The corrupt ruling class of Daros was put in power thanks to their offer to the [[Decepticon]]s to exploit the Giant Undersea Oil Field as much as they wanted. They did so with gusto, having [[Scorponok (G1)|Scorponok]] park his large [[transtector]] next to the Oil Field and have the energy shipped into the structure.
