Pova is a planet somewhere in the galaxy, whose inhabitants have had dealings with the Cybertronians during their civil war. At some time in the past, a non-interference pact was signed between the Povians and both Transformer factions, ensuring that the Autobots and Decepticons would keep their war ''off'' of Pova.

Twenty years ago, however, [[Impactor]] and the [[Wreckers]] violated that agreement when they pursued the malicious [[Squadron X]] to Pova. After a brutal battle, Squadron X was captured and immobilized by the Wreckers. When Impactor called for a pick-up, though, [[Prowl (G1)|Prowl]] instructed him to turn the Decepticons loose rather than risk the political fallout with the Povians. Incensed at having pursued the butchers across nine sectors for nothing, Impactor shut himself inside the bunker with Squadron X, and killed all of them in cold blood. [[Springer (G1)|Springer]] reported his actions to Autobot High Command, and Impactor was sentenced to [[Garrus-9]] after being found guilty by [[Aequitas]]. {{storylink|Last Stand of the Wreckers issue 5}}

The official version, which "somehow" got leaked out to [[Fisitron]] for his ''[[Wreckers: Declassified]]'' datatracs, read a bit differently.
