The Covenant of Primus
The Age of Primes came about following the Thirteen's defeat of Unicron defeat and saw the creations of the Artifacts of the Primes. Infected by a touch of Unicron's darkness however, the Primes began to turn paranoid and distrustful, feelings that were fermented by the subtle manipulations of Liege Maximo. Tensions began to rise when it was revealed that Maximo, along with Megatronus and Quintus Prime, had constructed a "Farm" of mechanical beasts, with the larger of them being pitted against one another in combat. After Maximo was ordered to cease his experiments, he asked Megatronus to claim a requested suit of armor from Solus Prime, an act which led to the female Prime's demise and the creation of the Well of All Sparks. When the Primes confronted Maximo, his attempts to blame Megatronus resulted in a free for all that saw the group dissolve and end the Age of Primes. Transformers: The Covenant of Primus
