''Primus wakes up...''

''It is the [[G1 World|next universe]] and he's trapped in the [[Matrix of Leadership|Matrix]]! His companion to this universe, [[Primacron]], delights over this state of affairs, fulfilling his promise to make the Oracle his servant by placing the Matrix within an ape-like robot. Primacron explains that Primus's plan to ferry [[spark]]s into the next universe was meaningless—life will always persist, no matter what universal disaster. Indeed, the life of the [[Precursor World|previous universe]] is contained within the Matrix! Using the Matrix, Primacron forces the "rebirth" of the old universe's inhabitants as a variety of living robots. Eventually, Primacron creates his masterpiece from an unthinkable amount of [[Angolmois Energy]]: [[Unicron/Generation 1|Unicron]]. However, this "ultimate being" rebels, and his attack frees the Matrix and Primus himself from his prison. Despite Primacron's warning that Unicron will be unstoppable without his counterpart in Primus, the being is drawn to [[Cybertron (planet)|a planet in the center of the galaxy]], where he creates a verdant paradise.''

''Primus's planetary garden doesn't last long, as it is discovered by the [[Quintesson]]s. Using [[Key to Vector Sigma|a cyberforming ray]], the aliens transform the planet into a mechanical one, dubbing it "Cybertron", and trap the "energy being" they discovered in the center of the planet in Vector Sigma. Led by [[It|a certain Quintesson]], the merchants of death sap Vector Sigma's power to create the first [[Transformer|Cybertronians]], to use as living slaves. The eventual race rebels against the Quintessons, driving them off the planet, but it makes little difference to Primus, who just finds himself resigned to being used by a line of leaders to create more robotic life. Seeing [[Cybertron Is in Grave Danger, Part 2|the destruction of Cybertron]], Primus finds freedom...''

Primus snaps back to the [[Precursor World]], having experienced a vision forced on him by [[Blue Planet (GS)|Neo Primus]] before he could actually use the [[Silver Matrix]] to restart the universe. Primacron gloats and blasts Primus to reveal his true self: the noncorporeal Oracle made out of Angolmois Energy who was granted his [[Golden Power|golden, physical body]] by [[the One]]. The Oracle falls into a depressive episode at the realization that he's just been used by others, past, present, and future. But the light at the end of the tunnel comes as the spirits of [[Go Prime|Black Go Prime]], [[Optimus Prime (Universe)|Yellow Splendid Prime]], and [[Green Tender Convoy]] arise to battle Primacron. [[Sentinel Prime (G1)#Precursor World|Red Sentinel Prime]], having survived [[God Neptune comic 1|his fight]] with [[Terrormander]], shows up, reduced to his head form, and encourages the Oracle to fight his fate and to protect life from the evil uses of Angolmois Energy as the embodiment of good Angolmois Energy. Donning his new body as "Burning Red Sentinel Prime", he heads off into battle as [[Purple Wicked Convoy]]'s [[Gari Robo-kun|popsicle stick]] appears and reforms into Wicked's new, smaller body (kept just in case of emergencies). Wicked apologizes for tricking the others in pretending to team up with [[Megatron (G1)/Generation 1 cartoon continuity|Megatron Omega]] and heads off into battle with Primacron as well. The [[Golden Age (GS)|Golden Age]] [[Primus's envoy|envoy]] panics at the apparent foiling of Primus's grand plan, but his concerns go unanswered as Megatron Omega grabs him and absorbs his [[Golden Power]] to become Gold Megatron!

Gold Megatron does his unique form of reassurance, promising to Oracle that ''he'' will take his place as "Primus". To prove this, he uses the power of the Silver Matrix to create his own band of Megatrons, all colored in the seven different hues of [[Star Power]], as the [[New Primus Vanguard]]! [[Purple Megatron]] immediately goes to fight Purple Convoy, while the Oracle realizes the deep peril they're in with Gold Megatron's ambitions. Acknowledging that Megatron's eternal nemesis is the only one who can defeat him, the Oracle orders the Golden Age to release [[Optimus Prime (G1)/Generation 1 cartoon continuity|Star Convoy]] and endow him with Golden Power to become the mighty Gold Primus Convoy, who immediately goes off to fight Gold Megatron.

Primacron, busy with other matters, is deeply uninterested in this recent turn of events, but is besieged by [[Volcanicus (POTP)|Volcanicus]], assisted by [[Hun-Gurrr (G1)|Hun-Gurrr]] chewing up his [[Magma Blade (GS)|Magma Blade]] and spitting out the "Angolmois Blade" imbued with the power of Angolmois Energy that he consumed from Neo Primus. Volcanicus's strike is enough to cut off Neo Primus's energy, forcing the giant robot to revert into the [[Blue Planet (GS)|Blue Planet]]. [[Turtler]] celebrates on the surface, but his glee is interrupted by [[Red Megatron]] and [[Black Megatron]] starting their attack on everybody. Turtler rallies the Decepticons on the surface to form [[Scramble 7]], who makes short work of the Megatrons. Also on the surface is [[Scylla]], wounded, but alright. [[God Neptune]] attends to her, with [[Lawbhammer]] having been restored to his normal self. The pirate combiner goes off to assist [[King Poseidon]], joining forces as god and king. The future Silver Matrix is discovered on the Blue Planet by... [[Brightes]]? The [[Straxus (G1)#Precursor World|Straxuses]] are happy to see their leader apparently back to life till "Brightes" reveals himself to be [[Blue Megatron]] and blasts the two [[Blue Order]] traitors.

Blue Megatron brings the Silver Matrix to his master, Gold Megatron, and the mad [[Decepticon]] merges future and present Silver Matrices into the [[Gold Matrix]], with which he commands all of creation across all universes and all of time to become one!

In [[2050]] of the [[G1 World|Known World]], Megatron Omega continues his rampage across [[Earth]], igniting the planet's Angolmois Energy. A dejected [[Spike Witwicky (G1)|Spike Witwicky]] thinks its over for his homeworld, but Optimus Prime, knowing of Megatron's ultimate fate, claims somebody will come to purify his friend. Just in time, [[Lio Convoy]] announces his presence! Having [[Illusion? Lio Convoy|travelled to the past]] after his battles on [[Gaia]]—Earth in the future—Lio Convoy leaps into action and calls on the [[Selector]]s to grant him the power of their righteous Angolmois Energy, transforming him into the Green Lion. With his Lion Typhoon attack, he uses the good Angolmois Energy of the Matrix to counteract Unicron's evil Angolmois Energy within Megatron Omega. The giant devil explodes to reveal Megatron's spark, purified and enveloped with the Angolmois Energy of justice. Following the future Vector Sigma's wishes, Lio Convoy sends Megatron's spark on its way to the Precursor World.

[[Green Megatron]], battling Gold Primus Convoy in the Precursor World, is suddenly engulfed by the light of Megatron's spark. This "final Megatron" reveals his identity to his past self, Gold Megatron, and tackles him. Called on by the future-most Megatron to strike, Gold Convoy attempts to do so, but is attacked by [[Yellow Megatron|Yellow]], [[White Megatron|White]], and Blue Megatrons. This forces Convoy's gold covering to fade away and revert the [[Autobot]] to Star Convoy. This doesn't impede his desire for justice and uses his chest star to pierce Gold Megatron, forcing him to all of his power that he's accumulated since he arrived in this world and revert to [[Galvatron (G1)/Generation 1 cartoon continuity|Galvatron]]. His task done, Optimus Prime asks the Oracle to take them back to [[2011]], and the "god" does so, but not before Megatron gives his final farewell to his old friend.

Optimus Prime, the Oracle, and Galvatron are transported to the [[Triple Z Point]] in 2011, where Unicron has finished his resurrection. The Universal Dominator mirthfully claims nothing can defeat him now, as the Matrix is powerless. Optimus has an ace up his sleeve, however, and uses the power—righteous Angolmois Energy—of the Oracle to devastate Unicron's new body and seal the evil entity within the Triple Z Point. With all relevant catastrophes resolved, the Oracle erases Optimus Prime and Galvatron's memories of their time in the Precursor World and promises to return the other time-displaced Transformers to their proper eras. He thanks Optimus for teaching him the importance of preserving life and that it was arrogant to try to change the future before returning to the previous universe.

2050, after Megatron Omega's rampage, Spike on the [[Moon (moon)|Moon]] realizes that Angolmois Energy is far too dangerous and that [[human]]ity must abandon the planet to live among the stars. He promises that they'll [[Emissary of the Fourth Planet|take some time]] on [[Mars (planet)|Mars]] beforehand. [[Rung (G1)|Rung]] listens and the two promise that their two races will work together as equals, towards a beautiful future. In accordance, the Transformers erase all data of Earth, allowing it to become the mysterious planet known as Gaia... with a legendary green lion wandering it.

Time passes in the Precursor World. Primacron has disappeared and the Straxuses have set up [[Darkmount (Cybertron)|base]], where they keep the [[Matrix Sword]] and a captive Oracle. They've been quick to work, producing several "children" as products of their experiments and they serve as a captive audience for their creator's boasts of universal domination. [[Soundwave (BW)|A servant of Primus]] watches out of sight and resolves to fulfill his master's will...

A flashback of said event showed Unicron to still have his giant planet body that was first destroyed back in [[2005]] at the climax of ''The Transformers: The Movie'', meaning that Lio Convoy was sent all the way back to, at the latest, the early 21st century at some point before the events of the movie. His showing up here in 2050, and declaring his hesitance of interfering with history, suggests that he's been stuck in this century for at least 45 years. And when he first appears in ''Beast Wars Neo'', he knows the true nature of Angolmois Energy, which he would have learned about during his time in the 21st century. All this would then suggest that he returned to his future home-time several tens of millennia later by taking the ''looooooong'' way back home. ''Yikes!''
*When Green Megatron is possessed by "the final Megatron", he adopts a [[Cybertron Alliance]] cape and gains a fiery glow in his right eye. This is a visual callback to an appearance by this particular individual seen at the end of the "[[Cybertron Magna Convoy]]" comic, now revealed to be none other than Megatron himself (that is, the Megatron of 2050 purified by good Angolmois Energy).

*When the inhabitants of Earth leave the planet in 2050, they first go to the [[Moon (moon)|Moon]] before [[Spike Witwicky (G1)|Spike]] says that they'll spend some time on [[Mars (planet)|Mars]] before truly departing into space. Their going first to the Moon seems to be setting up the fact that the androids [[Artemis]] and [[Moon (BW)|Moon]] (who have been seen working with humans on Earth in previous chapters) will be stationed on the Moon by the time of ''Beast Wars II''. Similarly, Spike's statement about Mars explains why there were both ruins of an ancient civilization and a [[Martian emissary|messenger drone]] found on Mars in the ''Beast Wars II'' episode "[[Emissary of the Fourth Planet]]".
*The Transformers erasing all information about Earth to keep its Angolmois Energy safe and hidden provides an explanation for why Planet Gaia was so mysterious a planet by the time of ''Beast Wars II'', and also coincides with how Earth-space was deemed a forbidden zone by the [[Maximal High Council]] in the ''[[Beast Wars: Transformers (cartoon)|Beast Wars]]'' episode "[[Deep Metal]]".
*When Lio Convoy's powered-up green form made its debut in the episode "[[Legend! The Green Warrior]]", it was described in narration as "legendary" despite the fact that that was the first time he had ever assumed that form. Here, with Lio Convoy powering up to that form in 2050, we are given the explanation that the green lion form of his "became a legend" in the aftermath of Megatron Omega's defeat, creating a predestination paradox in the form's legendary status.
*Finally, the last two pages of this story provide a long-awaited answer for how the original ''[[Spin Off]]'' stories involving [[Convobat]] and [[Magna Convoy]] fit into this larger storyline, in that they all take place in the [[Precursor World]] after all of these ''Selects'' comics, but still at a point before the Precursor World meets its end and forms the new universe of the [[G1 World]]. In the final shot, we see the seven individuals who have inherited the [[Star Power|Seven Lights]] of [[The One]] as originally glimpsed at the end of the "Cybertron Magna Convoy" comic.

===Continuity errors===
*In a bit of [[to sell toys|toy-accuracy promotion]], Unicron's face is blown off by Primus/Oracle, revealing the inner working details of his head as seen on his [[Unicron/toys#War for Cybertron Trilogy|Planet class toy]]. However, this is at odds with how, when his physical remains are later seen in both ''Beast Wars Neo'' and ''Unite Warriors'', his face is completely intact.

===Transformers references===
*The front chest of Primus's new assistant body is able to fold upward (to open it up for the Matrix of Leadership to be placed inside) and back downward (to close it) in a design style very reminiscent of such [[Pretender|Pretender shells]] belonging to [[Mega Pretender]]s like [[Vroom (G1)|Vroom]] and [[Thunderwing (G1)|Thunderwing]].
*In typical Sakamoto fashion, lotsa toy [[repurposing]] goes on in this story:
**First and foremost, the Japanese [[Toys"R"Us]] giveaway figure [[Vector Oracle]] is repurposed (or, perhaps, officially purposed) as Primus's true form, simply named "Oracle", tying him back in with the two Oracles of ''Generation 1'' and ''Beast Machines''.
**The ''[[Generations Selects (toyline)|Generations Selects]]'' [[Optimus Prime (SG)#War for Cybertron Trilogy|Shattered Glass Optimus Prime]] is repurposed as [[Purple Wicked Convoy]]'s smaller, backup body.
**The ''[[The Transformers: Masterpiece|Masterpiece]]'' MP-3G [[Megatron (G1)/toys#MP5G|Megatron Gold Ver.]] toy (which had no unique bio of its own) is repurposed as Megatron's new "Gold Megatron" form taken from Primus's Golden Power.
**The ''Generations Selects'' [[Megatron (G1)/toys#GS01|Combat Megatron]] toy is repurposed as "[[White Megatron]]".
**The ''[[Triple Combination: Transformers Go! (toyline)|Go!]]'' [[Ratchet (WFC)/toys#Go!|Hunter Ratchet]] is, bizarrely, repurposed as [[Green Megatron]] (but there is a point to this, see "Continuity notes" above).
**The ''[[Transformers: Alternity|Alternity]]'' [[Galvatron (G1)/toys#Alternity|Galvatron]] toy is repurposed as [[Purple Megatron]].
**The ''[[Beast Machines: Transformers (toyline)|Beast Machines]]'' ''[[Dinobot (BM)|Dinobots]]'' [[T-Wrecks#Beast Machines|T-Wrecks]] is repurposed as "[[Red Megatron]]"

**The gold-[[vacuum metallizing|chromed]] Matrix accessory included with the ''[[Transformers: Cybertron (toyline)|Galaxy Force]]'' [[Optimus Prime (Armada)/toys#GoldGF|Galaxy Convoy Gold Version]] [[Lucky Draw figure]] is repurposed as Megatron's [[Gold Matrix]].
**The ''[[War for Cybertron Trilogy (toyline)|War for Cybertron Trilogy]]'' [[Rung (G1)#War for Cybertron Trilogy|Battlefield Rung]] toy is repurposed as Rung's righteous Angolmois Energy powered-up form.

*[[Sentinel Prime (G1)|Red Sentinel Prime]]'s new [[Transtector]] (a virtual redeco of the ''[[Titans Return (toyline)|Titans Return]]'' [[Hardhead (G1)|Hardhead]] body) and his "Burning" form are both a reference to [[Optimus Primal (BW)|Optimus Primal]]'s "Burning Convoy" form and to the red individual seen at the end of the "[[Cybertron Magna Convoy]]" comic, now revealed to be Red himself.
*[[Scramble 7]] was a combined form used by [[Turtler]] in the [[The Battle Begins! The Earth-Space Alliance Army|sixth chapter]] of the [[Transformers: Super-God Masterforce (manga)|''Super-God Masterforce'' manga]], now used for the first time in the cartoon continuity. Though, he is also still referred to as "[[King Poseidon]]" while in this form.
*King Poseidon refers to his team-up with [[God Neptune]] as the "rebirth of the Fantastic Double Seacons!!" (夢のダブルシーコンズ復活!! ''Yume no Double Seacons fukkatsu!!'') *When Gold Megatron prepares to use the Gold Matrix, he speaks the command "Subete no uchū o hitotsu ni!" (全ての宇宙を一つに, "All of creation, become one!" in this case). Like in Part 1 of this finale, this is a play on the phrase "Uchū o hitotsu ni" (宇宙を一つに), which is the Japanese-language version of the famous "[['Til all are one]]" mantra. Here, Megatron takes it to the extreme by essentially commanding the entirety of "all" in every universe to become one.
*Lio Convoy speaks of "the future Vector Sigma", in reference to its appearance in ''Beast Wars Neo'' as the "God of Cybertron" (which is further tied into the big Primus retcon with the above-mentioned notion of Primus becoming Vector Sigma).
*Star Convoy using his broken star crest as a weapon seems to be a nod to how the crest breaking off his chest is an unfortunately common occurrence for his ''Selects'' toy.

===Other trivia===
*[[Go Prime|Black Go Prime]]'s glowing spirit form has a blue hue to it that calls to mind the original use of his toy mold: [[Thundertron]]. Though, the deco layouts are not identical (Black's head glows dark blue rather than white, for instance, looking more like ''[[Transformers: Prime (toyline)|Prime]]'' [[Lio Convoy#Prime|Leo Prime]]'s noggin), so it's not a repurpose.
*This whole series has played around with the idea of one of the Transformers' deities hailing from a universe predating the present one and carrying over into the next, wherein their polar opposite is created as an eternal rival. This idea originated in the [[The Transformers (Marvel comic)|Marvel comic series]] as the backstory for Unicron, with [[The Void! (US)|Issue #74]] stating that he existed in an [[old realms|old universe]] and while Primus was created to oppose him in the new one. Here, the story is turned on its head with Primus hailing from the old universe while Unicron is created in the new one. Unicron was even (unwittingly) partly responsible for Primus's creation in the comics, while here it is Primus who (against his will) helps to create Unicron. Oh the irony!
*Scramble 7's coloration oddly depicts Cutthroat's ''[[Power of the Primes (toyline)|Power of the Primes]]'' appearance, as opposed to TakaraTomy's ''[[Generations Selects (toyline)|Generations Selects]]'' version depicted in the Abominus Chapter.

**Lastly, the White Order Sentinel is based on the [[McDonald's]] [[Commandron]] toys from Tomy, which Perez had previously used as inspiration for the color scheme of [[Sterling]]. Perez notes that any resemblance  to [[Halonix Maximus]] was entirely coincidental.
*As noted above, the barren planet that later becomes Cybertron is located at the center of the galaxy. While this is simply to match up with its location in "Call of the Primitives", it also coincidentally matches up with Cybertron's location in the far distant future, as given in the ''Beast Wars Neo'' episode "[[Fight! Maximals]]", bringing everything full circle from Cybertron's beginning to its final encounter with Unicron.
