After acquiring the mind of legendary Autobot leader [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]] on a [[floppy disk]], Fortress Maximus authorized Project Prime, an attempt to build a new body for the deceased hero. The [[Project Prime team]] didn't have much luck, due to the depleted resources of the [[Steelhaven (G1)|Steelhaven]] following the creation of the Autobot [[Pretender]]s and the creation of a new body for [[Bumblebee (G1)|Goldbug]], himself a member of the Project Prime team.

Goldbug was later tasked with bringing the disk to [[Nebulos]] to use their advanced facilities to accomplish Prime's resurrection,{{storylink|Totaled!}} where he succeeded in his mission. {{storylink|People Power!}}
