With the beginning of the tri-annual rest period, Dicet's teacher assigned him a dissertation on any recent major interplanetary war. Dicet settled on the [[Autobot]]/[[Decepticon]] conflict, but decided the only way he was going to maintain interest in the subject was to use the experimental [[Transtime Pod]] his father was taking care of, to go back and see the war first hand. Though his father had explicitly told him not to touch the device, Dicet used it to project himself back in time. Making his first stop the [[Ark (G1)|Ark]] in the moments before [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]] sent it into a dive towards [[Earth]], he began making his way forward through all of the war's important events.

He had to stop himself warning the Autobots on one occasion, realizing that inadvertently changing history would be a bad thing indeed. Then during his visit to [[Mount Verona]], he became dizzy and fell on [[Ultra Magnus (G1)|Ultra Magnus]]'s head as the Autobot was hauling himself up the mountain to confront [[Galvatron (G1)|Galvatron]]. Though worried that he'd changed history in some small way, Dicet continued on his journey and nothing seemed to have changed. He finished after witnessing Galvatron being sucked into a [[time rift]], and returned home. Unfortunately his school project somehow got back to the Theturian government, who were horrified at the dangers the Transtime Pod posed, and scrapped the whole project. And then Dicet's father got uncharacteristically angry and incinerated the report, leaving Dicet to wonder if he had altered history somehow after all. {{storylink|The Quest!}}
