Hydrax Speedway had a variety of racing teams. One of them was named Team Velocitron, presumably after the [[Velocitron|lost colonyy world]]. The speedway itself fell early on in the war to a series of Decepticon strikes, which levelled it. However, they were ultimately driven off by the Autobots, one of the first Autobot victories int he war.

Many years later, [[Jazz (WFC)|Jazz]] claimed that the surface of Velocitron proper reminded him of the Hydrax Speedway, albeit on a grand planetary scale.{{storylink|Transformers: Exiles}}
