A council of Twin Star inhabitants contacted Kuran to check on the hidden evacuation of citizens from Sperity to Toruin in the face of a [[Decepticon]] raid. The blue robot contacting Kuran noted that it would take a hour to complete the evacuation and ordered soldiers to leave weapons on automatic and evacuate as well.

When [[Daniel Witwicky (G1)|Daniel]], [[Arcee (G1)|Arcee]], [[Wheelie (G1)|Wheelie]], and [[Brainstorm]] explored Toruin and found the hidden underground city of the Twin Star inhabitants, they were captured and brought to Kuran. Kuran was aware of the [[Autobot]]s and recognized the four as such, and despite his attempts of secrecy, Daniel figured out the alien robots' plan of hiding their energy in Toruin while the Decepticons searched Sperity in vain. When the Autobots tried to warn the Autobots battling the Decepticons on Sperity, Kuran refused to allow them to leave, not trusting them to keep the secret. To alleviate his concerns, Arcee and Wheelie agreed to stay in captivity as leverage. Brainstorm went to warn [[Fortress Maximus (G1)|Fortress]]. With the knowledge that they were fighting for nothing, the Autobots retreated, allowing the Decepticons to fall for the Twin Star inhabitants' deception. Once evacuation was compelte, Toruin disconnected from Sperity, leaving the Decepticons to find a pitiful amount of energy left behind on Sperity. {{storylink|Battle for Defense of the False Planet}}
