To prove his loyalty to the [[Decepticon]]s, [[Brainstorm (G1)/IDW Generation 1 continuity|Brainstorm]] was forced to turn over [[Overlord (Masterforce)|Overlord]] to the [[Decepticon Justice Division]], the enforcers catching up with the ''[[Lost Light]]'' in Sector 113. Though [[Tarn (DJD)|Tarn]] had promised Brainstorm that they would spare the crew, the DJD was overflowing on [[Nuke]] with the presence of [[Drift (G1)|Drift]] triggering them into slaughtering everyone aboard, their rampage eventually causing the craft to break up. {{storylink|slaughterhouse}} {{storylink|slaughterhouse Part 2: The Road Not Taken}} {{storylink|The Permanent Revolution}} After recruiting Nickel, they returned to the scuttled ship to salvage its [[quantum generator]]s only to find the [[Galactic Council]] and the [[Black Block Consortia]] had had the same idea, the Decepticons giving the organics a convenient foe to ally against. Not long afterwards, a quantum duplicate of the ''Lost Light'' disappeared with [[Hot Rod (G1)/IDW Generation 1 continuity|Rodimus]] ordering the escape shuttles to rendezvous on Ofsted XVII.
