* Lithones are shown to be capable of transformation in "[[The Planet-Eater!]]", the first issue of the [[Transformers: The Movie (Marvel Comics)|Marvel Comic adaptation]] of ''The Transformers: The Movie'', and the accompanying bios from the ''[[Transformers Universe (Marvel comic)|Transformers Universe]]'' books. This concept came from an earlier draft of the film script; the final film doesn't show them having any transformational abilities.
* Whether any relationship exists between the Lithones and the Transformers race is uncertain, but as the aspect of the Lithones transforming was dropped from the final film, it strongly suggests against the idea.
