The Speedia 500 is a race used to decide who the leader of Speed Planet would be.

===Cybertron Cartoon===

With [[Override (Cybertron)|Override]], along with the leaders of other planets, leaving on a new space bridge project she needed someone to lead speed planet in her absence so a race was held to see who would be the new leader. By quickly turning a sharp edge faster than [[Dirt Boss (Cybertron)|Dirt Boss]] could, [[Hot Shot (Armada)|Hot Shot]] won the race (even with his new, bulkier, less manoeuvrable body) and was thus chosen to lead, though he thought he was just racing. Dirt Boss blamed his tyres for his loss, saying he should have changed them first he would have won. [[Ransack (Cybertron)|Ransack]] and [[Crumplezone (Cybertron)|Crumplezone]] finished the race saying it was always pretty boys like Hot Shot that win. Ransack was apparently trying to impress [[Thunderblast (Decepticon)|Thunderblast]] but she wasn't interested. {{storylink|Beginning}}

==Notes==

* The race is named after the japanese name for speed planet "Speedia".
* In the Galaxy Force version Ransack was trying to win because Thunderblast promised to marry him if he won and he got in the fight with Crumplezone for not informing him.
