Editing Category:Variable species characters

In the ''Transformers'' brand, a character may be a [[Nebulan]] in one continuity but a Cybertronian in another. Alternatively, they could be part of the [[Junkion (species)|Junkion]] species, descended from Cybertronian ancestors in one continuity but unrelated to the Cybertronians in another.

This is especially common with characters originating as toys from [[1987]], the debut year of [[Headmaster (technology)|Headmasters]] and [[Targetmaster (technology)|Targetmasters]].

Note that this category is meant to cover characters who are different across separate portrayals and does not encompass characters born of hybrid engineering, such as [[Sari Sumdac (Animated)|Sari Sumdac]], or characters who undergo physical modification within a single continuity, such as [[Circuit Breaker (G1)|Circuit Breaker]].
