==Synopsis==
Two days before [[Megatron (BW)/Beast Wars cartoon continuity|Beast Megatron]] and [[Optimus Prime (G1)/Generation 1 cartoon continuity|Optimus Prime]] met...

Travelling from [[Earth]]'s past to Earth in [[2004]] through the [[Blastizone]], Megatron brings along [[Psycho-Orb]]. The planet, as Megatron is aware, contains [[solitarium]]. But before he can begin plans to harness its energy, he seeks out the [[Decepticon]] forces on Earth.

Arriving at the [[Decepticon Headquarters (G1 Earth)|underwater Decepticon Headquarters]], Megatron challenges [[Starscream (G1)/Generation 1 cartoon continuity|Starscream]] for leadership. Infuriated at this apparent act of defiance, Starscream sends [[Air Hunter]] and [[Wingstun]] out of the room so he can deal with the usurper personally. Outside, Air Hunter extols Starscream's virtues while Wingstun is slightly unsure. Air Hunter's support is in vain, as Starscream's body soon bursts out of the room and Megatron declares himself [[Decepticon leader]].
