dinobots created by mad scientist [[Wheeljack (SG)|Wheeljack]] as a means of revenge against [[Optimus Prime (SG)|Optimus Prime]] and the [[Autobot#Shattered Glass|Autobots]]. The Dinobot herd interrupted a battle between them and the [[Decepticon#Shattered Glass|Decepticons]] at the [[Arch-Ayr]] fuel dump, but when Wheeljack told his creations to tear into the combatants, the Dinobots started tearing into ''each other'' instead. What became of Kakuryu after this is unknown, though he may have been one of the eight "Dinocons" later captured by the Decepticons. {{storylink|Dungeons & Dinobots}}
