==Synopsis==
[[Chase (RB)|Chase]] and [[Heatwave (RB)|Heatwave]] stack boxes while the former reflects how quiet it is without the students. Unfortunately for Chase, the sound of the [[space bridge]] heralds the return of the five recruits, who burst enthusiastically into the main hall—too enthusiastically in [[Hoist (RB)|Hoist]]'s case, as he crashes into the pile of boxes. Though the recruits are keen to start lessons, Heatwave tells them to settle in, so they retire to the living quarters and reflect on what they learned last year. Heatwave soon joins them to reveal they're being assigned personalized designated training zones. They check out [[Medix (RB)|Medix]]'s medbay, Hoist's converted laboratory (with reinforced walls), [[Wedge (RBA)|Wedge]]'s gym, [[Whirl (RBA)|Whirl]]'s wind turbine, and finally [[Hot Shot (Prime)|Hot Shot]]'s action matrix, which Heatwave realizes is just going to be used as a [[Cube (sport)|Cube]] court.

Later, [[Optimus Prime (WFC)|Optimus Prime]] joins them in the classroom to reveal that the students will also all be partnered with a teacher as tutor. He introduces them to Medix's uncle [[Ratchet (WFC)|Ratchet]], who's created the [[Aptitude Analyzer]] to partner each student with the perfect tutor. Whirl is mildly apprehensive at the idea, but Hoist is sure it will all work out.

The recruits exercise in the gym while speculating over which teacher they'll be assigned. Though everyone else has someone they want to be paired with, Hoist says he's good with whoever gets picked for him. Ratchet begins the tests—the first has them running on treadmills, though Hot Shot tries to speed his up and ends up thrown backwards into a wall. This is followed by a psychological exam of each student. Finally he puts them through a maze, which they all solve in their own ways. Ratchet departs with the analyzer, but Hoist notices Whirl is looking worried. She expresses her concern that the analyzer won't think she's worthy of a mentor, but Hoist assures her she's worthy.

Ratchet runs the analyzer to pair everyone up. Whirl is matched up with Chase, Medix with [[Blades (RB)|Blades]], and Wedge with [[Bumblebee (WFC)|Bumblebee]], much to his shock and delight. Hot Shot, despite hoping for Optimus, ends up paired with Heatwave. Hoist confidently waits for his match which turns out to be [[Grimlock (RID 2015)|Grimlock]]. The Dinobot immediately bursts into the room, sending the terrified Hoist running.
