'''Laserbeak''' is an extension of his partner, [[Soundwave (Cybertron)|Soundwave]]. He is a [[drone]] whose programming is taken from a small portion of Soundwave's personality. The small bird is perfect for infiltration, sporting a stealth mode, smokescreens, cutting lasers, and various retractable tools for manipulating and retrieving objects.

Laserbeak was with Soundwave after he informed the Decepticons that he could lead them to [[Gigantion]]. {{storylink|Titans}} Laserbeak was again with his larger counterpart while the Decepticons searched for the last [[Cyber Key]]. {{storylink|Warp}} While Soundwave was assisting the other Decepticons on Gigantion during a battle, Laserbeak perched on Soundwave's shoulder. {{storylink|Giant}} 

Laserbeak was present while Soundwave and [[Sideways (Armada)|Sideways]] were scanning for something in the depths of a distant planet. Eventually they were caught by the Autobots, and questioned to know what they were doing. Upon discovery, Soundwave ejected Laserbeak, who spewed a fog which confused the Autobots, buying Soundwave and Sideways some time. While they were stumbling in the mist, [[Hot Shot (Armada)|Hot Shot]] attempted to shoot Soundwave but accidentally hit Laserbeak causing the fog to stop. After Soundwave, Sideways, and Laserbeak were teleported to another dimension, they were all seen happily dancing near an alternate version of Planet X, seeming pretty pleased with themselves. {{storylink|Beginning}}

: Released in the ''[[Transformers: Cybertron (toyline)|Cybertron]]'' toyline with Voyager Class [[Soundwave (Cybertron)#Cybertron|Soundwave]], Laserbeak is a robotic condor that transforms into one of Soundwave's hexagonal bombs. In this form can be stored in Soundwave's chest compartment, reminiscent of where [[Laserbeak (G1)|another Laserbeak]] spent his nights.

: Laserbeak can perch on the tips of Soundwave's wings in his condor form by inserting the [[5 mm post]] on his tummy into one of the trailing edge holes on Soundwave's wings. Since Laserbeak was not designed to be a normal Mini-Con, he does not have a Powerlinx adapter, nor does he bear the Mini-Con insignia. Nevertheless, the [[Hasbro]] packaging still calls him one.
